Offworld Meat Market #3

Owned by the Swarm

Rate this book
I killed their king. They bought me anyway.

Dragged off the auction block by six snarling Anzinians, I expected chains, pain, revenge. Instead they branded me, hauled me onto their ship, and locked me in with hundreds more. Four-foot green nightmares with too many teeth and hands that never stop touching.

I swore I’d escape.
Then one started patching the wounds I didn’t ask him to fix.
One refused to leave my bed when I slept.
One bit me hard enough to bruise… and I stopped pretending I hated it.

The Prince just watches with those amber eyes, like he already knows exactly how I’m going to break.

They don’t want punishment. They want me...every filthy, reluctant inch of me. And the worst part? I’m starting to want them back.

Monsters don’t return what’s theirs. Turns out, neither do I.

Owned by the Swarm is a scorching, MMMMM+ monster romance. One morally gray human. Hundreds of possessive goblin aliens. Zero chill. Part of the Offworld Meat Market series and can be read as a standalone.

I wasnt entirely sure how I would like this book but it turned out to be much better than i originally thought. The story was decent, the main character had a lot of flaws, the swarm taught him a lot. The spice was pretty fun too!

I can't believe i give this 3 stars :D but the smoll plot, that this one had, was surprisingly nice for what this books actually are.
The porn was, like always, mid tier bcs the writing style is just not hot enough *shrug*.

But seeing Cruz, whos a real fucking asshole, get what he deserved and then getting a happy ending with the swarm, willingly, was actually kinda nice, so yeah. :3

The main character was very hard to like in the beginning but he came around. The sex scenes were great.

⭐️⭐️ This is probably the weirdest book I have ever read. I honestly don’t even have proper words but I read it because you only live once and I was curious. Did that curiosity pay off? I honestly don’t know. I think I’m still processing because literally what the fuck😭😭

So much of a better story than expected

I loved the redemption arc: Topaz, the human MC, goes from utter POS to paying his dues and making restitution.
Note: This is book 3 in the series, but is a character not related to Cyrion or Milo from books 1 & 2.

( -----Spoilers----- )
Topaz participates in rough group sextivities with 6, 20, or even hundreds of goblins. While that type of spice isn't usually my thing, it was effective and there was lots of it. Some scenes remind me of the Goblins Cave (an adult animation by Sana, IYKYK 😉). I think what throws me is the forgiveness that the Prince & goblins show Topaz. It mystified me the same way it does when a victim of a horrible crime forgives the perpetrator. In this case, Topaz was successfully rehabilitated and gets a HEA. The punishment and rehabilitation shows a depth of hope and love that I hadn't realized before. I'm gonna have to rate this book highly despite the typos, which is usual with this author.

Different and good

A story about a bad man, forced to attone for a sin he didn't fully realize he'd committed. There are plot holes but who cares. Over the course of the story our bad MC learns to be part of a family and finds himself. A good choice if you like redemption stories that are more personal than offering justice. If you want bad people to suffer endlessly, this one isn't for you. Personally I would have liked more information about a number of things and another 10 pages would have done it, but I respect what the author chose to share and the rest wouldn't have added to the actual story being told. This was my first story by this author and I will be going back to read his other works.

MMMMMMMMMMx100

Trigger warning! This novella was wild. First of all, the aliens SA the human MMC. There is no skirting around that fact, although the author does not explicitly call it that. The MMC has simultaneous spicy time with hundreds of the aliens in each scene. Honestly, the description of fluids made me cringe. Second of all, they hive inhale in the ashes of the alien king the human MMC unalived by running one of his cons? Gross! I get the human MMC found “happiness” with the hive but it reads more like Stockholm syndrome than “found family.”

This series skirts the line between consent and SA, so if that’s a trigger, please beware.

This was completely unique and not at all what I was expecting? I have a high threshold of what I find weird and thought this might approach that. It did, but in a really good and surprising way. Even though it’s more like a novella, there’s a great cultural and world building foundation. I kinda wanted an extended epilogue! Great for those who are over the norm and want to try something flipped on its head where you really want the main character to get his comeuppance. Also, obsessed with the Tinkerer and the Feral one…

Insane, But Oh, So Worth It!

This story was one I had reservations about, being a swarm and all, but it's honestly been my favorite in the series so far.

The character development of the MC is so well done, and the spice was intense and weird and unexpectedly 🔥🔥🔥

Absolutely recommend if you can remain open-minded about the idea of being with a swarm of goblin-y creatures. 😅

Bizarrely adorable

Honestly, I loved this! It was a quick read but still had great world building and didn't feel rushed. I enjoyed getting to know the MC and seeing his growth and the Anz were unique and fun. The story was 🔥 🔥 🔥 but with an actual plot that I was invested in. I enjoyed it a lot and recommend if your looking for a quick captors to lovers type story!

I was so surprised!

I did not know how the author was going to make this one work. Even about halfway through the book I still wasn't sure if it would turn out alright for the main character, but I was pleasantly surprised! Morrigan Black is amazingly creative and a magician with storylines! I can't wait to read more!

lololol

Well that was wildly unhinged and awesome lol. I don’t know who I just read about though so I feel like I MISSED something but even without the connection it was a fun read.

Amazing

I think I love this one the most. It showed the most character development after hearing about him, in passing in the previous two books. This group really helped him grow into himself.

Begrudging two stars - not my bag, not my kink, but I could see this being right up the alley for someone who enjoys free use and polyamory. Just a bit faceless for my tastes.

Definitely AI-assisted, but somebody edited this one, at least.

Dark. Not the hilarious, off the chain craziness that I expected. Gang bang torture does not a romance make. wtf?
