Imagine a world where a computer program allows you to choose your dreams. While TV reporter Nina Russo is thrilled to cover the story, once the program hits the streets, she sees signs of mass public addiction developing. To make matters worse, eDream developer Bob Cole discovers a deadly virus embedded in the software code. Within hours of the discovery, he’s dead. Now Nina and FBI agent Scott Williams must stop the code from activating before it’s too late for millions of innocent dreamers.

eDream by James Duffy is an interesting sci-fi book about lucid dreaming and computers. It is an easy and relaxing read and I liked the premise. It didn't strain my brain and it was creative too. A nice read. I enjoyed it.
Gripping, interesting premise but not so great delivery. This had so much potential but somewhere along the way it simply felt like words on a page with no direction.
This book shows you how money and power are at the root of so many large corporate endeavors, without regard to what people really need or want. Everyone is expendable--employees and customers alike--as long as the people running the corporation make their massive profits. It shows you how easy it is to sway people into believing new technology is "essential" to them. In this example, the eDream device, was more than merely addictive; it was deadly.
This book kept me going from the first chapter to the last. It was intriguing, thrilling, adventurous, and pulse pounding. I am sad it's over. A sequel would be fantastic, even if there was no open ending. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Sci-fi or wants something different than the typical. I would suggest that everyone should read this.
I feel bad that I did not nominate this tittle at Kindle Scout even though I see it. At first I don't think that this is good story. But I read it through Kindle unlimited after it was published. I love it. This is great story because it was simple and yet conveys deep emotion. I can feel the characters pain. Thank you for the great job. Cannot wait to read another book from Mr Duffy
First of all, I received this book for free as part of the Kindle Scouts program. I really enjoyed the book (more than I expected, to be honest). The ideas are interesting and believable at the same time. The book has a good pace and it kept me wanting to know what's coming next all the time.
It is perfectly fine if you want to relax. The plot is pretty predi table and there is plenty of text that you can skip with no harm, but overall it is fun. Indeed, the possible implications of computer induced, on demand lucid dreaming are interesting.
