I love witch stories so I hopped right on this one!

I think this book would've benefited more if it was longer. The first sex scene felt premature, especially with Levi being a victim and essentially a prisoner for 9 years. And every other sex scene after that just wasn't it for me. I'm also not a fan of pet names.

I loved the author's writing style, but the build up was most of the book (Levi's trauma totally made me cry) and the climax was way too abrupt and fast (my vindictive side wanted more) . All in all a good read.

The book itself was enjoyable, but the pacing felt rushed. It had all the elements of a five-star read, yet the compressed timeline held it back. Everything unfolds within just a few weeks…everything. The main characters meet, fall in love, confront the villains, and end up together in roughly two weeks. Still, the premise was strong, and I’m looking forward to seeing more from this author.

I got the first 6 chapters as an advanced read and was blown away, everything about this has been fantastic so far and I can't wait to read more!
