Dean and Liz have been best friends for a decade. These two are best buddies. They support each other in the ups and downs of life. Liz is attending her older sister’s wedding activities and Dean is along for moral support. Her older sister’s wedding is a mean, nasty woman as well as Liz’s mother. They are always trying to humiliate her and degrade her. Dean steps in to stop this and ends up proposing to Liz. Her family is shocked and she is also. What will happen next? Three days of pretending or three days of true feelings? It is funny, emotional, romantic, enlightening and all consuming. It’s a quick little read that will brighten your day.

I enjoyed this book so much. Dean and Liz have been close friends since their college days and are in love, though neither knew it. Liz has a rotten family who are always putting her down or finding fault with her being single. Dean is sick of standing by and watching this happen, so he suggests a fake engagement between them. These two characters are so perfect together. They have been friends for so long, they think alike and finish each other's sentences. One of my favorite tropes is friends-to-lovers, and this book is it. Dean and Liz are about to learn that being lovers is so much better! Fantastic book with the absolute best happy ending.

Lena Little has been a favorite author of mine for some time now, she knows how to grab onto her readers from the 1st page to the last. The story of Dean and Liz is one of being in love with your best for years and not wanted to lose your friend to tell her how you feel. But a situation arrives where you don't have a choice but now you have to convince her that you are being truthful. This is the 32nd book in the Steamy Shorts series and you will be sorry if you miss this one!.

What did I just read?!😬

This was my first AND LAST book by this author. It sounded like a middle school student wrote this. There was. I depth. The story went from 0 to 100 squick. There was no romantic vibes given. The overuse of “Liz” and “Dean” made me not want to finish. They said each other’s names in every sentence of every paragraph of every page 🤦🏾‍♀️ It was so hard to read. I’m only giving it a one start because of the nice book cover.

The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

The proposal at the end was genuinely touching, and I absolutely loved it. It was simple yet full of heartfelt emotion, and that's what truly matters. The story was brief, but I felt every bittersweet tear and laugh shared between our MCs, making it incredibly memorable.

This was a really cute read. I enjoyed the little laughs and the slight drama. Dean is a great guy and him and Liz are perfect for each other
