Dirty: A Set Up MC Romance

Rate this book
Dirty
Over the years, my sole focus has been my club, my job, and my son,
No one else mattered to me,
And I certainly didn’t want an old lady,
I didn’t want to settle down,
I tried that route before when I was young and refused to try it again.
I thought I was in love, thought I was going to claim her,
But I was naive, and after I found her with someone else,
I realized it wasn’t love, it was lust, especially after she tried to trap me.
From that day on, I knew having a woman wasn’t in the cards for me,
Messing around and being a good father and brother are my sole focus.
Until I was forced to meet her,
My son's teacher.
I was instantly entranced, and I wanted her,
I felt things I had never felt before, which shocked me,
But I learnt over the years, when a brother falls,
To grab hold of that person and never let them go,
And hope to hell that I don’t mess up as my brothers had with their women….
Famous last words, though.

Holly
Being a single, working mother, I’ve grown used to fending for myself,
With no family behind me, no friends,
My sole focus has been my daughter,
And despite how she came about, she’s my world,
And nothing else and no one else mattered to me, other than her and my career,
Until I met him.
He was a student's father and completely out of my league,
But I still wanted him, and that scared me.
I tried to run from my feelings,
Refusing to give in, but what the heart wants, the heart gets,
And deep down I knew I couldn’t live without him.
But that didn’t matter to outside forces,
There was others who wanted him, too,
And I became their enemy.
They went after my passion, my child,
Everything I valued—my life—became their target.
I just don’t know if being with him is worth it all,
Worth all the heartache and the pain,
I just don’t know if I’m strong enough to fight for him like he wants,
Especially with so much stacked against us,
But as everything unfolds, I guess I should have realized he’ll never give up….

This can be read as a standalone. It is book 6 of 7 of The Rebels MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended for readers aged 18+; this novel may contain triggers.

Ok plot, really immature in places

I’m sorry but the pranks are old. And, dangerous now. You cannot put fair removal cream in lube. You are risking someone’s health. I was tired of the pranks after two books. These are supposed to be adults. I mean really… and every woman in every book stutters. Just kind of becoming the same thing

This was awful

I don’t post a lot of reviews and rarely ever when I don’t have something good to say, but I need to say something this time. This book was one of the worst I’ve ever read. The story/plot could have been good, but it was completely overshadowed by the horrific spelling, grammar and ridiculous sentence structure. I solidly read through about 40% before I gave up and started skimming, because I literally couldn’t believe how bad this was. An example: “He didn’t surfer in my eyes which probably makes me evil….” Another one: “….we do these runs, and every time we earn $h!tloads of doe for the charities….” This author has put out enough books that proofreading should be a standard process, but if she can’t be bothered to do at least that much then I can’t be bothered to read anything else she writes.

Holly and Dirty

I loved the two of them together. Holly goes through so much in the book. Lyra and Caleb are sweet kids., and Caleb knew from the start that his Dad and Holly would be perfect together.

Dirty was young and thought he was in love when he got the girl of his dreams pregnant. It didn't take long to realize he had been played by her, he loves his son but the lesson he learned in turn has kept him away from women expecting more than a few hours with him. His son though is determined for him to meet his best friend's mom and Dirty has refused every request until he accidentally meets her and knows she is his game changer. Now he wants to have it all but his past has come back and is causing issues, can he keep his newly found family protected while the threat is at large?

Such a good one, this series keeps getting better and better with each book. Definitely reread worthy.

1.5 stars rounded up to 2, only because it kept my attention
Other than the fact that the unnecessary opening scene of the H with the ow is more descriptive than his scenes with the h, this was just not good. So many time skips, and then once the h and H do get together, they’re then apart for like 30% of the book. There were a lot of editing issues too. It was just not good 🤷‍♀️

THIS IS BOOK SIX IN THE SERIES AND CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE. HOWEVER, FOR A BETTER READER EXPERIENCE I SUGGEST YOU READ THE BOOKS IN ORDER.

Quote:
"Hey darling," he whispers, and I sniffle. "I don't like being away from you for long."

Summary:
FMC is a single parent and a teacher with a past. MMC is a single parent and mc member with a past. Neither is looking for love, but upon seeing each other, they know its love. But things in the past don't always stay in the past. HEA.

Review:
So let me put up a disclaimer....I have read a lot of this author's books. I love her mc series. I have a few of her other series on my tbr. In my opinion, you either love her writing style or don't. Before this book, I would have said my favorite story by her was TATS. Now I am not so sure. I think TATAS and this book are my favs.

I loved this book. It's been some time since I gave a five-star, but this book helped me out of an mc reading slump. It didn't have cheating, but there was ow drama. It is very much about family and I loved it. This couple communicated. This couple have learned to put their own from their pasts and the past of others. At its core, it is a beautifully written love story.

The kids' week was the best part of this story.
Holly and Dirty have their HAE. Of course, Holly has lots of over-the-top drama surrounding her, but it's that storyline that has me devouring this series.

we're all aware that this author is good for a laugh because her stories are so wildly unbelievable, but this one is really the shit! so many insane people, so little time-the FL was beyond idiotic - all the way to brain dead when it came to any common sense about her past. And so it goes that the rest of the story was the same repetitive bullshit, with a smirking ML & his past loco OWs & a FL who knows how to swing a pole… this author has a thing for poles! i'm sorry, I'm laughing as I'm writing this; the only thing I want to add is please don't pay for this shit sandwich!

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
Couple: Dirty & Holly
❋❋❋❋❋❋
This one was actually kind of cute and tame, which doesn't really seem like words you'd use to describe this authors books but here we are. It was a little nauseating with All the woman wanting him, but Holly was smart and a sweetheart and was able to get past it. Of course we got the over the top soap opera drama which is what keeps me coming back. I really liked these two together and the kids were awesome. Looking forward to the last installment.

Not the usual mc romance where the hero is a manwhore and cheats on the heroine.
This one deals with two people who both have been betrayed by their previous partners.
The heroine was cheated on by her first boyfriend who btw high on drugs drove his car on a tree trying to kill the, both, managing only to kill himself, and left her pregnant.
The hero was also cheated on by his first gf and left with a son because his gf is a junkie hoe.
They meet when their child are in the same class, she’s the teacher.
So, the hero immediately realizes she’s the one, and from that moment on he’s a cutie, even loving her daughter and calling her his.
And no, he never messes up.
The heroine has to deal with her exs mother and sister that causes drama, and the hero is drugged and almost raped by his crazy ex, but the heroine saves him in time.
They both love each other and there’s a very cute happy ending.
This one was kind of pleasant because there’s not very much violence and abuse as usually in this authors books. There’s a kidnapping and an almost rape but beside this, and the heroines first boyfriend madness, it’s almost peaceful.
Both kids are lovely and both hero and heroine are decent people.
No cheating and the hero, who, btw, did not have complete sex with other women after his first love debacle, was never with anyone else after meeting the heroine.
So to me it’s totally ok and safe. Good heroine who went through a lot but made a good life for herself and her kid.

MC = it's there

OW drama = OW want the H, he doesn't want them, OW1 (CW and baby mama) causes drama with H and h as much as she can; comeuppance? h takes her out permanently when OW1 tries to SA/R the H. OW2 was teacher at same school as the h, wanted the H, tried to get the h fired, assisted in the kidnapping of h's child; comeuppance? unclear on the particulars, but she got "got" by the MC. OW3 was crazy mom of h's ex (who tried to kill the h but only succeeded in killing himself), made treats to h, kidnapped the child of h, shot the h; comeuppance? in a mental hospital. OW4 was daughter of mom of h's ex, made calls threatening the h, assisted in the kidnapping of the child; comeuppance? in prison. There were a few other minor OWs as well, but you get the gist.

SA/R = see above. OW1 had drugged the H and was trying to SA/R him when h walked in.

At no time did the H ever cheat or consider cheating on the h. He was all in once he saw the h as his "one" which was the first time he saw her.

Absolutely loved it

I was so excited when Dirty released, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely love Alex 'Dirty' & Holly. Little Caleb and Lyra was just icing on the cake. If you read any of Charlotte's other MC romance books and think you know how this will be, then your wrong. Let's just say Dirty is nothing like the other MC brothers. He is in a league of his own. I 💯 love him. Dirty is my favorite MMC that Charlotte has written so far. Holly is a breath of fresh air and my favorite FMC of the series.
Caleb and Lyra such amazing kids and you can tell they are being raised right. Ice, Dirty's dad is my favorite side character. I won't get give any spoilers away. If you are a fan of Charlotte's book, then please read this one. You will not be disappointed.

Fighting Love

Charlotte has done it again. This motorcycle club has had some dumb brothers and in his own way Dirty pushed back but when he feel there was nothing and Noone that was going to keep his woman from him. Holly is dealing with more damage then one person should have in her short life and she is an amazing mother and teacher. Loved the way he went for what he wanted and fought to stand beside her. Kids always make the story better when they are sweet and fun and these kids along with the side characters are everything. Crazy patches chasers, a parent that has snapped and can not accept the truth. The depth of this story is amazing. Can not wait for the next book.

Solid 4.5 🌟 🤩

I absolutely 💯 loved Dirty. Oh my goodness... he is one of my favorite MMC from all the different books. He is absolutely wonderful and written where you can't help but fall in love with him.

The reason for only 4.5 🌟 is because Holly and her breathers got on my last nerve. Just talk to the man already. He loves you to pieces, rely on him. You see we could of had the drama with Holly absolutely trusting him and allowing him to be her protector... because he was, without a doubt a protector, but nooooooo... Holly needed a breather all the time. I wanted to smack her upside the head. The man was next level wonderful. Don't get me wrong, she was great too, but those breathers were just too much. On to the next one, yay!

Okay this one was kinda cute. I liked that the MMC had only been with one woman before the FMC and had been celibate for eight years. The kids were adorable.

No it wasn’t edited or proofread but I’m not surprised at this point. More copy and paste sex scenes from other books but at least the plot seemed refreshing and something different for a change. The fmc still did the dumbest shit though because I don’t think this author knows how to NOT have a TSTL fmc.

I feel like I need to make it a public announcement in these reviews that I don’t give a star rating for this author because I go into these books knowing damn well I’m going to be irritated and there’s going to be fifty errors, minimum.

A good story to read, definitely not as dark as the previous one.
It’s a single dad ça single mum story. He is from an MC and has mummy + trust issues as he was baby trapped by his ex. She has a lot of trust issues and abandonment issues.
The story makes me think a lot of Breaker’s and that is annoying as it feels like a recycled story.
However, it is not all similar.
I’m not sure I understand her wanting a breather all the time! It was repetitive and annoying! She wanted to rub from her issues most of the time, she seemed quite immature on some level.
But good story to read, a lot of drama but to be expected from this author.
Now I want to know what is happening to Ace!!

This series just keeps getting better and better

Book six in this series, and this one just might be my all time favorite. Well I say that about each new book I read in this series, but this one really is my favorite.
I mean how can you not love the book when two seven year old kids are playing match maker for their parents. To cute.
And then there is Dirty, well his name says it all. Except we come to see a side of him that even he doesn’t know he has. The side where he falls hard and fast for his son’s teacher, and he won’t take anything less than her falling for him and making her and her daughter his forever.

Finally!

Loved this! They finally have someone who does pranks! Plus, it was nice that it didn't follow the usual. Boy finds his "one" & everything is great, then boy messes up & has to then fight to get "the one" back. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just nice to have a little change up. Wished there had been more on what changed her parents mind, but at least they did. If you liked the others, you'll like this one. I'd definitely recommend. Some triggers, but not really anything major. Ready for Ace!

loved

I loved this book. I really liked Holly. She was perfect for Dirty. Exactly what he needed. They were just perfect for each other. Loved the kids. Caleb is a matchmaker!! lol. My heart broke for what they both went thru. Holly and Dirty. Holly more after what she went thru and then losing your family like that. But she was still sweet loving so patient I loved her!!!! Umm get we get Ace’s book??!

another great read

Another great read. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. You get a little be of knowledge on how the previous brothers and old lady’s are doing as well as an idea of what’s to come with Ace. Tank and Anchor are still my favourites at #1 but Dirty might be number 3 with Trigger being #2 and the others following after. Can’t wait for book 7

Some books jump the shark with ex drama, however, this author manages to make it work. Love the characters and never get tired of a hot protective alpha biker 😂

Cute. I liked how Dirty was trying to secretly move Holly in without her knowing but again wanted to bang my head against a wall because of no/little communication. Everytime Holly wanted a breather, girl go talk to your man.

A fairly sweet one

Compared to some of the others in this series this one was almost light hearted. Don't get me wrong there is still drama and danger but nothing like the last few ones.
