Rosie Hunt is a British author of cozy mysteries both puzzling and historical. Her books include the Lady Felicity Quick mystery series set in the green and pleasant countryside of southwest England in the 1920s.

A history addict and former journalist, Rosie grew up immersed in the worlds of Poirot and Miss Marple. This early exposure to baffling murder mysteries rather coloured her outlook on life, and it was only a matter of time before she wrote her own.

5 stars - cause it sucked me in and gave me a happy ending.

I devoured this book. It started with a bang, and continued through out.... Twists and turns and red herrings. Why did someone shoot during Felicity and Coopers wedding... Is someone trying to kill Felicity ? We know there is a long line of suspects.... and who is leaving the notes, and why is there a strange man lurking about? I had so much fun trying to figure things out.... and failed.....

I loved the Dowager, I loved Pip and Jasper - omg I loved his gift.

We see the Dowager step in, with the help of friends to solve the mystery. I loved her role during this mystery. It brought a lightness to this cozie and makes you wish you had a grandmother as fierce and protective as she. AND PIP - so cute.... There is a part in the book where the police are waiting for a bloodhound to arrive from Exeter, but the Dowager suggest PIP take its place .... I mean PIP is a Yorkie, not a blood hound.... The Dowager's disappointment that PIP wasn't considered to sleuth out clues was just too cute.

I've read all 12 books, and I must say this one is my favorite.

Murder at a Country Wedding by Rosie Hunt is a Lady Felicity Quick mystery. The day has finally arrived: Alex and Felicity’s wedding day. They made it through the ceremony and signing of documents. Just then, the page boy tripped and Felicity bent over to steady him and a shot rang out. The bullet tore apart her bouquet and Alex knocked her to the floor. Why had someone wanted to shoot her? Then, there were notes. One in the wedding cake box when it was delivered and than later, one slipped under the front door. There were guards and she was not allowed to leave the house. Problem. She couldn’t not investigate so she figured out a way. Eventually they gave up and she just had a guard with her. In was an intriguing investigation. Their honeymoon was supposed to be a writing trip for Alex and his new job. Now that was postponed. Another problem.

We saw some different personality traits in this story, the biggest was Jasper, who was almost human and caring. He sniffled when he saw her in her wedding gown. He bought them an amazing wedding gift. The honeymoon was postponed as Felicity and the police investigated. Felicity had more imagination and so it was she that discovered most of the clues. Alex was right there, assisting and guarding both. Grandmama was at her lively best. And Pip was there for every moment. The plot was complicated and very complex. Crimes that she hadn’t anticipated reared their heads and Felicity was right there, going with the flow. She is an amazing character, unique for her time: strong and independent, yet loving. Terrific book.

Lady Felicity and Alex have just been pronounced husband and wife when suddenly a gunshot rings out; fortunately, Felicity had just bent over to assist the young ring bearer and the bullet is found in the woodwork of the hymnal numbers board. All other plans for future activities for the wedding couple are canceled as well as the quick escape to their honeymoon are put on hold. The police want to keep the couple isolated at Felicity grandmother’s mansion but investigator Felicity isn’t going to stand for that nonsense; compromises are made that she won’t do or go anywhere without notifying the police and that Alex will accompany her at all times. Her grandmother, Lady Henrietta, gave me more than one giggle when she would insist on accompanying Felicity and Alex when they would venture out with the chauffeur. While the entire village shows up for the wedding, several of the tradespeople show up at the mansion concerned that their expenses would not be paid since the wedding dinner didn’t take place: didn’t expect this from the villagers livelihood depends so much on the people of Bradley Court. Will the person responsible for this shooting (plus a couple of murders and an abandoned child) be found so that the wedding couple can be off to their honeymoon and Alex’s foreign assignment before his boss changes his mind and has Alex replaced. Enjoy this topsy-turvy read. I received an ARC from the author, Rosie Hunt; opinions reflected are my own.

Murder at a Country Wedding is the twelfth book in the Lady Felicity Quick mystery series.

Devonshire, 1923. The wedding of Lady Felicity Quick, sometime journalist, sometime sleuth, and her fellow journalist Alexander Cooper is ending. A gunshot rings out, destroying Felicity's bouquet. Determined to both protect Felicity and prevent her from investigating, police tell her to stay home and they mount guards to keep her there. Undeterred, she evades her guards to investigate anyway, and continues even after a suspect attempts to break in. All is not as it seemed at the end of the wedding. Suspense builds with the discovery of thefts of silver and jewelry and unexpected suspects, until a final breakthrough and surprise ending finally make sense.

Although part of a series this book does not significantly rely on information from previous books and can be read as a standalone. Supporting characters from earlier in the series do assist in the investigation. The twists and turns are interesting, but this is not the best of the series, which made it easy to put down and take a break. A weak 4 stars.

While various tangential circumstances come to light, Felicity and Alex must unravel which are relevant to the events that occurred during the wedding ceremony and which are not.

This lovely cosy mystery will keep you guessing till the end. You may find the book is a challenge to put down as more of the plot comes to light. If you’ve not read the other books in the Lady Felicity Quick Mystery Series, you will be able to follow along with this one, likely wanting to read the others when you are done. If you are reader who has been following Lady Felicity through her adventures, you’ll adore this novel and appreciate the the events around the wedding you’ve been waiting for.

Nobody is hurt, but the local baker later shows Felicity a threatening note meant for her, which had been slipped into a basket of decorations for the wedding cake. The police insist that Felicity stay under guard at Bradley Court, but she won't let that stop her from investigating, assisted by her grandmother, Lady Henrietta, and her husband, Alex. Her dog Pip is often along for the ride! There are surprises along the way, but the mysteries (yes, there are more than one) are eventually solved, and Felicity and Alex can depart on their long-awaited honeymoon.

This book can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading the whole series, it is a delight to see the development of the various characters and their relationships, especially that of Felicity and Alex.

This is the third book I have read in the Lady Felicity Quick Mystery series. Felicity's wedding to Alex Cooper is interrupted by a shot in the packed church and thus begins a nicely plotted mystery which has Felicity, Alex, her grandmama, and all the mansion's staff interviewing witnesses and searching for clues.

The author kept me guessing until the end when it became clearer what each occurring incident meant, and who was responsible. I like the rural Devon small town setting and the cast of interesting characters, especially Pip the terrier!

Another intriguing historical mystery from Rosie Hunt which I can highly recommend.

It's hard to believe that we are at book twelve in the series and also finally at Felicity's wedding day. As expected, it does not go off without a hitch namely a shot ringing out right at where Felicity was standing a moment before. Who would want her dead?

I enjoyed how she as usual manages to dig out the truth before the police does but there are a few rabbit holes to go down first which made the story more interesting for me. The reveal was quite a surprising twist which I definitely did not see coming. Overall, a really enjoyable read as usual and I look forward to reading more in the series.

She agrees to delegate investigating to Lady Henrietta and her friends, but still manages to investigate on her own. Fun to get to know the supporting cast, including Jasper. With lots of twist and turns, this is an enjoyable and entertaining mystery with likeable characters and lots of heart! It’ll be interesting to see what comes next!

At last Felicity and Alex get their wedding, and it is a happy day for the couple, despite the attempted murder. I love the interaction between the couple and the other characters, this was sweet and funny. Pip the dog, created a few smiles as well, not forgetting Felicity's grandmother, what a character! So many twists and turns in Rosie Hunt's latest Lady Felicity book. I've fallen in love with the series and hope that Cici and Alex's adventures will continue.

There are a lot of things that can go wrong at a wedding, but I suspect this one never occurred to Felicity and Alex. With the wedding comes a full scale mystery, and Felicity feels like she must solve it.

Lady Felicity does it again, as does Rosie Hunt! Another delightful cozy mystery to enjoy. I did not figure out whodunnit a head of time so the reveal was good. This one was a little different as it isn't really a murder mystery but an apparent attempted murder. And thefts. And child abandonment. There were lots of things to figure out. And a rough start to a marriage.

Alex and Felicity are finally getting married and you will feel you are one of the guests when reading the wonderful details of the happy couple and their wedding day.
