In this fourth book in the series, Archie is taken to the criminal organization B.U.R.P.'s mothership where he must outsmart evil masterminds!
Archie Morningstar's dad drives a taxi through outer space! And with the help of a talking cat named Pockets, Archie and his dad help fight crime across the universe.
Wendy Mass is the author of thirty novels for young people, including A Mango-Shaped Space, which was awarded the Schneider Family Book Award, Leap Day, the Twice Upon a Time fairy tale series, Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall, the Willow Falls, Space Taxi and Candymakers series. Wendy wrote the storyline for an episode of the television show Monk, entitled "Mr. Monk Goes to the Theatre," which aired during the show's second season. She tells people her hobbies are hiking and photography, but really they're collecting candy bar wrappers and searching for buried treasure with her metal detector. Wendy lives with her family in New Jersey.
119 pages. This time Archie and the crew head to a planet of dogs. Now is that a good idea, considering Pockets is a CAT? Interesting encounters and adventures take off as they go in search of a very rare plant. I like the additional information at the end of each book to extend the discussion or reading interest. Highly recommended for Grades 4-5.
This book isn’t that great for young kids and is kind of boring. The plot doesn’t really pick up until page 60 which is weird when the whole book is only like 110 pages long. Maybe it’s a different experience if you read the first three. It was hard to even remember what species each character was.
