Tenny Jackson is a distraction she does not need in her life, getting involved with him would not only tank her career, but probably also end in heartbreak. He's just trouble with a capital "T!"

Between the pages of this little literary gem you will meet two people who have a little history, the kind one of them isn't wanting to revisit it. Tenny loves getting under Alex's skin every chance he gets and he uses it as a chance to get her to talk to him off camera... even if it isn't always a nice exchange. Alex knows how Tenny operates, knows his reputation with the ladies, and she wants no part of that. Not to mention dating a player would tank her career and creditability. But then her grandmother shows up and suddenly she's forced into playing nice with the enemy... which leads her to think maybe her opinion about Tenny was all wrong?

This delightfully crafted story had me smiling, laughing and swooning the whole way through! This perfect pairing brought it all to the pages and made this escape one of my favorites so far this year! It was so much fun to disappear between the pages of this one! Highly recommend!!!

Alex and Tenny, what a beautiful story you have given me. I am all in with you both and I didn't want your story to end. A reporter who loves the sport and to do interviews but also remembers what it was like doing the sport she loved the most. A baseball player who was plaster as a player, but only really likes to play and make his family proud. When their worlds collide, it really gives them the adventure of a lifetime. This book was beautiful in every sense of the word, the characters, the story, the side characters, the place, the background, all of it was beautiful. I literally couldn't put it down because I needed to know what was coming next. This author has given us stories we can not only relate to but also be grateful we get to read them. Again, not sure how this will now live rent free in my head for a while. Plus, did you see this cover? In loveeee!

This is the perfect rom-com to pick up! I always enjoy when each chapter is written from a different characters point of view.

If you are anything like me, you won't want this book to end! It is filled with witty banter and flirty comments!

Tenny was so over the top and fun. I loved how he tried to do so much to make Alex feel cared about. His compassion and humility with those he came in contact with was commendable.

His sister, Zona, seemed like she was so much fun too. She always had her brothers back but wouldn't hesitate to keep him humble.

Alex continues to rise above the challenges in life. I enjoyed how she worked so hard to redesign herself

A chance meeting five years ago still makes Waves' first baseman Tenny long for more. It is a season of hope as he reconnects with her at Spring training. (Alex is the reporter for the team this year, putting them in close proximity.)
What follows is a fun development of friendship and more as they navigate work, family, friends, and teammates. Great characters, lots of baseball, and time spent getting to know each other and themselves. A delightful story that kept me engaged until the end of the bonus book. More, please!

this has been such a cute series! there is one before this one that is also part of a multi author series but does not have to be read prior to this.
I loved the banter between Alex and Tenny! their chemistry was sooo good and I camt wait for the next in the series. i hope Tenny's sister is the FMC for it! and I have a player in mind I hope is the MMC!

This one had me from the start! So many fun tropes, I love fake dating! Lots of baseball, surfing, banter between Tenny and Alex, and so many other fun characters! Throw in a touch of drama, a forbidden workplace romance, a bit of anxiety, and a hysterical group chat, and you’ve got a sweet baseball romance! Tenny is the boyfriend everyone wants, so sweet and attentive! I loved this so much, I didn’t want to put it down!

I loved everything about this story—the characters and their quirks, their families, and the dialogue and the plot!

The plot was fun. It was easy to follow, but full of surprises. I loved that they each found their person, though it took them a while to both figure that out.

Oh my, Tenny is adorable! His golden retriever energy is the most I have seen in any book. He just oozes joy and love. In real life, he should play for the Savannah Bananas, where is exuberance would be celebrated. This whole book was fantastic and I loved everything about it, including Alex’s sparkly shoes that she wears with her professional clothing. Can’t wait for the next book!
