Rate this book

Its major weakness is the use of multiple perspectives-- that's my main problem with this book, actually. The number of characters-- there are a lot-- wouldn't have mattered if the point of view was only limited to three or even five main ones, shifting every now and then. But the fact that almost all of the characters have one or two chapters told in their own perspectives, which sometimes has no distinguishing "voice" from the other characters, greatly affected my enjoyment of the story as I kept zoning out a couple of times and getting confused in the middle of a narration that I thought was being told be a different character. It would've helped if they also have a solid and unique characterization that clearly distinguishes each of them from the others. It isn't any fun reading a book with a lot, if not all, of the females resorting to crying and a bit of or sometimes all-out hysteria. I think giving the characters a more 'human' personality will help in setting them apart from each other. In real life, there are people who won't shed any tears at all for the death of someone they've only just met, you know. I did enjoy the worldbuilding, though. This is not a bad book; it's just not my cup of tea.

**should've used third person perspective
