Travis starts his new series off with a BANG!! If you've read Travis' Nightlife series you know what to expect from his work, dark, erotic, paranormals, intense.... Well you wont be dissapointed with 'Angel 6.0: Concubine'....
Set in the future, in a cloning base orbiting Earth, where cloned worker humans are produced for a war like race of alien Cats known as The Gran, lives Angel. Angel isn't a worker clone, she's a secret, Unique, not even the govenment on Earth knows about her. But when she's seen by The Gran when they arrive early to pick up there worker clones, Angel's life is ultered.
This is just the begining of Angels life, her story so far has been everything you can expect from Travis, taking us on a dark, steamy & twisted journey. It gripped me from start till finish & I was disappointed when I got to the end, I want to read more Angel now... I can't wait to read book 2 of this new series.

I began and finished this "book" very quickly. One, because it's short, and two, because it's surprisingly good.
It's really just the beginning of a book. I still don't like or approve of this new trend of publishing pieces of books at a time. But it seems like I would miss a lot of good, new authors if I didn't read some of these. At least this author made it clear at the start that this was the first part of a series.
I really enjoyed this story. It hits all my reading buttons. It isn't perfect but certainly worth the read. I classified it as sci-fi romance, but so far it's sci-fi erotica. Maybe the romance comes in later. I love the premise and plan on reading the next installments to get the full story.

Well... if you have books by Travis Luedke, you have probably come to expect certain things from his work... like vampires and crazy addictive erotic scenes in a crazy dark world somewhere on the planet Earth. This is so not that.
Well kind of...
One thing I have discovered with Travis is to always expect the unexpected. Angel 6.0: Concubine was certainly an unexpected surprise for me to read. It is still Travis though: dark, twisty and erotic. But this is part one in a new time, place and a new breed of characters in a whole other dimension in time and space.
What on Earth am I talking about? Well, let's start there... this book starts in Nugene. It is an outpost orbiting Jupiter. But then you end up in a different solar system all together by the time all is said and done.
Angel is a beautiful clone of a human of course, she has been altered and has her own quirky personality. Like the dancing... Ok, I am a little jealous of the dancing. That just sounds fun. But she is a woman that has special attributes. She cannot reproduce but the Gran doesn't know that. She is not like all of the others that are created. She is unique. But when being seen changes everything in her world, we see a true blend of all she is capable of and all she desires.
When the Gran spot her, they really want her. They know she is special and there is something about her.
Now... the Gran... this crazy ass blend of a human cat creature... what the hell are they really? I don't know but I know they are not good. There is something innately wrong with them. They are mean creatures that enslave so many worker drones. Knowing that they cannot reproduce with her, they will find one that can, they want many of her.
I was so intrigued when I found out about this story. I couldn't fathom how Travis was going to make it happen and really if aliens and space creatures were really my thing...
It is hot, it is steamy and it is a crazy train, hop on and enjoy the ride. As Travis Luedke does with most everything he writes, he pushes the boundaries for me. What I would read and what I would enjoy. Even though I am in no way a big fan of the sci-fi genre per se, I found my self submerged in the pages of this saga.
Travis once again captured my attention and weaved a tale full of crazy that just begged to be embraced. The characters are a unique blend of crazy and the plot is incredible. I wasn't sure if I could do the sci-fi erotic blend but the way the worlds collide is passionate and exciting! I was captivated by the writing and the wit and a whole new cast of characters. I immediately fell in love with the story and wanted more.
Now, the part that I am going to have to learn to embrace is the different parts. This is just the beginning of the erotic and tumultuous plot and I want to know what happens next. The best part of Angel 6.0 is that as soon as the windows steam up, you can take a break, catch your breath and wait for the next installment. I wasn't sure how I felt about that when I started reading it. But now I can tell you, I am glad I will not have to wait long for the next segment of Angel's story!

I got this free from the author for an honest review. I thought the premise was interesting. A young woman developed through genetic engineering and clone technology has special abilities and is kept secret by the scientists who created her--until she is found out by an alien species with a delicate relationship with humans.
Angel is eager and quick to act. She is rebellious, but within reason, and follows instructions carefully from those who explain why certain actions could be dangerous for her.
The issues I have with this book:
1. She mistakes sex for love, and is easily used for sex
2. She is supposed to be super-smart, but I saw no evidence of this
3. Despite her intelligence and socialization, she shows no understanding of relationships, history or politics
4. The role of pain was disturbing--setting things up for abusive sex
5. While Angel comes to realize certain truths about her life, there is no emotional or character development
6. Angel claims monogamous emotional attachment, goes through a frightening and upsetting situation, and still finds it easy to have sex with a stranger
That being said, the story is full of exciting action and a good deal of sex. It does end on a cliffhanger.

This is one devilish angel, but this angel was made by man. Made in secret, in an illegal installation; the only female among the male clones and a race of vicious warrior cats. She is more than woman, pain for her is erotic, she heals quickly. But this experiment wants to live and love. That's it I don't like spoilers, suffice it to say that if you read SyFy mixed with sexy, strong women not afraid to beat the hell out of anyone this is for you. Author Travis Luedke has given us another great story but this time literally out of this world.

I'm happy to say I've reviewed the new audible version of Angel 6.0:Concubine. The narrator is fantastic and really brings Angel to life. She brings out all of Angel's strengths, faults, humor and feelings in the speech and tones of her voice, as well as those of the other characters. It was a joy to hear the story even though I had previously read it. It gives you new insight and hearing Angel's attitude is really great. Whether you previously read it or not, be sure and get it and enjoy it even more.

Angel is a surprising spit-fire of a genetic creation...a rare breed...which makes her that much more valuable and coveted by her caretakers and the Gran. She is sexual and is a little fireball of fury and cunning stealth when needed. Her make up is complex and makes her very unique indeed. After the betrayal of the one she grew to love and the loss of her father figure, she leaves on a journey to become a human slave to the Gran. The Gran are a catlike humanoid species that use genetically engineered humans as slave/workers. They are primal animals and feel superior to all ape-like species. Angel, having caught the eye of the leader of the ship, quickly learns she will be a sexual slave and used for breeding...even though she can't reproduce....doesn't mean she wont enjoy it or put on a good show ;) The book has a heat that catches you by surprise as much as it makes you laugh at some moments. I will be looking forward to the following books in the series to see how Angel fairs in this new situation.

As an avid fan of Travis Luedke’s Nightlife series, I’m familiar with his dark, intense dramas with smatterings of wry comic remarks. All of which is sandwiched between heavy doses of even darker sexual escapades , with quite a lot of tinges of BDSM thrown in to keep all the vampires, shifters and “others” on their toes.
This latest venture of his is into a future, where orbiting scientists are creating clone/drone workers for a race of alien Cats, in accordance to a “peace” treaty. Angelina, “Angel”, is not a worker drone. She is special, even secret! She does not fit in anywhere … and she is constantly looking for what all of us are looking for. Love and validation are what she seeks!
This is just the beginning of her journey … existing in secret, getting kidnapped by the Cats, trying to stay alive long enough to have a life. As usual, the author takes us on a steamy, dark, twisting journey of a read. And I loved it!

Travis really delves into a woman's deepest and darkest fantasies and does it with no warning. It's sexy, dirty, taboo, and it was hot!! I want more because while there's sex, there is a neat little story I'd like to read more of.

Travis Ludke is one of my new favs! As a paranormal junkie, I am always on the look out for awesome new stuff! People, you need to put him on your list of auto click. Expect the unexpectedly awesome. Think Ender's Game for adults or Red Sonja in space. Angel is a bio-engineered heroine, the perfect warrior bred as part of an experiment to overthrow the evil alien overlords. She's a kick-ass heroine with a Linda-Hamilton-Terminator-2 vibe, willing to do anything to survive.
Angle 6.0 is a perfect introduction to a sexy series. Luedke proves he can write in any genre with solid science behind the fiction mixed with intense erotica.

I was gifted this book for an honest review and have to say that this the first book of this kind that I have read and throughly enjoyed. the author did a wonderful job in writing this book. For a syfy style book it was done well. I think i will look for more of his series in the coming months as he gets them out for sure

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I was totally not prepared for this in the least. I have read this author before, and loved the other series but was not sure about a space opera. Well, I can say that I have been pleasantly surprised because I found myself liking this from the moment I started reading. I had a feel for the side characters fairly quickly and thought I understood the main character well also. The story flowed perfectly and gave a sense of where it was going to be taking you as it continued. The language seemed appropriate for each character and conveyed who they were.
Angel is different from all those on Nugene Station and she knows that better than anyone. She is an experiment but she is also more to the man she views as her father. The Gran area race of Cat warrior/flesh traders who come to Nugene for bodies to use in their trade.
Angel has been hidden from the Gran on their visits to the station, but in one fateful miscalculation they see her and decide that they must have her to add to their stock of human workers. That one glimpse causes Angel's world to spin out of control and she finds herself on an adventure she would not have chosen.
Angel seems almost childlike at first, like even though she has the body of a woman she has not really matured. Then you get to see that she is just emotionally open to everything and everyone. I like her for the strength she has and the vulnerability. I can see her growing and becoming a powerful force. I will be continuing to read to find out. Oh yeah, and the sex is so hot it almost melts your device! :) I recommend this highly!

Angel seems almost childlike at first, like even though she has the body of a woman she has not really matured. Then you get to see that she is just emotionally open to everything and everyone. I like her for the strength she has and the vulnerability. I can see her growing and becoming a powerful force. I will be continuing to read to find out. Oh yeah, and the sex is so hot it almost melts your device! :) I recommend this highly!

This is a dark disturbing beginning to a new series, it has a raw ugliness that captures your attention. The not so hidden agenda, the open betrayals, and dark sexual scenerios keeps your eyes glued to the pages and your breath held in horror filled fascination!!! Mr. Luedke, again challenges readers to walk in his world if only for a bit! This is not an everyone read...but if you like things dark...or scorchingly hot sex...or maybe not all things human this maybe be your libation for the evening! Can't wait for the next!!!

Brilliant Sci-Fi story....and I'm not a big fan of the genre.
This I could see being made into a film...I'm already casting the roles in my head!
Seriously, this is a very well written book.
The pace is lively and the heroine, Angel, is easy to identify with.
There is some violence but it is not gratuitous, it is integral to the plot as are the sex scenes.
Four stars given as it was disappointingly short!
I can't wait to read #2!

I am always a bit nervous when I read an “erotica” that is written by a man. They just have a completely different perspective and writing style, as to be expected.
I was pleasantly surprised with Angel 6.0 the story was well throughout and imaginative. I look forward to reading more.

Travis was definitly thinking out of the box on this book. He gives us a new twist on Humans vs Aliens in this paranormal series. Angel is a drone specifically made to save the human race but when she is taken buy a group of Alien Cats she becomes the captains concubine. She enjoys pain with her sex and the captain don't mind giving her both. This was a good book and I can't wait to read book 2

This book is intended for NC17 and above. This is the first in a multi-episodic tale of a space opera romance.
Humans made a mistake.
In our quest to explorer space and prove whether or not there is other intelligent life out there, we found what we were looking for or more accurately, they found us!
Using our intelligence to jump around space, we jumped to the attention of the Gran. A cat race evolved to walk on two legs and incredible intelligent. They have as much in common with our cat species as well...Alien to Sigourney Weaver. They are aggressive, focused, and unhindered by such human things as emotions. They are a warrior species and their goal is to find, overtake, and enslave other beings to do their work.
The Gran quickly take advantage of the unexpected encounter with an intelligent race that will make the perfect slaves. They marshal their forces and send an attack armada to earth.
It's a long and bloody battle that ends when a treaty is signed.
Out in space is the Nugene space station. The result of the treaty where scientists create human clones, destine for enslavement to the Gran.
One of those scientists has been trying to find the answer. The answer to a question that the people back on earth should be asking. How can we free the human race without total destruction?

She's the answer, maybe. Angle 6.0 is a clone but nothing like the other clones. She's a hybrid and she's supposed to stay hidden when the Gran come to the station. Problem is they showed up early and she's dancing in the Zero G.
Captain Cronin, the Gran representative has seen something he wants and he will not be denied. Carver the human liaison to the Gran tries to explain that his request is not possible but Cronin will not be denied and is willing to do anything to get what he wants.
Carver doesn't want to lose Angel. They have a very special relationship. Angle has learned many things from him, mostly in the bedroom. Angle's no push over. She knows every square inch of the space station and easily evades the Gran warriors trying to capture her.
Cronin's patience has worn out and he's shut the space station down, locked up all the humans and called in reinforcements.
At first Angel's having fun, not as much fun as sex, for which she has an almost insatiable appetite for but she's forgotten a very important fact about the Gran that will point out her hiding location and set the wheels in motion for a disastrous confrontation.
Captain Cronin has seen that this clone is different and he wants her to breed more like her. A special breed. Whisked away on the Gran ship she wakes to a nightmare. Not only is she the concubine of Cronin, but is expected to breed with a criminal, a criminal whose hygiene hasn't been a priority. I receive this book to read and review. This is my first forge into the sci fy romance world. Travis Luedke made the transition into this world effortless. If you have read any of Travis Luedke books that means you are a fan of his sensual sex scenes and after reading this book I can understand the fascination for all of his books. Travis book is unexpected, I can say that his books are intriguing, it will grabs your attention and you will want read the entire book in one session. I enjoyed reading this book.

I was captivated by his writing, wit and cast of characters.

She has been capture by the Gran in order to have babies but what the Gran don't know is she isn't human and she's sterile she can't have babies. But when being seen changes everything in her world, we see a true blend of all she is capable of and all she desires. But the Gran spot her, they really want her. They know she is special and there is something about her.
The Gran is a cat that stands walks and have physical attributes like a human cat. They are bad military types. They enslave a lot worker drones and some humans. The captain knows she cannot reproduce , but he would like a human like her who can, he wants her for his concubine.

Well i was totally surprised with this, i'm not into Space age romance erotica, but this foray into it has left me wanting more.
Angel is a clone, created on the Nugene, she's living it up even as she's subjected to medical research that test her abilities to determine how good she is. The head doctor sees her as mankind future and his ticket to a Nobel Prize. This is all she knows but she's happy and free there as she has free rein in her element of Zero G, until the day the Gran comes early and spots her dancing free and decides they want her as part of their stock. She tries to escape but is tricked by her lover Carver and handed over.
Unfortunately the jokes' on her captures as they want to breed her, but even as she reiterates she's sterile, they don't believe and asks her to choose her mate from among the worker drones, but as they have no sex drives, she gets Jason instead.
With her amazingly high sex drive, ability to not feel pain but turn it into pleasure, she is definitely in for a while ride especially when Captain Cronin(Cat in charge)discovers she's different and uses her for his pleasure.
What's a girl to do when she's caught between a rock and a hard place? For Angel it looks like she's special friends with a Cat for the foreseeable future until she can escape.
I really got into this book and i loved the voice of Angel, she's clear, upfront practical and a girl who can fight and love at the same time.

When I first asked to read this as a reviewer I was excited because of the premise of the book.
I love books about humans being taken by aliens, they are awesome. This book is darker than I like but thats my own specific preference.
The book was well written but I am afraid that it didn't hit any of my triggers and as such I am only going to stick with the facts of the book.
The sex scenes were very well done and I applaud Travis Luedke for his creativity and imagination in his writing.
Angel, herself, is definitely an interesting character and in many ways seems more human than the humans in the book but in other ways, you can definitely tell she is a genetically modified clone. She was taken and locked into a cell by the Gran after losing people who were important to her. Because of her capabilities the Gran fear her and want to breed her but she's a sterile clone which she tries to tell them but they basically say breed or die.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Angel 6.0 Concubine but being a fan of Travis' NightlIfe series I wanted to give it try. I love the book. It is futuristic with enough BDSM and other worldly creatures to keep you enthralled.
