Sneaking into enemy territory behind my Alpha’s back in order to prevent a war she wants, I come face to face with Marsalis, the enemy Alpha, himself. Only, when I’m caught spying Marsalis takes me to a back room and instead of an interrogation, we realize we are actually mates.
The only problem is- he doesn’t realize who I am.
When he finds out will he accept our bond or use me as a pawn? When he decides to hold me in his territory, I know it is as a way to provoke my Alpha. I know one thing, if my Alpha doesn’t have vengeance, she will use my kidnapping as the excuse she needed to start a long, bloody pack war. Is there any way I can stop it? Same old, same old, same old story here:
the author has written a single, not too long novella, then it has cut it into several very, very, very short pieces.
The first is a freebie to lure the reader in, the others are outrageously expensive: to get the whole one needs to pay quite the sum.
It is an unethical practice and I will never endorse it with MY money.
And to think that the story seemed interesting with potentially interesting characters.

I think this one was a freebie I noticed in the M/M book rec group in facebook. It's not a bad book but I don't really like this short books and I felt like the story didn't really even begin before it ended.. I felt like the story had been divided in several book to lure people into the story with the first book being free..

The shape shifting in this story includes shaping the human form to make disguises as well as to help the anal sexy time. Not all shifters are made the same because it seems that Ronaldo can do things that other shifters can not. Too short for me to get into the story so I won't be buying the rest of the very short story series.
36 pages short story with cliffhanger to get you to read the rest of the series.

The purpose of this story is like a lot of other shifter books I've read, but the characters were awesome and I enjoyed the trickery in this one. But it was just too short for me to really get into. I would like to read books 2 and 3 but I refuse to pay $2.99 for books with so few pages, it's ridiculous.

enemy love
The alpha and beta of rival enemy packs being mates surely fate is playing a sick and twisted joke on them.
Renaldo is a beta in his mother's pack and to avoid the pack war that will start if his mother's plans come to pass he seeks into enemy territory to find the two wolves and hide them until things cool down. What Renaldo didn't expect that he would be caught listening outside the enemy alpha's office and he surely didn't expect that when he was brought to the alpha he would be his mate
When the spy is brought Marsalis he surely not happy especially when he realizes that the spy is his mate, the their is a commotion and when he goes to investigate he sees more enemy wolves in his pack's territory. He is even more surprise when the command to stand down come from by his side where his mate is standing. Now he knows who his mate is he has to issue a challenge he hopes that it works out

This was a short book and the story moved along quickly. The premise is rather interesting. Beta Renaldo has the ability to mask his wolf as well as that of his best friend Carlos. He enters a rival pack's territory to try and intercept 2 wolves who committed a crime against a member of his pack. He is doing this against his mother also his alpha's wishes as he is trying to prevent a war. He meets Alpha Marsalis and they are fated mates. The story needed a bit more development between the two as well as the reason behind the feud between Marsalis and Ondira. What is the history there. The story just stopped there was no end - -left with many questions not sure when and if they will be answered. But I liked how it started off would have been better if there was a solid explanation of sorts.

Yes, there was conflict coming from every angle.
Most of which were not resolved which the author also mentioned at the end of the series.
This is one of those if I could give it a 3.5 stars I would.
I don't usually love short books but I read the entire series back to back so I will excuse this being a shorty.
If you love some hot wolfy M/M insta mate attraction.... then this is the book for you.

Would I check out other books by the author? Yes (8.5 out of 10)

An alpha and beta clash!
I loved this! Ronaldo is trying to keep is power hungry mother, alpha of his pack from going to war with the neighboring pack so he disguises himself and enters the other packs territory. When he gets there he is intrigued by a man who seems to call to him, but he can't and shouldn't act on it, since it's the alpha of that pack. The chemistry is instant and I can't wait for more! This ends in a cliffhanger, but so worth the read.

This could have been so much more. With a few edits and a combination of Book 1, 2 and 3 you could have a freakin' 4-5 star rating.
What is it with writers hacking up a story to get people to buy three or more books? Hot sex but falls short due to the short in the short story... which by the way it isn't, because it continues in book 2.

Got this for free and then again when I got the Kindle Unlimited 3 pack. It's a good start to the story and has some really good heat but I hate the practice of serial works where you have to get reading to get any sense of satisfaction. I think that several completed books or even novels in a series rather this sort of serial fiction would have been a better choice.

Marsalis and Renaldo are in different packs and they are posed for war. When Renaldo meets the Alpha, Marsalis, he masks his smell so they don't recognize themselves as mates. However when he is found out and taken for questioning everything comes out. I enjoyed how they tested each other and how well they worked together.

I have a love for werewolf mating stories and this hit all of my favorite spots. Really love the somewhat Romeo and Juliet kinda setting with werewolves. (Hopefully, this series won't end like them though.)

Intriguing!!
I enjoy were shifter stories of any kind but m/m are my favorite. Especially ones that continue and very erotic with the added romance. Anyone who enjoys these types of stories will like this one.

Quick, short read. Beta going after two wolves but ends up mated the the opposing pack's alpha. Great start to series. Author has a fantastic way with words. Wished there was a little more substance, and, of course, it was longer. Unfinished story...cliffhanger ending.

Excellent start to a series! It did definitely end on a cliffhanger, though, which is a little unusual for books this short. Thankfully the entire series is available on Kindle Unlimited, so I went right out and grabbed the second book!

This book introduced a different world than the normal shifter trope. I liked that Ren felt the pull of the mating bond, but didn't completely abandon his principles or his loyalties simply because of it.
