Following her escapades in Fly By Midnight, Honora Mayhem once again finds herself riding the magical Silver Train to Rawlands, this time for a weekend visit with the handsome magical tracker Ren. But when Ren fails to show up for their rendezvous at The Wolf’s Den Tavern, Honora, always the investigator, goes searching for him and is pulled into a dangerous adventure where elemental magic rules. She will need all her Mayhem talents—and some help from tavern owner Roslyn Van Harbor and an eccentric gang of magical ax-wielding earth wizards—if she’s going to rescue Ren and set things right in the fabled North Woods.

The Ice Witch is a stand-alone, short story that fits perfectly between the second Mayhem Sisters Novel, Fly By Midnight, and Midsummer Night’s Mayhem, the third in the series.

A quick short story about a witch named Honora going and saving her wizard boyfriend Ren. It had a lot of detail in such a few short pages I loved it. Would recommend this.

now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.

The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.

i would highly recommend this author and this book.

"The Ice Witch" is a short story found in the witchy world of Everland. Lauren Quick presents her readers with a novella featuring Honora Mayhem, and her adventures up into the North Woods where her boyfriend lives. Long distance relationships can be a bit trying. Honora may be able to fly, but it doesn't make things all that much more easy. Determined to spend the weekend with her new boyfriend, Ren, she finds his cabin turned upside down, and his familiar in need of medical assistance. With the help of some of her new friends, Honora does everything in her power to save Ren from a mistake from his past.
Overall, this was a great addition to the series. I enjoyed seeing how Honora and Ren's relationship has developed. It was packed with plenty of action, a little mystery and a bit of romance.

This is a short story and should be read only after reading the first two books in the series. If you have enjoyed this series as much as I have then it will be a good hold over story while waiting for the next book. Lauren Quick has filled a notch that includes author N. E. Conneely in creating fun fantasy books in a modern setting. The reading is light but fun.

A fast and fun read about a group of sisters who also just so happen to be witches. The stories are fast paced but well written; I read the entire series in just a few days because I just couldn't get enough.
