Seriously, how much can go on in one short book, Cole blows hot and cold all the time, he says Avery can't talk to Connor or Jeremy, her stepfather is causing trouble telling lies to police and anyone else who'll listen, there is a strange man following her and turning up at Cole's apartment. Jeremy insinuates that Cole is not a good man and Avery is scared of Jeremy due to a past incident and he's blackmailing her, somewhat timidly right now but I get the feeling that's going to change. No wonder I can't keep track of anything!!!

DELICIOUSLY SINFUL !!!

Stepbrother Demands is the third book in the powerful new series, His Twisted Games by Chloe Hawk. This is a fantastic read but please be aware, this is a serial. Personally I love serials but I recognize they may not be everyone's cup of tea. The story is exciting, thrilling, compelling, erotic, romantic, sensual and sexy. The dialogue is smart and well written. The characters are captivating, engaging and intriguing. Hawks has really kicked up the heat and it is smoking hot! Motives begin to surface and new characters are introduced. Ghosts from the past emerge to threaten Avery and Cole. Oh my! This just gets better and better! Wealthy older stepbrother who managed to escape an abusive father and forced to leave everyone behind-check! Beautiful angry and abused stepsister trying to escape an abusive stepfather-check! Enemies with malevolent intentions-check! Blackmail, betrayal, jealousy and drama-check! Heated attraction and forbidden love-check! Fantastic entertainment and an awesome read! I only have one little complaint - I love this series so much that I searched for a link to sign up for new releases but could not find anything nor could I find an author page on Amazon. Hmmm.....how will I know when Part 4 is released? That is a little upsetting.

So far, so good. This book is keeping me interested. In case your wondering...I started out reading this book in a different book called Hurt So Good. A collaboration of books from Kelly Favor, Hannah Ford, and Chloe Hawk. The first couple of "chapters" are in this main book. It is then up to you to purchase the other "parts" of the book. I say parts because you are literally paying to read tiny parts or fractions of a book at a time. I guess in a way that's not to bad so you can read the first chapters to decide if you like it, but I hate only getting a book in little pieces. Annoying!!!!

Cole went to a strip club with friends one night, and sees this chick dancing. He was interested in getting in her pants. She was hot as hell. Problem was when she turned around Cole discovered the girl was his step sister Avery that he hadn't seen in 5 years. Talk about effed up.

Avery never wanted to work in the strip club. She needed money to get out of her house fast. Her step father was coming in her room and watching her while she slept and masturbating all over her stuff. She was desperate to get out before he did something they couldn't come back from.

Cole's father is a piece of crap. He is extremely abusive and hes a sexual predator. He is constantly hitting his wife and "making her pay" for any situation he doesn't like. Avery's mother is a typical abuse victim, sticking around, hoping he will change. She makes excuse after excuse for this d-bag.

Cole decided he was going to take care of Avery. She was going to come live with him and never have to go back home again. The issue with this is they are so sexually attracted to one another they can't keep their hands to themselves. Even though there is no blood relation between them, they were raised as brother and sister, so its hard to see the relationship any other way. To make matters more interesting Cole is a Dom. YUM.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about the whole step-brother thing, but I ain't gonna lie....it didn't bother me like I thought it should. Ill be reading the rest of the story. :) PURRRRRR

I really want to say this series is getting better, that I'm enjoying it and that you are missing out on something great. Yet, I really can't. This book makes no sense to me at all. It's still choppy, not that well constructed. The author concentrates and details the 'sexual scenes' yet washes over things that would make the story make sense.

Avery is one girl who is beyond immature and mentally screwed. I understand she's had a hard life, has been Hiding some big secret with Jeffrey and U.S. Confused over her feelings for Cole who himself us fucked up and not really forthcoming with info either, but Avery just makes no sense at all.

I'm not even sure why I keep reading, maybe that's why I am giving these books 3 stars because I feel compelled to keep reading? either way I just hope they build up to something good and I'm not talking about Avery doing the deed with Cole!

Overall: The story is starting to pick up and we are getting some more answers to all the questions we have. It is still bothering me that the author keeps writing that they are step siblings. As a reader, I already understand that they are step siblings and I don't need to be reminded every few seconds about it. It's DRIVING ME CRAZY!! I also wish Cole would get off of his high horse and start treating Avery a little better. Every other moment he is cutting her off or dismissing her. I really want to like the characters, but personally they are starting to get on my nerves. I hope that the story gets better as it progresses.

Characters: Avery & Cole

So many secrets...

I know it is totally unbelievable that people would lack that much communication. But at this point I don't really care. I'm on the ride, and it's like a really good daytime soap or even a really good lifetime show. I fell like pieces of this might be taking something from 50 shades, but I like Avery. I like how she's innocent but not stupid she kinda weighs out her opens. I'm sorry but if Cole was being all cryptic with me, I'd go hunting for info, even if Jeffery is skeezy.

It started out so strong!
The reasons we need to be together are our prologue. The reasons we couldn't are our epilogue.
And I was like DAMN.

And then blah. In its defense, the novella is only 30 pages which I feel is difficult to give a proper rating because very little happened! So it was just okay.

We finally got Cole's reason as to why he left, a bit weak if you ask me. Guy is a typical skirt chaser and he can't even defend himself or those people he cares about. His thing with is giving me deja vu and steering towards the Shades of Grey variety- I sincerely hope I'm mistaken, It aint my cuppa tea. Now, who is this Mr. Mo? (short for Moustache) geddit??

I liked it, like the story line, the characters keep your attention, but it's too short and the books are not released close enough together. It's putting me off the series. Just too short. It just drops off and you get left with more questions than answers.

Again not a fan of serials but the story line is good.

There are soooo many layers to this. At least now we know why he left (but is there more to the story? What happened with Jeffrey and Avery? Who is the mustache guy? How much more annoying can kalia be?

I'm liking the book. On to book 4

the book is good but all of them are too short. About the time you really get into it you have to get the next book.

Avery and Cole again

Another short book for a buck. This series is gonna be 8 bucks when I'm done. Why can't it all be in one book? Cole has secrets that he won't share.
