Chesterfield Prep Devils #1

That Pucking New Girl

Rate this book
Time tends to move slower when you’re counting down to a goal. For me, it’s aging out of the system, and no longer being someone else’s problem.

My migraines and POTS symptoms come with a host of different appointments, doctors who won’t listen to me when I tell them I’m in pain, and teachers who gaze at me with indifference due to my seeming lack of attention. Brain fog is no joke when you’re in the trenches fighting for your life.

And yet, I continue to watch the days go by, waiting until I turn eighteen.

The best laid plans are those the universe laughs at, and now there’s a family who wants to adopt me at the ripe old age of seventeen, in spite of my health issues.

I’m not sure what will become of me, but everyone says there’s a better life ahead for me in Santa Barbara. This comes with a new school, new challenges, and the Chesterfield Devils.

Deep breath, Noor. You just might get through this alive.

This is a second gen spin from The Carlysle Kings duet. Enter with caution, the twists will be even worse this duet!

When life won't stop knocking you down

Man Noor needs a freaking break. This girl has had it rough since she was 8 years old. She is about to be 18 now. She's a foster kid a couple months from aging out of the system. She has POTs and chronic migraines. Aging out not only has her losing her home but her medical coverage too. However she has a guardian angle and is meeting a family who wants to adopt her. They already know about her history and her medical challenges which makes them want to help even more. They have the money and space to not only let her live but to help her thrive.

With everything that had tried to destroy her she keeps surviving. She keeps fighting. She keeps living even when it is hard. She definitely has her struggles but she is a fighter.

I loved seeing the family accept her so immediately. They wanted her because of her situation. They wanted to be able to help someone that would have fallen through the cracks and probably not survived. The way they show her she matters is beautiful and I loved seeing her blossom.

Unfortunately a new school was not the new start she expected. She is immediately targeted by the Hockey players know as The Devils. They believe they are kings and act accordingly. They never expected Noor to be such a challenge. The way they treat her is awful and not just once but multiple times. They are happy to use and abuse (or let other abuse) her.

these boys infuriated me. Sure their lived are not perfect and one’s story is very close to Noor’s but none of that gived them the right to treat her like they did. These guys deserved more run ins with tasers and Noor’s other weapons. They better grovel hard in book 2. i understand the guys have their struggles too but it does not excuse them.

I loved seeing her fight back. Even when it wasn't successful she wasn't willing to go down without a fight. I loved that her new family was immediately protective like she had never experienced. The way the little kids adored her from the minute she arrived was adorable.

I knew this had a cliffhanger ending but I did not expect it to be that. Seriously Jenn that was diabolical. This girl has already been through so much and things were starting to ease up for her. Thankfully part 2 comes out soon so there is not a long wait.

That Pucking New Girl is book one of the Chesterfield Prep Devils.

It's just one thing after another for Noor. She cannot catch a break. Even when it looks like her world might be turning around for the better, something else comes around and ruins it all for her. I can't wait for the next book to see how everything concludes.

ARC Review

I don’t generally like high school bully romance because….teenagers. However, if I’m going to love this trope, it’s going to be because Jenn Bullard wrote the book.

This one had me yelling and smashing things. The tension and the trauma were PALPABLE. I was on the edge of my seat from about 50% to the unbelievable cliffhanger at the end. I need the next book YESTERDAY.

This could be a standalone duet, but you’re really missing out if you haven’t read the Carlysle Kings duet first. I highly recommend starting there so you can fully appreciate the drama, heartbreak, and soul of it all.

I have read book chapters shorter than the trigger and content lists for this book. Please read it. Jenn Bullard is a master of the dark romance craft, but this one hits very close to home for anybody who experienced bullying in high-school (ya know, all of us). Your mental health matters.

Oh My Gosh! @JennBullard knows how to slay your heart! This one is a bleeder!
Noor has had a tough life, finding out at the age of 8 that she has POTS Syndrome gives her the reason she is so ill all the time.
Her parents constantly fighting over the cost of Noor's healthcare does nothing for her mental health.
And then Noor watches in horror as her father and mother die in a murder suicide. Something a 9 year old should not have to witness.
She is left to go into the system. Which did not treat her kindly.
With severe mental health issues, depression and anxiety being high on the list, Noor wonders why she is even still alive.
Bearing internal and external scars for life, she is suspicious of the offer to meet a new family.
A family who want to foster her with the option of adoption before she turns 18
The clock is ticking. She is 171/2 and does wonder why would any one want someone as messed up as her?
I loved this story so much, and my heart broke with each and every page I read, for Noor.
Then she thought maybe there was someone watching over her as Rachelle and her husband Jared meet up with Noor, and are extremely persuasive in wanting Noor to give them a chance at giving her a better life.
She decides to trial living with them.
Not realising just how big this family was, she soon finds herself engulfed in lots of people. People who wanted to take care of her. People who were prepared to love and look after her. They were the rest of Rachelle and Jared's family.
Rachelle had her own demons growing up and is determined to help Noor in any way she can.
As Noor finds herself getting settled into life with the Denton's, she knew she had to attend school. The Chesterfield Prep School, which was Rachelle's baby. A school for kids that didn't fit in.
She thought she would be relatively safe, just stick to herself, head down and don't make eye contact. But her f*cked up world had news for her and that was The Chesterfield Devils! Meet Alistair, Draven and Ciaran, known as The Devils.
Meeting them on her first day was one of the worst things that could happen to her.
The rest of the story revolves around The Devils being totally brutal in the way they treat her.
But underneath all that hurt, Alistair, Draven and Ciaran were starting to see the error in their ways.
Unfortunately too little, too late as Noor finds a way to study without meeting up with them everyday.
This story is dark, with plenty of triggers, and as I continued on reading, I did not think anything more could shock me.
But @JennBullard loves to shock her readers, and when I reached the cliffy!! Lets just say I tried to throw my kindle......
You may all want to scream and shout at her like I did. Yep it is that good!!
Now to read on in Book 2 of this duet, Her Pucking Devils!

I knew Jenn Bullard was going to put me through it with Noor and the Devils, but I wasn’t prepared for just how emotionally invested I would become in Noor finding the family, safety, and sense of belonging she’d always deserved.

In this book we meet Noor. She is the kind of character I couldn’t help but become protective of. She’s been through so much before we even meet her, and Jenn never makes her trauma the only thing that defines her. She’s stubborn, sarcastic, incredibly resilient, and still vulnerable in ways that made her feel real. It was honestly so great to watch her interact with a family she never knew she needed. Fans of the Carlysle Kings duet will recognize some familiar faces in the Dentons, and I loved getting to see these characters again in a completely different stage of their lives.

And then there are the Devils—Alastair, Draven, and Ciaran. These three made it incredibly easy to understand why Noor wanted absolutely nothing to do with them. They are cruel, possessive, obsessive, and somehow manage to make one terrible decision after another when it comes to her. But Jenn also gives us glimpses beneath each of them that made me want to understand how they became the people they are, even while I was yelling at them for the things they were doing. I never wanted their histories to excuse their behavior toward Noor, and I don’t think they’re meant to. If anything, by the end of this book it felt like we were only just reaching the point where they might finally understand how much damage they’ve caused and how much work they’ll have to do if they ever expect to deserve a place in Noor’s life.

In summary, they’re walking talking dipsticks and I don’t see anything redeeming about them. But also knowing Jenn and seeing how the Carlysle Kings snuck up on me, I think the Devils will sneak up on me as well.

Btw Jenn, you’re truly evil because that cliffhanger was brutal and I’m not ok.

I’m gonna start off with warning you all that this is a duet and, therefore, ends in a cliffhanger, no need to worry though, Jenn is releasing part two a week after the first one.

As you probably already know, this is the second gen of the Carlysle kings, so expect darkness and bully. It’s brutal, painful, and absolutely incredible! Please make sure to check your triggers and take care of yourself—you matter!

I’m going to try to keep this as vague as possible to avoid spoilers, but what I will say is that Noor, our FMC, is put through hell by these jaded boys. This is the main storyline, one of the secondary storylines we see though is how this all affects the Carlysle kings, I adore this, they already earned their redemption in "unspoken lies" but this offers them a chance to truly reflect on their actions in a way they couldn’t in their own book. Hats off, Jenn!

This also brings me to one of my favourite aspects of this author’s writing: while a book may end the characters aren’t ever truly gone. They keep growing and evolving even past when their story is over, giving us the unique opportunity to see them again later in life. This is so special and something I will never take for granted.

So while this is separate from the Carlysle kings and you can read this without the extra lore, you really benefit from reading that first.

Is this enough information about the book? Probably not. Am I gonna explain it any further? No.

This book is top notch, it’s a masterpiece and I don’t want to spoil it. This is one of those books where you need to feel and experience the twists and turns this author is known for. I refuse to jeopardise that and rob you of this amazing journey.

✨May contain spoilers✨
✨Read the trigger warnings ✨

I am addicted to Jenn’s books. The way that she will make you want to devour this book in one sitting is exactly what she does to be every single freaking time. She knows exactly what she is doing.

Please read the trigger warnings because your mental is everything.

I just knew from the first page of this book that this was going to be an emotional roller coaster with Noor. Draven, Ciaran and Alistair put Noor through the wringer with this masterpiece. She’s already been through a lot and the moment she enters a whole new life, these guys are there to torment her.

I’m such a fan of a bully romance and this checked off all the boxes.

As a girl with an autoimmune disease, the way that Jenn portrayed Noor’s struggle and how she dealt with life was so good to see because it’s truly. It easy. When people think you’re faking it and your beating yourself up of what to do, to see someone living with their own struggles makes you really think.

As crazy as this book truly was, it was simply beautiful because I was either shocked by what these crazy boys were doing to make her life as horrible as it could do. Then, there was her home life and I was here for those moments. I love that she has so many people that care about her and they will stop at nothing to protect her. Emil happens to be one of my favorite people that really shined for me.

I’m just so happy I don’t have to wait to longer for the second part of this duet. That cliffhanger has me eager for more because just… wow! And I need to read the first gen. of the Carlysle Kings because they are amazing and I want to read their story and how they came together.

Buckle Up!!

⚠️Hard Stop - check the content warnings (if you have TWs) before starting this book. This story is intense and I could not put this down!

I was so excited we were getting a second generation from The Carlysle Kings Duet!! And yes, we get some really great scenes with the OG characters.

Noor is aging out of the foster system and struggling with chronic illness and is shocked to find out that a family is interested in adopting her. She moves to Santa Barbara and ends up at Chesterfield Prep…and well, let’s just say things take a turn….the question is, is for better or worse?

So I can tell you nothing else about the plot - no spoilers here - other than I was on the edge of my seat leading up to the end…. AND THAT ENDING 👀 I gasped out loud!! But have no fear, book two is releasing quickly after book 1. You get a chance to digest everything that happened (and yes, you are going to need a minute or two to decompress!)

This book has some of the best and most realistic migraine and POTS rep I have read. I felt for Noor and everything she was going through - including struggles with the medical profession, etc. Even the language about acceptance and accommodations was so well written.

In case you were wondering - Calvin is still a national treasure & Liliana is still an absolute badass. And yes - seeing the other OG characters as adults/parents was amazing!!! And also Emil as a grandfather 💀

✨ What To Expect:

🖤 Dark Romance / Suspense
❤️‍🔥 Why Choose MMMF
🥀 Dark Bully Romance
💋 Unhinged Characters
🏥 Disability / Chronic Illness Rep
💙 Mental Health Rep
🔁 Forced Proximity

It wasn't bad, it wasn't that good either.

I've only seen good reviews on it, so I'll list some of the things I wasn't convinced about.

- the new family that OUT of NOWHERE wanted her. Sure, they're the protagonists of one of her books, but I'm not convinced how easily she had a family like that.

- on this line, if they cared so much about her and were the founders of the school... why not investigate what's happening? Their foster daughter is brutalized on her first day and it just goes by? I can't believe it. This same thing happens when Elijah learns she was basically r*ped and he does nothing. Nobody days anything and continue to allow her to go to school?????

- the hate she received from the guys made ABSOLUTELY no sense. Had they not done anything Rachelle wouldn't have paid them attention at all. She already wasn't even when everything started going on? And Ciaran's jealousy was poorly justified, when he went to tell her what he was going through??? I don't care, and neither should she.

- they were obsessed with her also our of nowhere, you're saying they dehumanized her, and suddenly they became obsessed... OK, I know it's what happens in bully romance, I just felt it wasn't justified?

- oh, and her decision to not take the pill, not be able to communicate she wasn't on birth control or not call the hospital... I mean... how stupid can u really be??? At some point tell someone else or do something to not get pregnant at that age, pls.

Otherwise I will be reading book 2.

As ever, Jenn has taken us on one hell of a traumatic ride! This is gripping, gritty and dark in the most visceral of ways. Noor’s entire existence has been plagued by uncertainty and pain. Chronic illness, medical gaslighting, and brutal cruelty have been the foundation of her life; and, it is equal parts difficult and beautiful watching her navigate such unpredictability.

I loved the vulnerability Jenn put into intricacies and struggles that a POTS and migraine disorder sufferer must endure. As a spooning myself, so much of my daily unpredictability and limitations echoed my own experience and I am always so grateful to see such representation portrayed with nuance and sensitivity.

There is a great deal of beauty in the darkness that weaves throughout this book. However, it will be a difficult and taxing experience so please enter with care. (Always check content warnings where Jenn is concerned! haha). I am so glad we will not have long to wait for the continuation of Noor’s story, as this ending was quite explosive!

This is the first in a new duet; but, I I feel you will get so much more understanding and impact if you have already read the Carlyle Kings Duet as there is crossover. If you love the devious workings of a deranged tiny pixie, then I urged you to check out Noor’s story on October 7th.

That Pucking New Girl is the first book in the Chesterfield Prep Devils series by Jenn Bullard.

💜 foster care
💜 past hurts
💜 trust issues
💜 found family
💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice

Noor has not had an easy life. When she was nine, everything came crashing down. The foster system was not kind to her and she has health issues. POTS is a terrible companion on a normal day, but add it with the stressors of school and foster families, it can be even more brutal. So, imagine her surprise when her case worker says that she has people interested in not only fostering her but potentially adopting her when she’s three months shy of turning eighteen. Should she risk it and check them out? If she does, will it lead to a better life? Or should she just stay where she is and get her GED?

This was a good start to a new series. It is a dark romance with dark and often hard themes, so buyer beware. The world building is done well as well as the character building. I love how the main character is also dealing with a chronic illness as that representation is not always present in main characters. This book pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down once I started to read. I can’t wait to dive into the next book.

Holy smokes… LET’S TALK ABOUT IT! Did you throw your Kindle at that ending too, or was that just me?! Because WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. PUCK.

This starts out feeling like your typical bully romance, but after reading Carlysle Prep by the same author, I knew we were about to be taken on one heck of a crazy ride…BOY, was I right! I was also THRILLED to see some returning characters make an appearance. Give me those little connections all day long!

Now, the guys… They are JERKS. Like, sir, who raised you?! I absolutely want to hate them, but somewhere along the way, they start worming their way into my heart, and I’m sitting here like, “Dang it… I think I like them.” The audacity!

And the FMC? I LOVE HER. This girl has had such a horrible start to life, and my heart broke for her. She deserves some happiness, and I am officially invested in making sure she gets it!

Definitely check those trigger warnings before diving in because this one gets dark, messy, and deliciously unhinged.

I’m hooked. I’m invested. I’m probably going to make questionable decisions regarding these men. Bring on book two!

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this one. This book was dark, heartbreaking, emotional, and completely addictive. Noor’s story absolutely broke my heart, and there were so many moments where I just wanted someone to protect her from everything she was being put through.
I really loved the found-family aspect of this book, especially seeing Noor slowly gain people in her corner. Her relationship with Emil was definitely one of my favorite parts. 🥹 I also loved getting to see familiar characters from the Carlysle Kings again. I love when an author creates a world where previous characters don’t just disappear after their book ends. Seeing them continue to grow and become part of Noor’s story made everything feel even more connected.
Alastair, Ciaran, and Draven… I have A LOT of feelings about these three, and I’m going to need book two before I decide exactly what those feelings are. 😂
Definitely check the trigger warnings before going into this one because it gets very dark and heavy, but if you like dark/bully romance, found family, complicated characters, and books that emotionally destroy you, this one delivers.

Book 1 of the Chesterfield Prep Devils Duet.

With all of Jenn’s books please read the trigger warnings.

Noor as a child didn’t have the best whilst growing up. She got placed in and out of foster homes after her dad treated her like dirt. She has a hidden chronic illness called POTS.

Noor meets Rachelle & Jared (from the Carlysle Kings Duet) and they foster Noor. Noor has the best time with Rachelle and her family and starts to feel safe.

Alastair needs an outlet for his aggression hence he’s on the Chesterfield Prep Devils hockey team. His stepsister Kelsie is cheerleader. His team mates are Draven & Ciaran.

Kelsie and her gang causes problems with Noor at school. Then the guys start bullying her. They convince the Principle to get Noor to become the team’s mascot. Things go from bad to worse for Noor.

With that cliffhanger of an ending I’m excited to see the what happens next. At least we don’t have long to wait.

DSM-6 Supplemental Third Quarter Update regarding Jennifer Talulah Bullard Victim’s Disorder ICD: F65.2

******BREAKING NEWS******

We have shocking news regarding the committee conducting research into the devastating disorder known as “Jenn Bullard Victim’s Disorder” (JBVD). The well established & exciting team of researchers has been DISBANDED.

While on a fact checking mission into the catastrophic symptoms the committee claimed to have uncovered during That Pucking New Girl, it was discovered that committee members were indeed outright drunk. It is an egregious affront to the psychology world to claim the symptoms that accompanied reading this work by a Tiny Migrainous Pixie, and upon further examination it was revealed committee members were indeed outright drunk, with possibly cross-fading unknown substances to cope with what the FMC was subjected to.

Until a new committee is formed to continue this vital research, please check those TWs and seek out your nearest JBVA chapter for support.

The bully dark romance that will have you giving the big side eye but also you can't look away because you want these characters to have some kind of redemption.

And they don't deserve it! But we can't wait to see a bully grovel right?

Noor is a deeply traumatized soul who has gone through tragic events on top of tragic events but then we see some old characters come through to give Noor the life she deserves (if you havent read The Carlysle Kings duet you absolutely should!) and want to set her up at what should be a great new school, only to find it ruled by the Chesterfield Prep Devils. And when these boys with deep dark hearts of their own set their sights on our FMC, its game on to them. They push her boundaries in crazy ways and while sometimes I thought "dang girl tap out already!" I also couldnt wait until she had the boys alone and seeking her attentions.

Noor keeps her head high through their reign of terror on her but she can't help their pull, until something it goes a bit to far.... 🤫

Book two here I go!

So cold it burns

This is a reversarium bully dark, very, very dark, buy one of my favorite authors in the world. Make sure you read the trigger warnings. Because she does like to pop those in there. But as usual, this author has completely drawn you in with a amazing story. And characters, and then you get a cliffhanger. What I mean, their boyfriends do have boyfriends, so plus on that side.

Starts off with noor who is in the foster system and has a debilitating chronic health problems, and several months before she's actually due to age out of being a foster. Somebody offers to adopt her. Now she's skeptical, because who wouldn't be until she meets them. And her world goes from narrow and unhelpful to the world is her oyster. Unfortunately, oysters end up with a little bit of grit before they become pearl, so she has to deal with the 3 devils of this prep school, Alastair, Draven, and Ciaran She's at and she doesn't back down. She lets them know that she's got a spine of steel and they try very hard because you can't help love to hate, them.

Noor is a Foster kid at an age where it is hard to find a
family to want you. She is 17 and not far from 18. So she is
about to age out. She suffers from a health issue that is
hard {POTS}.
Noor is a strong girl. She has been dealt a crapy life and
she is here still. I loved the plot, the bullying was actually
written pretty well. The MMC’s of this book are some of
her main bullys. I hated a few of the side charaters and
wanted to reach into the book and strangle them.

This book had me on the edge of my seat, grinding my
teeth, holding in screams, wanted to toss my kindle away.
I cried, cursed and even laughed reading this book.

If you have any triggers please be forwarned, this book
has a good amount of them.
Check you TW please.

Also..... it does hang on a cliff hanger, but we wont have to
wait long for book 2.

A SHOCK FOR THE DEVILS

This a second generation novel but don't feel like you need to read The Carlysle Kings Duet, I haven't and it didn't take away from this story. All it's done is make me want to go and read this duet (thanks Jenn for making my TBR grow even more)!!! That Pucking New Girl was everything I have come to love about author Jenn Bullard's writing, dark, dramatic, engaging and slightly deranged! The characters were something else. Noor's strength and determination were extraordinary to read and the love and support from her found family was heartwarming and gives you faith that there are good people in the world. Their past obviously impact how they embrace Noor. The devils were, well devils but pushed and influenced by outside pressures that I hope they overcome. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and despite the jaw dropping cliffhanger, a rapid release means I do not have to wait very long for a conclusion.

Noor has been a foster kid for eight years, going from home to home. She has medical needs that no one has wanted to care for. She then meets a most unusual family. She thinks her new start means her problems are over, but new ones are just beginning. This bully dark romance is full of action, morally gray boys/men, cute kiddos, and spice. Some may think Noor is a helpless female, but anyone dealing with chronic illness and dealing with all the things she has is incredibly strong. Things are getting super exciting when the book ends on a cliffhanger. Luckily, the second book will be out shortly. There is a long list of possible triggers. So check the warnings or read at your own risk. This is a spin-off series from another Bullard series, but can be read without knowledge of the original. I, however, am putting The Carlysle Kings duet on my TBR.

Another outstanding Jenn Bully book!

I received this book as an advance copy and these are my honest thoughts.

I have been sitting waiting for this book for a year, it lived up to every single hope I had for it. This is a second generation book following the Carlysle Kings Duet, it is not necessary to read the first book but it will definitely give you insight and a deeper understanding of Rachelle and her desire to care for Noor. Reminder (or warning if this is your first) this is a Jenn Bullard book, check your triggers, be prepared for a cliffhanger and maybe keep something soft to throw nearby instead of your reading material.

This book starts by tearing at your heart, Noor doesn't start with a comfortable home life and it doesn't exactly get better at first. She is wary to trust and would rather prepare for the worst than face disappointment following false hope. Then we have the Devils, 3 boys who have worked their way to the top of the food chain and who haven't yet learned that actions have consequences. This book will make you laugh, and have you ready to tear your hair out in the span of a few pages. The boys are rude, crude and impossibly immature but in that cocky way that makes you fall for the red flags. They will absolutely make you hate that your attracted to them so here's hoping they start redeeming themselves quickly. Noor is just a kid fed up with the hand life has dealt her, between her chronic illness and various mental health struggles you really just feel for her. She holds her own though, no matter what life throws her and no matter how truly close to breaking she gets she doesn't ever give up. And Jenn did a wonderful job showing Noor dealing with those struggles both physical and mental. This does end on a cliffhanger but remember book 2 (Her Pucking Devils) will be only a week away!

WOW this is amazing brutal. I went into this book not reading any blurb or tropes as Jenn can’t fail us in her characters. I was so wrong. If you have never read a book by Jenn you don’t know what you are missing.
This is a fast-paced story that I couldn’t soak up fast enough. It will take you on a plot-twisted journey. And that ending is brutal.

😈Dark bully contemporary
😈chronic illness rep
😈FMC about to age out of the system
😈Disability and heavy mental health rep
😈Found family
😈🩸play, pain kink
😈MMMF

😈Forced proximity

Deep breath, Noor. You just might get through this alive.

This is a second gen spin from The Carlysle Kings duet. Enter with caution, the twists will be even worse this duet!

Brutal. And I loved every page. If you are familiar with The Carlysle Kings books you know that what’s in store is going to hurt. And if you are not……do yourself a favor and start with that duet. Noor is no stranger to living through trial after trial. The agony she has endured and how she still manages to stand up for herself and survive is mind boggling. She finally lands with a family (iykyk) that take protecting their own to the extremes. Despite finally having support at her back, the Devils are determined to make her break. Jenn did an incredible job portraying what Noor’s daily life with chronic illness looks like. This is dark and heavy, please heed the warnings. Also, maybe find a soft pillow or six to land on when you’re done.

This is the first book in the Chesterfield Prep Devils Duet. Once I realized this was a Jenn Bullard book, I knew I had to read it! She is an amazing author and I am addicted to her books!
This book had me in tears. It was sad, haunting and traumatizing. And let’s not forget depraved, captivating and so very, very spicy! This story really hit hard and sometimes it hurt to read the story. But it was worth all the sadness and pain. I also loved seeing some familiar faces in this book! I love seeing how you connect the series so that no characters are left behind!!
Thank you, Jenn Bullard, for inviting me back into the Jenn-verse. This is one place I ever want to leave! We worship our Tiny Pixie in the Jenn-verse!!

This is a duet so there is a cliffhanger. And once again Jenn has blown my mind. Noor has had a hard life and can’t seem to catch a break. Medical issues, crappy doctors, alcoholic parents, bad foster families you name it. When she is almost 18 she is adopted by Rachelle and Jared Denton (Carlysle Kings) and becomes a part of their family. She had planned to get her GED but her newly adopted parents want her to go to Chesterfield Prep School; a school they founded. There she meets the Devils- Alastair, Draven and Ciaran. 3 hockey players that rule the school. Their latest mission is to make Noor’s life hell.
This was an amazing book. Pay attention to the trigger warnings, they are there for a reason. Can’t wait for the second book.

Dark Poly / WC Academy….Romance

4.5 ⭐️ Great read!!!

This is the first in a duet so make sure you know it’s end on a huge cliff…… but at least we don’t need to wait long for the finale.

I’m not saying much about this book because I don’t want to spoil anything….. but this FMC is put through it over and over.

Definitely check your TWs…… seriously

Noor is fostered by the Carlysle Kings before she can age out, she has many issues, most that are ignored or glossed over…..But this time being fostered is different and not just at ‘home’, Chesterfield Prep is a whole new ball game……she’s already had a traumatic enough past…. How much worse can it get?? 😳😳🫣

I loved seeing the Carlysle Kings and Emil again ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yes 6!

This book ripped every emotion from my body and its because I felt it with every fiber of my being because the female main characters illness sounds like what I go through every day. And feeling how someone else feels, makes me feel not so alone in the world.😭 The book itself is phenomenally written, the mmc's all swoon worthy in their own ways, but I still want to punch them in their pie holes a few times. 🙌🏻 Cliffhanger? Brutal to my heart 💔, thank goodness book 2 will hopefully be here soon. And while I could go on and on, my page is SPOILER FREE! Pick it up and enjoy the read, I know you'll agree with me. ❤️💯

no

I like dark romance. I like bully romance. What I don't like is a book that has this 'great' family accepting that their child is consistently being brutalized at a school that they own. I mean really. Please don't let there be real people this stupid in the world and the acceptance of rape and then the almost justification of it by describing her body responding was sickening. A victim's bodily response is physical and can not be controlled, it doesn't mean it was not rape. And in no way would I ever think that an HEA with the victim and the perpetrators is reasonable. Sorry, couldn't finish the book after it continued in the same vein.
