I had fun reading the letters and the poems. I was merely surprised to see poems in what I expected to be a purely epistolary novel. A nice, emotional read with many beautiful poems and very personal letters.
I received a free ARC by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
The first sapphic book published in America!! Leonora is Ethel’s monster (ethel positions herself as Dr. Frankenstein, and Leonora is the monster she created).
Plays with themes of queer monstrosity and the transgothic. I cannot recommend this enough. Easy read because of its epistolary form.
