A good continuation of the series. Irwin continues to progress with his smithing and is finding out he is above and beyond the typical smith. There is a good mix of crafting, fighting and characters making this a good story. It does seem at times that the threats are a little bigger than they need to be. I could see why and how it happened in the first couple of books, but he is now supposed to be a on a safe world, and it really isn't that safe. It does lead to some high suspense action. I am looking forward to the next one.

Excellent continuation of Cardsmith Irwin's Journey!

I enjoyed the adventures and trials on Scour. Book four truly shows the growth of the characters and their world. I love that while growth is not instantaneous, it doesn't go overly long. I like the updated text on Scintilla and those 'shenanigans'. This update keeps both the seriousness but also provides deeper viewpoints. Irwin and company put in the work to become stronger and more capable. The Fiverio views showed that everyone is doing their part even while not together. This expanding story kept me locked in. I can't wait for Book 5!

Hummm your way to strength and great Cards

I happen to love, Love, LOVE deck-building litRPG's. I'm drawn to them like Bees to honey! With two of my favorites Cards and Smithing. So following Irwin is an absolute no brainer! In this slice-of-life adventure Irwin and Ambraz the Sapient anvil that's partnered up to him really dive into forging cards and then reforging them to rank the cards in order to improve everyones deck! Turning people into fighters if they choose to. So with a humming song Irwin and Ambraz make the cards dance to their tune. And in the process of Smithing stronger cards and creating allies they're improving their own skills and abilities! Irwin's soul goal in this journey is to make a heart ❤ card! While Ambraz wants to evolve! And there's plenty of action as crazed imps are on a rampage kidnapping Cardsmiths!
So yeah get on deck, grab the book or all'of'em and see what's so special about Irwin and deck-building litRPG's!

good read

Some minor editing issues typical of self published books in the genre. They are a little distracting at times but not so much to take you out of the story

That aside. This is one of current favorites. The characters are really well done and the system is unique. Even when the MC is OP there’s always someone bigger.

Can’t recommend more. It’s worth the read.

Enjoyable cheap read. This seemed longer than the first 3 books in the series. I felt some plot elements were repeated. May have been better shorter I feel. Still 3 stars from me means good.
