How to Build an Online Empire through Blog Commenting

Rate this book
Is there enough to say about blog commenting to fill a whole eBook? Yes, yes there is.

Learn how to build an online empire through blog commenting. I explain how I received an eBook endorsement from a New York Times Best Selling Author through blog commenting. From landing a speaking engagement at NYU to receiving testimonials from authority bloggers I share how you too can replicate my online success using blog commenting as the basis of your marketing campaign.

Blog commenting is the most undervalued blog marketing strategy used by smart entrepreneurs today. Most bloggers are missing the bus on commenting because they fail to see the power in strategy. Ryan scored celebrity endorsements by simply sharing his opinion for free in high profile, relevant spots. He shares specifically how

- increase your blog traffic quickly
- grow your blogging community
- leverage your online presence
- expand brand awareness
- make friends with influential bloggers

all through intelligent blog commenting.

Address some of the worst blog commenting errors to cut your learning curve by years. Whether you're doing dreaded Drive By comments or you're gabbing in all the wrong places you may be wasting your precious time.

If you build it they won't come. Contrary to popular belief you won't generate significant blog traffic or income by publishing blog posts and sitting around for blog traffic to pour in. Marketing is as important as creating relevant, inspired, valuable content. Many newbie or even struggling bloggers can't afford to spend thousands of dollars monthly on marketing funnels and other in-depth, sophisticated marketing strategies to increase blog traffic. Blog commenting offers you a free, easy to work alternative to expensive systems and other difficult to execute strategies.

Guest posting rocks but you may or may not get your guest posts published in a timely fashion. Social media marketing works well but the time and energy required to drive social traffic can be daunting to any level of blogger. Blog commenting is a super simple, powerful and 100% free marketing strategy which helps you sprint past typical gatekeepers.

Ryan dissects the anatomy of a traffic driving comment. He also stresses the many benefits of blog commenting to get you on board quickly.

If you are fed up with having little blog traffic and if your blogging income trickles in way too slowly you likely have a marketing problem. Download this eBook to increase your exposure, to build relationships with influential bloggers and to become a well-known, connected, authority blogger quickly.

Ryan Bidduph has written some great books about achieving financial freedom through blogging. This, alas, is not one of them.

His central premise is intriguing. Instead of focusing on building email lists as a way of gaining visibility and influence (like so many other blogging gurus do) Biddulph claims that the fastest way to connect with the influencers who will help you get seen and gain your own influence is through building relationships with them by leaving substantive comments on their blogs. These are not self-serving, self-promoting comments, but authentic engagement with the target blogger's content.

What's not to like about that?
Personally, I think it's a great idea.

So why give this book only two stars?

Because he takes far too much time enthusing about his own island-hopping life and far too little time providing concrete examples of quality commenting. He could have cut at least 1/3 of his text (and quite possibly more) without taking anything away from his actual message.

But do NOT write off Biddulph as one of the far too common ebook authors who throw up a bunch of basic content that's not even worth reading for free. This guy has some great insights, which he expresses far more effectively in books like "Blogging from Paradise: 10 Disastrous Mistakes Newbie Bloggers Make and How to Fix Them" and "10 Stupid Simple Fundamentals of Blogging" -- which I haven't reviewed on GoodReads yet because I'm still working with them, taking notes and reflecting on how I can implement his advice. I intend to check out all his books because he does seem to have a unique and valuable perspective on successful blogging, and because he is obviously living the dream life.

This book, however, is not the best introduction to his work.
