This book is the fabulous conclusion to the best selling Wolfpack Trilogy. If you have been following from Book One, you already know what to expect!
Aisha has gone through hell to get to the shifters. She's been abused and humiliated by the entire town of Dead Wolf. But everything is about to change. Logan returns and takes vengeance on the men who harmed her in the past. He and his brothers make sure that Aisha knows she is loved and cherished in her new life, and she learns that all four of them want to have pups with her. She also finds out about an ancient prophecy that explains her origins, and why she was abandoned by her mother as a baby.
This is the climax of the entire trilogy. Don't miss it!
Hi, my name is Abby. I hope you enjoy my exciting new romance and erotica stories.
I love stories about strong, female protagonists that give you a good character arc and background to the action as well as providing the steamy details of what they get up to. I am particularly attracted to themes like wife-swapping, voyeurism, exhibitionism, and public and group encounters.
I am thirty-years-old and live in the beautiful forests of rural Ontario, Canada, with my two dogs.
I hope you enjoy my stories. You are always welcome to contact me at: abby@type-writer.net
I want to begin by saying that I LOVE the subject of this trilogy! I think it has a fabulous and well thought out back story. One of the best I have seen this year. While I was interested enough in the overall storyline enough to keep reading till the end I had nothing but problems with this one. With the first book I thought she is setting us up for a very interesting story with a female lead who goes from mouse to badass but that never really truly happened and while I love the idea of the brothers there was not near enough time spent on them. The flow of the story seemed very broken. I felt that we didn't get to really see Aisha bond with the brothers. The story changed directions too abruptly.
Some of the sexual stuff seemed more just plain weird than sexy. Every time something was mentioned about the brothers locking in place inside of Aisha I picture chihuahuas. I also found myself wandering how in the world they are not permanently dehydrated from the outrageous amount of fluids they lose during sex. At one point it says that their cocks poured LITERALLY gallons of sperm into her. Another problem I had with the sexy scenes is that they seemed very repetitive. The same words and descriptions were used over and over.
My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review
The cover is very steamy and in red :) I like it :)
Okay this is the 3rd book of the trilogy and my favorite of the three :) This is for ADULTS only. Lots of steamy scenes and some involving multiple partners…..some things I never thought I would read.
I love the writing style and the creativity to come up with this world. It definitely made it easy to connect with all the characters, and I did have some tears involved while reading due to that connection with Aisha.
You learn so much about the past in this book, and it makes everything make more sense….though I still am weirded out by the prophesy with regard to her pups, but you have to read it to see what I mean. I changed my opinion of Logan and now I’m torn between who I like more Packer or Logan :) I’m definitely sad this is the last book but maybe there will be another series in this world Abby created :)
I recommend this series to those who already love Abby’s writings and to those shifter fans who don’t mind multiple partner reads.
Loved by the Pack is the conclusion to the trilogy and probably the best one of the three. It starts right where the previous book ended, with Aisha beginning a new life with the four shifter brothers – Logan, Packer, Hardy and Tucker. She bonded with three of the brothers in the previous book, and was left wondering how she was going to keep them happy.
In this book, we see how she forms an emotional bond with them and eventually becomes their mate. We finally get some actual romance and her dealings with humans are less and less frequent, until she practically has no contact with them. Her interactions with the brothers are sweet and loving, even though Logan, the alpha, was harder to win over, or so she thought. Her insecurities slowly disappear as she spends time with them and eventually has sex with all of them.
In some parts of the book I really liked Aisha and in others I was confused by her actions.
The shifter prophecy is explained at the end, and we find out about Aisha’s past and how she became the last handmaiden. She’s more important than she thought she was because she’s the key to their survival. I liked how it ended; I loved Logan and his actions at the end. All of the brothers were special in their own way but Logan was somehow unique. And I loved Aisha’s friendship with Ma Hetty, the old shifter seer that constantly helps them out.
Overall I enjoyed the trilogy and was happy with the way it ended. I still wish the three books would’ve been packed into one book rather than three. I’m also glad that the bad guys got what they deserved, and that Aisha, her mates, and their offspring would eventually live in peace.
This whole series has been a wild ride and this book didn't fail to grab me and hold me to the very last page. Packer and Logan are so stubborn but at the same time really in touch with their emotions that they don't even realize they have and have so much trouble controlling them. Aisha finally gets her chance to be the strong woman that Ma Hetty knows she can be as she faces some very hard decisions. Ma Hetty the ever vigilante mother/grandmother helps the 4 brothers and Aisha come together and face what is right in front of them throughout this whole series. Abby Weeks did an excellent job pulling me into this story and making it feel like I was right there observing everything.
This was one HOT conclusion the the Wolfpack Trilogy, and definitely the best of the three. In the last installment Aisha had bonded but not mated with three of the four remaining shifters. As the soul remaining handmaiden, she was the only hope for their future and for their present. However, it is not until this final installment do we truly find out about Aisha's heritage and the prophecy surrounding Aisha. I have to say that while I really enjoyed the scenes between Aisha and her new mates, I think that the part concerning the prophecy tied everything together perfectly. Even more so when we found out what Logan was really doing for his new mate.
Figuring it all out This is an awesome end to the series. Aisha is trying to figure out why Logan ran off and she seeks out Packers to make things right with him. The two younger brothers fall right into place. Ma Hetty knows more then she lets on, but you’ll find that out in the end of the book. But without Logan there seems to be something missing. And then there is the end that justifies all that Aisha has gone through. Well written and very riveting and entertaining to read.
Loved by the Pack (The Wolfpack Trilogy #3) by Abby Weeks
4 Stars
With Aisha bonded to three of the four brothers, her concern still lies with Logan the oldest of the pack who has been missing and out of contact since the bonding ceremony. Things seem to be going well and according to plan with Hardy and Tucker, though her feelings for Packer are deeper and she only hopes that doesn’t interfere with the way things have to be.
When Logan comes back into range it is clear that all is not well, he is in pain and caged. The humans had found him in a nearby town seducing their women so are bringing him back to make an example of him. With the help Ma Hetty the pack forge a plan to rescue him, but not in time to save him from a vicious beating and whipping.
The Wolfpack trilogy is very different to any shifter story I have read before. The animalistic side to them is explored and even though they are a race with heart and a human side, Abby Weeks has created a world that allows the beast inside them be true to nature. The shifters have one thing on their mind, to procreate and keep their species going and though they love Aisha and will die to protect her, they all want to mate with her and that happens, often.
This is an erotic romance, though a lot of the sex throughout the series is not romantic, it is violent and often without consent. I think this would have been good as one book rather than three fairly short stories, it would have saved the frustrating cliffhangers, and the beginning (Book one), which was setting the scene, could have been shortened.
I really enjoyed this series, the second and third instalments made up for the slow starter, it is not a read for those easily offended by strong language or violent sexual content or anyone under 18 years old, anyone else give it a go!
After living through hell, Aisha tries to adjust to her new life with the pack, but first Logan has some things to do and Aisha learns about a prophecy and what it means to her in this thrilling conclusion to the Wolfpack Trilogy.
First, I want to warn you to be prepared for some gut wrenching emotions to surface during this story (not much different from the first two there) but in this case it's a little more up and down as Aisha finally gets to experience some happiness and the reader can't help but get taken in by the turmoil as well as the passion of this romance. These strong compelling characters captured the heart in the beginning and continue to do so throughout all three books while the burning desires continue to flow with vibrant intensity in some scorching hot sex scenes including m/f, m/f/m, and m/f/m/m scenes.
The steady to fast paced plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance and the well written scenes and details paint vivid images that capture the imagination and the well planned suspense draws readers in and refuses to let go. Expectation and tension build throughout the story not only from the progression of Aisha and the four brothers relationship but also from the danger that the humans still represent. The reader also gets to learn right along side Aisha, the history of the pack, how Aisha became a lost orphan and about a prophecy that meant hope for the survival of the shifter race which adds lots of depth to the story.
I was completely caught up in the story from the very beginning and there was no way I could put the story down once I started reading it and I have to say that the conclusion was the right ending. The trilogy as a whole is a really moving story that started in darkness and ends in the light and these characters really deserve their happily ever after.
I received an ARC of Loved by the Pack. I have loved this series from beginning till the end. It is very sad to see the last book for the Trilogy. Each book just leaves you wanting more.
Aisha who has been thru hell and back has bonded to all shifter brothers but Logan. She feels broken hearted that Logan has rejected her. Will Logan turn to another? Will he end up bonding with Aisha?
Logan who is a very passionate Alpha comes back with vengeance. He wants vengeance for what Aisha has went thru, but in the process ends up captured. The village idiots want to kill Logan and make an example out of him. Will Logan be able to get the vengeance he so seeks. Will the village idiots end up killing Logan leaving Aisha and the other 3 brothers heartbroken?
While reading the series you will fall in love with all 4 shifters: Logan, Packer, Tucker, and Hardy. Though I loved Logan’s passion, Tucker and Hardy’s easy going attitude, Packer was my favorite. All 3 brothers and hopefully Logan as well long to mate and have pups with Aisha. Will that happen and if so who will be the one of the 4 brothers to do so?
I think Abby Weeks has done an amazing job writing this series. I find it funny that the one thing I look for when reading a romance werewolf shifter book Abby included. I have found it very rare for most authors to include the knot. Thank you Abby you have made me totally happy.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone that love shifter books. Awesome job Abby..
Once again Abby Weeks did not disappoint me. This story had a little bit of everything for me. It had a little bit of suspense, bit of romance, bit of mystery, and sex (which is my favorite).
The question in the foremost of my mind is, where can I get a deal like Aisha has where there are 4 men who barely know me (I could be crazy...lol) but love me, would lay down their lives for me, and worship every single part of me? Where can I sign up for that? Oh, right here...X__________________...thank you!!!
From the end of the last book I was wondering how she was going to keep her promise of satisfying 4 men. That's a daunting task for any woman to handle, but Aisha came through. I liked how the author showed her struggles on dealing with this. It's not easy to do knowing that every man is different. Luckily she had Ma Hetty to continue to assist her.
My main concern in this book was where is Logan??!!! When he just ran off in the last book it just broke me. I hated that he was missing most of the book. I wanted to know more about his character and dominance compared to Packer. I was ecstatic when he finally showed up, just not happy of the circumstance. When Logan was able to mate was Aisha he showed that the older men know how to do it right.
I loved this series!!!! I would recommend this to anyone. Miss Weeks will always have me as a fan.
I would have liked to have seen more growth with the main character (well all the characters for that matter) since this is the third book in the series. What do we really know about the brothers:
Logan - not much other than he's serious but emotional because he ran off Packer - the jealous gentleman (who also ran off) Hardy - the beautiful creative one Tucker - the mischievous baby that's not really a baby at all. Aisha - the tragic inner angst one (that thinks it's a great idea to take a nap out in the open in a spot where they literally just fought a pack of wolves like people aren't looking for them)
Halfway through and I'm struggling to finish, but I'm determined since this is the final one. The sexual deviants have gotten all the author's attention so I would've liked to have read more backstory about the brothers individually because 75% through the series all I know is that they like to hunt, roam, and mate. That's it.
This book was given to me by the author for a honest review
What a very nice and wonderful ending to a really amazing and sexy trilogy. Loved following Aisha through her journey from a confusing and abusive life to a new one with 4 sexy men or should I say wolf shifters. They had me from book 1 and the ending just gave me all kinds of feels especially as we find out more about Aishas parents and what brought her there. Chills, sadness, understanding and happiness. Loved this world and hated to leave it. Hope there are more in the future.
Wow that's all that I can say, I need more, being the third book if I say too much it can ruin for people that haven't read the first two books, so what I will say and like I did on the second book, Abby came into her self even more, the confidence is there and I am amazed that this world she made. I am so mad this one ended, I need a lot more and I hope there is more soon, this type of story is why I fell I love with shifters, not this book, but kinda the way the book portrays love, just amazing!!
I could not put this one down either..... Aisha finally found so much more than she thought was possible.... a true loving family and she was right in the middle of it all. (and I mean right in the middle) Now I just wanna read more of her journey with her pack!
I LOVED THIS BOOK AND THIS SERIES. I will be saving these to read again. I loved some characters and hated others, this book made feel strongly for all. I recommend this book and series very highly. THE ENDING IS SOOO AWESOME A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!
First off, I want to thank Abby Weeks for gifting me and ARC of this installment in exchange for an honest review!!
This is the third installment in Abby Weeks’ Wolfpack Trilogy and sweet mother of God it was good. There is a lot of um.. sex in this one. But Aisha is now bonded to brothers and with bonding comes some serious needful sex filler alpha’s that are more than ready to take her in any place, position and surrounding she is willing to let them have her in. And just dayum. I am not a fan of some of the sex there was in this one. But it was well written and just because I wouldn't do it doesn't mean someone else wouldn’t. (snickers)
Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with it just not something I would partake in so its out there for me but again, well written and hot as hell. (laughs) You will need a few breathers between a few of these chappies. I had to go read something else a few times. It was passion overload. Aisha is one lucky girl!! Anyhow.. onto my review…
***small spoiler alert***
Aisha is still dealing with the loss of having Logan and Packer having run off from the bonding ceremony. At least she had time to perform the handmaiden’s bond with Packer before he left but Logan… he had just turned and left. The lingering questions of why were filling her mind. Did he not want her? Was it something she had done? Or not done for that matter. It was an emotional time but both Hardy and Tuck, the first two, the youngest of the brothers were still by her side. They were understanding. Aisha was lost in her own mind until she came back from a walk in the forest and found them both waiting on her. It was time for her to show them exactly what it meant to form a bond with them. They would never rush her and Aisha knew it. Aisha allowed them to take her to her loft, despite her anxiety. She wasn’t ready but she was. They took it slow, both Hardy and Tucker working her body into a frenzy before they actually took her.
The mating was like nothing she had ever been through. The intense emotional bond it formed between her, Tucker and Hardy was hard to describe. She knew no matter what she would be protected and loved by them both. There was no jealousy, just an outpouring of love from them both. They were now fully hers and she was theirs. And to say she was well taken care of would be putting it lightly. It was something that Aisha would never forget or long for again. Now, her only thoughts were of Parker and Logan. What was with them. She could feel Packer and enough was enough. He had been running around the mountains, killing wolves and working out his aggression's and whatever other emotional overload he had but it was time that Aisha took matters into her own hands. She packed up a small bag and took off up the mountain. Keeping her mind closed to him so Packer wouldn’t know she was coming. When she got close to him she opened herself up and pushed out her senses.
That’s when she found Packer… and trouble. Seems she had shut down too many senses and had not noticed until now that she was being trailed by a pack of wolves. She reached out to Packer but the wolves moves closer. She was in trouble. Serious trouble so she reacted as a shifter female would. She used her internal senses and took off running. If she stayed ahead of them she would be fine. Packer would be to her soon and would save her. But, Aisha’s luck as it is isn’t that good. Thanks to loose footing when she jumps over a river bed Aisha slips and its enough of an edge that they are able to catch her. They show her what they want to do to her. Torture, rape, kill. (And we thought the humans were bad….) They are not a fan of hers. In the least. She means there will be more shifters, more enemies. She represents the future of power in the Valley.
But they are no match for a pissed off shifter Alpha. Packer gets to her just in time. Killing a few of the wolves before the others run off. Packer then takes Aisha to where he has been spending his nights. Builds a fire and then its time to talk. He ran off because at the ceremony she performed he was over run with emotions… but more than that he did not want to have to share her their first time together. He wanted that moment to be special. Something only they would be able to share. He has so many emotions running through him; there is a bond between Packer and Ashia, Its always been there. From the moment he saw her on that boat, the one that brought her back to Alaska. Aisha, truly deep down loves Packer, as he loves her. But those many feeling amplify as they mate. That forming bond makes them that much stronger. The most intense feelings she could have thought possible run through her and she knows with Packer, as with Hardy and Tucker that he would do anything to keep her safe. He was hers and she was his.
The bond that she shared with the brothers was more than a bond it was a lifeline. She was still feeling the loss of Logan, not knowing where he was or if he was okay was getting to her. Packer, Hardy and Tucker tried to calm her fears telling her that at times they all had to get away, even to journey out of range. He would be back. But the moment he was back in range Aisha felt his blinding pain. Then he was there, in her mind. In a truck, locked in a cage. Men were surrounding him as they drove him back up to the town where she had been brought. Aisha of course went into town (even when the others told her not to) and straight t Ma Hetty. Of course the seer had seen it all and they would have to wait until the right time to try and rescue him. And that is what they do but not before Logan is whipped. His injuries haven taken days to heal. And only added more questions for Aisha.
As Ma Hetty, Aisha and the boys took care of him back at the cabin Aisha’s worry and doubts started to grow more intense. She was worried he didn't want her. (Chick seriously worries way too damn much.. LOL) So when she was able to corner him (so to speak) she asks why he really went to Fairbanks. As they talk it all starts to fall in place. She knows why he had gone off and done what he had. Being the Prime Alpha of the Valley he had to do things to prove himself worthy of her. Manly enough I guess you could say. Men and their damn egos.. sheesh. Then Logan asked Aisha to mate with him. To show her he really did want her. She agreed and then… what was she to do? Again, heffa worries way too much. A few days after their talk Logan takes her on a little trip and if the information overload wasn’t enough for her to take in they mate. She performs the Handmaiden’s ceremony and… to say her world is rocked is putting it lightly. She saw stars in the daylight. Being that much Alpha… he all but fried her circuits. And she loved it.
A bond that is forged in that much love to be shared between the five of them is nothing less than a miracle. Its the start of a new life, a new way of thinking and for Aisha, Logan, Packer, Hardy and Tucker it’s a new way of life. From here on out they are as thick as thieves. And all the better for it.
This is my first review on Goodreads. Normally I don't write reviews, but I also never mark books as only two stars, and wanted to explain why. This review covers the entire trilogy.
I didn't mark the book as only two stars because of the author's writing or style. Both were fine. I'd read her again. It was mostly the subject matter that I personally didn't enjoy.
TRIGGER WARNING!!! The very first book was all about rape. And not in a sexy, fantasy-rape scenario way, but in a brutal way. It's not something I enjoy in any kind of romance novel, whatever type it might be. I totally get what the author was going for, it explained the main female character's backstory, but it's just something that made the first book a personal no-go for me.
The second thing was the main female character. I could not stand her, at all. Something about her just totally hit me the wrong way, and that usually doesn't happen with me. She seemed extremely immature, and was a COMPLETE door mat. It wasn't that she was a classic BDSM-style submissive. Because she was not, at all. Maybe if the character was supposed to be in her teens, like 14 or 15 I would have understood slightly more, but she wasn't that young. And she kept it up through the first two books.
Luckily, I did mostly enjoy the third book, and I liked the ending of the third book. If you don't mind lots of rape, there's really nothing wrong with the series. Just not my thing.
I in no way mean ANY disrespect to the author, at all! Not her fault the rape subject bothered me!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
For me the best book of this trilogy. I liked the brothers and the growing realationship between them and Aisha. And the best of it all? There are some people who get what they deserve!
*** I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review ***
Warning - this series is for 18+ and over who are not offended by women being treated badly.
I really loved some aspects of this conclusion - but others down right annoyed me to be honest, so I will start off about what I loved then say what was the let down for me. - this will be a bit difficult without giving spoilers so sorry for being vague!
This is a fast paced series and each book continues where the other left off Aisha is settling into pack life with Logan, Packer, Hardy and Tucker. We were left wondering what happened at the end of book 3 for a while in the book, but Hardy and Tucker sure know how to make Aisha feel loved!!!! BOY THAT WAS HAWT!!! - PS if you don't like HAWT as HELL SEX then this series is not for you!! go read some YA Paranormal instead.
We find out more about the Shifter legends and why Ma Hetty has lived in the human town of Dead Wolf, she is there for Aisha when she is confused by the two older brothers actions. Slowly we learn more about Aisha's past, the shifters who were literally exterminated by the bigoted townspeople, and some parts are downright sweet and you want to be there in that remote cabin in the wilderness, wrapped up in furs and with hunky well hung hunks!
Abby has written a very hot but interesting shifter romance in this series, and now that all three are out I would say grab them all as you won't be able to stop when you get to the end of each one.
I am happy how the story ended, but there were one or two parts where I wish Aisha had stuck up for herself. With her getting stronger and realising that she had purpose and deserved to be treated with respect, then she should have reacted differently to a certain meeting with her ex fiancee Heath - That SOB got what was coming to him - but I wish that Aisha would have been able to give him what he deserved.
I also would have liked to have seen the town of Dead Wolf's human inhabitents been given some frigging lessons in humanity - that place was a magnet for the worst of human kind - and they all deserved to get wiped out really - the only two of the humans worth being left to live were Tilly and Hilda from the Bar!
Now to the sex scenes - I some people may raise their eyebrows reading the mating scenes - but when you take into account that This is a Shifter story and if you google Wolves Mating then you quickly realise that Abby has actually done some research and thats one of the things I did love about this series - that you can tell that there has been some research and thought into the plotline.
For those that are new to Erotic Paranormal - give this series a try as I can say that its one that gives you a great story with some really good hot scenes that are not just written for titillation they are part of the whole theme.
So thanks Abby Weeksfor contacting my blog to review this series, its been one I couldn't put down.
This is the third book in Abby Weeks new paranormal Trilogy “The Wolfpack”. In this first book we traveled with Aisha, Heath, and Hunter from Washington to Dead Wolf, Alaska. In the second book we learn more about who and what Aisha is, how she fairs in Dead Wolf, and what her future may have in store for her if she decides to take it. In the third and final book, we learn Aisha’s fate. We learn about the truth about her past, how she is faring in her present, & what her possible future is. You will once again be on an up and down emotional rollercoaster ride.
Aisha is settling into her life as a “handmaiden”, a female shifter. She has offered the Handmaiden Bond to all four brothers. Hardy and Tucker accepted the bond happily. Packer accepted the bond as well, but then took off into the Forest. Logan took off into the forest before accepting the bond. Have Packer and Logan run off for good? Do they not want to fully bond with Aisha? Will Aisha be able to get all four brothers back together and finish the bonding?
Hardy and Tucker are happy with the situation. Ready and willing to be everything Aisha needs, and accept that she is, or will be, bonded to all four of the brothers. Can they help Aisha get through the absence of Packer and Logan?
Packer has his own emotional issues to work through. Will he be able to accept sharing Aisha with his brothers? Or will he continue to remain away from the pack and Aisha?
Logan seems unwilling to accept the situation of Aisha forming a Handmaiden Bond with all four of them. Can he work through the emotions that are causing him to run from it, or is there something else that is keeping him away?
I loved this book; you learn more about shifters and about Aisha’s Parents. Aisha is not quite ready for her Happily Ever After at the beginning of this book. She has a lot of ups and downs to get through still. And she has to deal with the information she gets about her parents, about the History of the Shifters, and a prophecy. Did I mention there is a Prophecy?? You will have to read the book to find out what it is and how it involved Aisha. Once again there are a lot of ups and downs emotionally. If you have ever read Abby before you know she does not do things the easy way. This book is no different and well worth reading. I don’t want to ruin it for you, so I am not giving anything away about it… but I LOVE the ending.
In this the final installment of Abby Weeks' shifter trilogy, the heroine Aisha learns what it truly means to be a handmaiden. She had bonded with three of the brothers, but Logan has gone off alone and no one knows where he is or what he is doing. Aisha is learning the powers that she possesses that shows that she is a shifter handmaiden. She makes love to Hardy and Tucker and once Packer gets over his emotional issues he too makes passionate love to Aisha. Though the sex is like nothing she has ever experienced before her mind is still on Logan and her desire to have him return to the pack.
They all receive a message that Logan has been captured and is being returned to Dead Wolf to be killed. His three brothers take off to ambush the truck on the route to town and Aisha heads into Dead Wolf to see Ma Hetty. Ma Hetty cautions all of them to wait for the right time that they will be able to rescue Logan and after some brutal treatment they do. All of them return to the cabin on the mountain to await Logan's recovery.
During his recovery, Logan tells Aisha a little about her history and the reasons for his disappearance during her bonding ceremony. He leads her to an abandoned village high in the mountains and to a cemetery where her mother and father and his father are buried and tells her how they have come to be there. It is a story of sacrifice so that the species would be allowed to continue in the future and to fulfill and prophecy that had been handed down through the ages in the shifter community. Ma Hetty informs Aisha that she was the child of that prophecy and that Logan had to leave to fulfill the prophecy since he was the true Alpha male. He could only fulfill the prophecy by carrying out certain things.
Needless to say Aisha and Logan have their own bonding ceremony and make love. The prophecy has been fulfilled and the pack is one. Aisha has found her place in the world and is the happiest she has ever been. A story of the search to find one's place and in the end finding that place
I was given an ARC of Loved by the Pack for an honest review.
Please read this trilogy in order, or it would be next to impossible to follow the story lines.
Aisha has come so far from the innocent, abused young woman that was tricked by her emotionally abusive boyfriend into moving to northern Alaska. In the first 2 books of this trilogy, Aisha goes through some extremely difficult and dark situations, which open her eyes to the life she is expected to accept as just a normal part of her new life in Alaska. These books are so well written that it makes it hard to read some of the passages, you feel as though you are the one experiencing these things yourself. You see small chances for happiness in Aisha new life.
In the last book, Loved by the Pack, once again Aisha is dealing with emotional turmoil, While she has come to think of all four of the brothers as family and she has bonded with three of them, the oldest has deserted her at the bonding ritual. Packer the one she feels she cares for the most also leaves her after bonding with her, he doesn't think he can share her with his brothers. Aisha is still learning what her roll will be in northern Alaska as well as her roll in the family of shifters. She is beginning to forget the horrors she experienced in the village. She still maintains contact with Ma Hetty, she wants to learn from her. There are many emotional ups and downs in this final book in the trilogy. You hope she is done with the towns people, but they are not done with her and the shifters yet. Aisha learns much from each of the shifter brothers. She learns how much they will depend on her for their happiness, and that it is their place to protect her, even if it would mean they forfeit their lives in doing so. She is shown glimpses of her legacy and her destiny, what she means to the future of the shifters.
I liked this book the most, I wanted it to continue, I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters that I grew so close too.
As the story begins, Aisha is completely devoid of self-worth and it is reflected in her decisions. She allows herself to be used as a doormat because she is afraid of being alone. She's afraid to ask for help, she's afraid to let anyone know about the verbal & emotional abuse she receives from her BF Heath. When Heath gets a job in Alaska, she willingly follows even after the slap in the face proposal he gave her.
This is the only life Aisha has known. She knows she shouldn't put up with Heath's antics, but as so many young girls today, they're afraid to speak up for themselves, they're afraid to ask for help because they don't want people to know how they're being treated, so they cover it up.
On the way to Alaska, Heath pressures Aisha into having sex with both men. Although she does not want to, she goes along with it and is raped by both men on several separate occasions. As a matter of survival, when attacked by the wolves, Aisha kills a couple saving Heath & Hunter's life. Once she arrives in town, she finds out women are out numbered by men to a vast degree, and the men exchange for protection for sex and tell her "she better get used to it". The emotional and physical abuse and rape Aisha goes through ties in with who she is and she accepts it rather than fight against it.
Then she meets Ma Hetty, who helps her to realize who she is, and little by little gives her strength to believe she ISN'T worthless. She tells Ma Hetty of this stranger she met on the boat, an interesting stranger who tried to give Aisha the courage she needed to take a stand.
There are folks who don't like it when female characters just let thing happen to them, but this happens in every day life. Lack of self-worth negatively impacts her decisions and how they appear until the realized she isn't worthless, she doesn't have to be a doormat. It may have taken a while, but she got the strength to believe she ISN'T worthless and it's okay to make other choices.
This was a wonderful conclusion to the trilogy. I was sad to see it end. Everything comes full circle in this book and all your under answered questions are answered and then more.
I love how Aisha becomes the woman she is supposed to become and even more I love how she finally is able to stand up to Heath (best part ever) and to stand up to the person she once was.
I had mixed feelings about Logan at first because at the end of the second book he runs away, but everything is explained and I fell in love with Logan. I was all about Packer, but Logan took my breath away.
I also loved how you got a sense of ending with this book. There wasn't any loose threads. There wasn't an epilogue but Ma Hetty was able to explain how life would be and I loved that. Again-it all comes around in a full circle.
Great book. I can't say enough about it without giving anything away but this is by far my favorite book of hers (granted I still have a series or two that I haven't read) And this book has even made my all time favorite book list. A million thumbs up!
If you have any doubts-don't. The sex scenes were AWESOME and I've already reread this book three times....
For the comment about the three separate books. I didn't think these books were short at all. They all ended at a good point and just made it that much better. The lengths of the three books I felt were actually longer than some of her other books have been. Just the right length and stopping at the right spot.
I had a hard time rating and reviewing this one. I love Abby's writing and love the series. This is the 3rd book in the series and you will need to read them in order. Wolf shifters are one of my favorite books to read in this genre, the writer does well at bring the shifter life. I enjoyed the story-line and the characters. How the writer gave us the sure separation between wolf, shifter and human a bit different in some aspects of what I normally read but she made it work. Once Abby had made up her mind to accept what she was told about herself, she was determined to make all four men happy and settle into as normal life as she could. Settling didn't quiet happen and for the moment Aisha finds herself with just two of the brothers, while the other two come to terms with their "new" lives. The big thing to remember is ...before they found Aisha they lived knowing they would have no mate and now the one female that they can have, has to be shared. There are a few bumps in the road that may bring them all closer... or tear them apart. The Village... Aisha's ex, and other humans all stir up the kettle full of what ifs, danger and at the end...fate.. yep.. fate.. may she forever wield her weapon true. Come along and see what Aisha and the others have in store for you. Start with book 1 but yes grab this read this Enjoy this..
Loved by the Pack is the 3rd book in the trilogy. The 1st two books were amazing and the 3rd book didn’t disappoint. Aisha finally finds her place in the pack. Logan and Packer took off in the 2nd book, they find their way back, but not without intense circumstances. Aisha finally mates with the younger two brothers, which was a hot threesome, but when she finally mates with Packer, it is everything I hoped it would be. Packer and Aisha have such a close bond, that their time together was special. When Logan finally comes home, he shares the story about her parents and how she became the last handmaiden. Then Aisha finally gets to mate with Logan and it is a magical moment for them. I love the way Abby lets us know how things end in a non-traditional way. You typically read epilogues at the end of the story to see how things are in 6 months, a year, etc., but Abby mixes things up and puts a creative spin on how we see the future. This book has steamy sex scenes, a fight scene where people get what is coming to them, and a happily ever after. This is one of my favorites from Abby Weeks!
I am giving this review on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog. This is such a great ending to a great series. You are finally given all the answers to any question you could possibly think of. We start the book with her being mated to 3 out of 4 of the brothers. Logan ran off and no one is sure why. The question now is, will he come back and except the bond with Aisha or will he turn to someone else and not come back? Heath makes yet another appearance in this book and as always, it’s not a good meeting. What will ever happen to him? You’ll have to read to find out! Without putting in any spoilers, and trust me it is hard, you will NEED to read this book and you will enjoy it every second. Yet again Abby continues to keep us on our toes and there in no dull moment in here. It is definitely a very sexy conclusion you do not want to miss. I wish there was another book so we can find out more in what happens to the humans in Dead Wolf, especially to all the evil men who live there, but I will except that! Vengeance is served in here, so that is a major plus! Don’t miss out on possibly one of the best trilogies so far of this year!
I just finished & feel somewhat relieved with how 'Loved by the Pack' ended the "Wolfpack Trilogy". As this is the final book in the trilogy I would advise you to read it in order from book 1 as these installments wouldn't make sense if not read in order.
'Loved by the Pack' starts immediately after book 2 'Taken by the Pack' & is full of angst, action & steamy sex scenes. Aisha bonded with Tucker, Hardy & Packer, but Logan has ran off making Aisha feel rejected. Whilst Logan is away, Aisha becomes mated to the other 3 brothers, slowly getting used to her role as Handmaiden & actually being the last remaining female for the pack. Does Logan come back? Will Aisha finally become comfortable in her role as Handmaiden?
I really enjoyed how Abby tied up all the loose ends in the "Wolfpack Trilogy", most of my questions where answered, but there was a couple left unanswered. I can't believe this is the last book of the trilogy, I want more of Aisha & the pack. Please Abby write a spin-off of this trilogy.
Wow Loved by the Pack was absolutely awesome. I hate that it ended. I have followed Aisha and the shifter brothers since the first book. In this book, Aisha has bonded with each of the brothers except for Logan. He refused to bond with her when she did her mating ceremony. Later in the book she mates with the other 3 brothers and even her terrible ex tries to kidnap her and even shoots at her. (She's fine). Anyhow she falls in love with the 3 brothers each in their own way. A special bond between each of them. While she's wondering about Logan she gets a vision and he tells her he's been caught. They need to save him, she sneaks into town and they humiliate Logan and are going to kill him, the brothers get him and he is saved. He starts bonding with Aisha, he teaches her about her family and has killed the evil ex boyfriend. The connection between them is absolutely amazing. Aisha wants cubs, will she get them and if so by which brother? Beautiful fictional book that I enjoyed, that just took me away! :)
