This was a cute novella. I feel like the author did a good job with pacing. With many romantic novellas, the characters go from first meeting to in love with no time to build the relationship (I read one recently where their first kiss was less than 24 hours after they met). With this one, Julie and Oscar took the time to get to know each other. They spent time together over several days before things moved beyond a good friendship. Their first kiss is close to the end of the book. Even though time-wise it was still a quick relationship, it felt believable.

There were two main reasons why this wasn't a 5-star book for me. First, I really didn't like Julie's sister, Ann. I can't decide if she was supposed to be sympathetic or just meddling. She gives conflicting and confusing advice within a short period. Second, there were several places where I felt like the author told us what had happened more than showing what had happened. This didn't move the book from a 5-star to a 4-star story, but I also would have appreciated a short epilogue.

Four stars is really great when it comes to a novella. I very rarely give a novella 5 stars. I feel like a novella is generally a novel that hasn't reached its potential. With is one, I do feel like it's so close to being a 5-star story.

It took me about a week to finish this book because I struggled to fully get into it. The progression at the beginning felt so immediate that it came across as unrealistic, making it difficult for me to become invested in the story and its characters.

Ironically, I found the secondary characters to be more consistent and believable than the two main characters. I also felt that the story often explained things before I had the chance to draw my own conclusions. Because of that, a lot of the suspense and anticipation for what would happen next was lost.

That said, I genuinely think the core concept of this story is fantastic. There's a strong foundation here with a lot of potential—it just needs more refinement in the pacing, character development, and trust in the reader to piece things together naturally.

This is a Christian Romance novella. All of the characters seemed to be quite sweet but were not very well developed. Feelings between the two main characters went from annoyance to love within a very short amount of time. That being said, I found all of the characters to be quite sweet, especially the two children.

I enjoyed this story. It is well written and is a sweet love story, unexpected by both the main characters. There is a bit of faith and prayers in it. Another theme is caring for animals, which they have in common. There is also humor in the book, which makes it fun.

Absolutely loved this sweet quirky romance. From Julie and Oscar’s (Rude Man) unconventional meeting to the rescue’s they went on and the Danish Hot Dogs it was well worth reading. Also loved Julie’s niece and nephew. The main characters had chemistry off the charts, you just can’t help but root for them. If you are looking for a delightful book, this is it!!

This was a slow-moving story. There's great dialogue and descriptions of the local tourist spots and the food. The overall feeling is hopeful and peaceful.

Julie is anxious, accident-prone, and quirky. Julie prays but is unsure if God even hears her prayers. But her mom prays and gives Julie the courage to open her heart to love.

A sweet Christian romance. Fearful flyer flies to Denmark to visit her sister and family. She ends up with two eligible suitors. Arizona versus Denmark seems to be quite a long distance for a romance. Fun touring Denmark with the various characters and situations. Delightful story. Thanks to BookSirens for providing a copy. I an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. After a failed relationship Julie Ford visits her sister in Denmark Where she meets her brother in law’s boss Oscar Jessen, a confirmed bachelor. A heartwarming book about relationships, family and decisions for the future. I recommend reading this book.

This is a sweet Christian romance. It is a very light, easy read. The prayer sprinkled through the story is a highlight. I would feel safe sharing this with younger readers as well.
