Same Man

Rate this book
Dreama Carter is the queen of the kitchen, but she’s starting to smell something burning in her marriage. For ten years, she and her NBA-star husband, Darin, have been the ultimate power couple. But lately, the distance between Charlotte and Darin’s frequent "business trips" to Atlanta feels longer than a flight. Between the demands of her booming catering empire and the physical toll of being a mom, Dreama’s intuition is screaming that her husband is playing a game she doesn't know the rules to.

Aileen Thomas is Atlanta’s most elite event planner, a woman who thrives on order and perfection. She’s spent three years building a life with a man she believes is her future, a man who is a devoted father to her young son. She’s professional, polished, and ready to execute the wedding of the season at the Governor’s Mansion. She has no idea that the man she loves has been living a lie that spans state lines.

When Dreama lands a career-defining contract to cater a high-society wedding in Atlanta, she sees it as a chance to expand her business. She doesn't know that she’s walking into a meticulously planned trap.

In a weekend where the guest list is lethal and the truth is the main course, two women are about to find out that the man they both adore has been orchestrating a masterpiece of betrayal. As the clock ticks down to the "I do's," the geography of Darin’s lies collapses, proving that in the game of love and secrets, someone always gets burned when the two worlds finally collide.

Loving the Same Man

Shmel you came back with that fire 🔥. Darin knew he should've handled that before it blew up like that. 3 years and he thought Dreama would forgive him. Aileen was just as delusional. The whole time she knew he was married and decided at someone wedding to create drama. Dreama loved her husband and was deeply hurt but she handled her business and focused on her kids and business. She didn't do like Aileen and deny her kids and relationship with their dad and grandparents. Loved this story.

Need a better ending

Very good read I loved Dreama. But that Aileen the typical side piece baby mama she could have been said something but her trying to be sneaky cost her. Now Darin you messed up your marriage for what I just wish the book would have continued on it took a whole book leading up to something that ended in knew chapter. Good read though.

predictable from the start

It was just a okay read. Some parts weren’t believable in this day with instant internet access to information, especially with a well known person.

Same

The anticipation as to what would happen once the dreaded day arrived kept me turning the pages! Dreama was a class act! Darin lost a good one.
