About the author

Scientist by day, paranormal romance-urban fantasy author by night, M.L. Ryan has many stories rolling around in her head, and she finally decided to write some of them. She prefers literature that isn't saddled with excruciating symbolism, ponderous dialogue or worldly implications. She also doesn't like plots so reliant on love at first sight that it makes her feel like her head might implode. She lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband and teenage son, four cats, two Curly Coated Retrievers and an adopted desert tortoise.

Will Hailey EVER catch a break? Talk about one accidental heroine who is fodder for living Murphy’s Law! M.L. Ryan must be having a LOT of fun with this series and it shows! Special Passage grabs the baton from the previous book and takes off at a full out run and I was swept into the vortex of chaos that is Hailey’s life, and to think it all started with a Kindle and an arrogant man from another dimension.

This time out, poor Hailey’s powers have turned her into a sci-fi version of Big Bird or maybe an Angry Bird, which leaves her the target of humor left and right, and yet, when the chips are down, who comes flying in for the win when evil strikes from ANOTHER dimension? Thankfully none of Hailey’s attitude, snark or “fowl” mouth has changed, even if no one can understand her. Will she be stuck like this forever? Poor girl deserves some respect, although she does have Alex, her long-suffering boyfriend and buffer between her and Sebastian. Does Sebastian really think he can turn our Hailey into a warrior class fighting machine if he cannot figure out how to keep her temper from going haywire and destroying things?

M.L. Ryan continues to be funny, clever and full of surprises as she steers through the maze of events that just keep on coming. She writes with the kind of quirkiness that makes for fun reading from start to finish all while keeping her plot on target for another hit! With characters that run from sweet to self-important, there is never a dull moment when the banter starts or the page is turned. Take the series to the beach this summer and let people wonder what you are chuckling about!

Hailey Parris lives in a luxury house in the Southwest. Her boyfriend is a blond hunk who is fabulously wealth, as is his mentor. Hailey also happens to have the ability to change into a hawk. This fourth installment in a series outlines what happens when Hailey, her lover, his mentor, and a group of Hailey devotees from Coursodon, another dimension, all are transported to yet a third dimension. The book is filled with laugh-out-loud asides, spins a great yarn, and leaves you wanting more and to read the first three novels if you have not done so already. This is a great read.

After her adventure with Keem from the third and previously unknown dimension Dekankara, Hailey still trains with Sebastian to get more control about her abilities. To help her friend Ulut to transform back from dog into his human form, Hailey and her friends start a journey to an area which is rumoured to be magically enhanced. During a thunderstorm the group suddenly finds themselves accidentally transferred into another dimension: Dekankara, the home of Ulut. The good news is that Ulut can transform back, the bad news is they are stuck in this dimension until another thunderstorm or if they can find another way back. Dekankara is like being back in the Middle Ages without electricity and the worst news is that Courso magic seems to be kind of wonky. Soon the group is trapped by a ruthless warlord who forces Hailey in her animal form to fight his battles and after she transforms, she is stuck and every day she gets weaker...

Another great adventure for Hailey and her friends and a another great read for me. The more I read about this series, the more addicted I become. I love the writing and the humor is still fantastic. The love story between Hailey and Alex continues and there might be a wedding soon. I love this series and hope there will be many more books!

Kindle Unlimited - Yay!

So far, the first half of this book is my favorite in the series. Found myself thinking it'd be hard to get any better. It was so good that, at first, the second half felt like suddenly shifting into a lower gear. But once I got past the transition, it was easy to get back into the solidly written storyline.

Alright I am totally hooked

I was able to listen to the first 3 books on Audible and enjoyed them immensely and wanted to listen to book 4 that way but it is not available on Audible yet. Was going to wait for it on Audible but just could Not. So I read this one and will not be able to way to read the next one either. This Series is GREAT!!

Good

I really enjoy Haileys adventures. This one was definitely different, how often does she get to shift into birdzilla...Agnes was quite the character, reading about her verbal skirmishes with Hailey was quite entertaining.

Gets better each time I read this series.

As life would have it, there are times when my collection of new ebooks don t spark my interest. At those times I go back k to my tried and true lol sets a pick a series to re-read. I have read this particular series about 4 times since I originally got the 1st book free and then purchased the following books.
I always find something else to love about the characters and their individual personality quirks , or the storyline itself that I didn't notice before. I love so much about this series. I highly recommend it if you like creative characters and really good writing with words longer than one syllable, this series is for you.

And they're back!
Poor Hailey has the worst luck. Just as she finishes one "adventure" another comes along. There was a lot happening in this book. Hailey and her BFF have a fight, there's a nosy deputy sniffing around, and there is talk someone is after her! All of this and they have to find entry into another dimension.

I loved getting to meet all the new characters. Just like the previous books there was plenty of action and mystery. The author knows how to right a unique story that flows really well. I can't wait for the next one to find out what adventure Hailey and the daring duo will get into next.

Impossible to put down

I have been so engrossed in the story line, that I have read all 4 books in one week & getting started on the fifth book. The characters & plot just pull you in & you just have to know how it works out. I highly recommend you read this author's writing. A new favorite for me.

Slow at times but still good

This book felt a lot different from the first 3, I had trouble at times staying engaged with the story but glad that I stuck with it. Now I get to impatiently wait for the next one to fond out what happened with the cliffhangers.

Another fun read!

This was another fun read. I was laughing at parts, especially about Haileys mom. Reminds me so much of my Mom! Lots of action and adventure.
