He grinned at me while I threw a lamp at his head.
The loud twin. The charming one. The one everybody underestimates because he's smiling while he plots their death.
Emilio DiAngelo talks too much, touches too easily, and looks at me like I'm the most fascinating person in a building full of killers.
I'm not fascinating. I'm a bartender from Baltimore who overheard the wrong conversation and got dragged into a war I didn't start.
He was supposed to protect me. Instead, he provoked me. Challenged me. Made me hit him, bite him, want him in ways I swore I'd never want anyone.
Gigi raised me to survive on my own. She didn't raise me to fall for a man with a crooked grin and blood on his hands who fights like a devil and fucks like one too.
But he came back, every damn time. Bleeding and bruised, with that stupid grin on his face.
And somewhere amongst our bickering, I stopped finding reasons to leave and started finding reasons to stay.

Taking Savannah is the third book in the Vicious Kings series by Haven Snow. This series is classified as dark mafia romance and is intended for mature audiences only.
I love Haven Snows books and this next part to the Vicious Kings Mafia series was highly anticipated. Just a warning you have to read the previous books as although the couple changes, the plot is continued. This book, was fun, spicy, and had so much mafia chaos, and everything I love about a Haven Snow book.
Emilio might be my new favourite of his brothers because I loved his chaotic golden retriever energy. And the fmc Savannah is a tall queen and a cool ass bartender. But their chemistry was truly off the charts from the beginning. There’s no better meet cute than throwing a lamp at someone’s head.
The plot was good, it just seemed a little more filler and not as intense as the previous books. But this story definitely isn’t over, and I can’t wait to see how they will handle this new “Replication Initiative”.

What I love most about Haven’s books is that she doesn’t do weak or helpless women. Her heroines haven’t had easy lives—far from it. They’ve been battered by whatever life has thrown at them, but instead of staying down, they come out swinging. Sure, they know when they’re in over their heads, but they never sit around waiting for a man to rescue them. Take Savannah, for example. After being kidnapped and locked in a room for two weeks, the first thing she does when Emilio walks through the door is launch a lamp at his head. And not some flimsy bedside lamp either. Emilio’s reaction? Surprise… then amusement… quickly followed by complete fascination. Of course, earning a woman’s trust takes a little more than showing up with a killer smile, so Emilio falls back on what he does best, his cocky charm, irreverent humor, and that maddening confidence bordering on arrogance. That’s the thing about Emilio: people see the lopsided grin and assume he’s the class clown. But when that smile disappears? That’s when you know it’s time to run. His twin brother Claudio (Taking Charlotte) might have the reputation for being the dangerous one, but Emilio just hides his darkness better. And then Savannah comes along and somehow has his inner beast purring. Savannah never intended to fall for Emilio. She was just a bartender who overheard something she shouldn’t have, and suddenly found herself pulled into a world far bigger and far more dangerous than she ever imagined. Yet, no matter how many insults she threw or how hard she tried to push him away, Emilio just kept coming back for more. The snarkier she got, the more he seemed to love it. And honestly, it’s hard not to fall for a man who thinks “a$$hole” is a term of endearment. But beneath all the sharp banter, sizzling chemistry, and laugh-out-loud moments, there’s a much heavier story unfolding. Loss hits hard in this book, leaving everyone grieving, and the emotional weight of it ripples through every page. Then come the twists. The revelations. The new threads unraveling with every chapter. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, you’ll definitely miss some of the deeper connections, especially that increasingly sinister link to Westpoint and the growing sense that there are far bigger players pulling strings behind the scenes. With every book, Haven peels back another layer of this world, and I’m completely hooked to see where it all leads. As always, one of my favorite parts of this series is the found family dynamic, and the way Savannah is embraced by everyone, which feels especially poignant after she lost Gigi. As for Emilio and Savannah? Watching them bicker was pure entertainment. I honestly don’t think I laughed this much in any of the previous books. I really hope we see more of them in future installments and I have no doubt they’ll still be trading loving insults just as often as passionate kisses. Savannah is the feisty, spitfire who overheard things while working at a bar. She’s been kidnapped, and Emilio is there to save her.
Emilio is the “talker” of the twins; he’s loud, brash, but the heart of the compound. This book delivers more layers, built upon the world Haven has created with all her other books. The layers just keep coming. We also see Dahlia & Bam in this book.
This is not a standalone book; you really should be reading the others first, and more importantly, her other series, to be able to understand the world.
“You’re good for Emilio. You make him less stupid.” Dahlia said. “Nobody makes Emilio less stupid. I just redirect the stupid into less dangerous channels.” Said Savannah.

My first read from this author and I loved the story of Emilio and Savannah. These two had great chemistry from the onset and it carried on throughout the book. Savannah gave just as good as she got regardless of who she was up against. Thrust into a life she didn’t choose because of what she overheard, Savannah found herself in a somewhat precarious position. Emilio led the rescue mission and from that point, he knew he’d found the ‘one’, Savannah needed just a little more convincing. The danger and drama was everywhere, including way too close to home and once strong alliances had crumbled in this well written series addition with a red hot romance, and well developed secondary characters. Thanks to BookSprout and the author for the opportunity to read and review her work.
Really enjoyed this novel and read in one sitting, I love Ms Haven's strong FMC's and her strong brooding MMC's. This is book 3 of the Vicious Kings series and as all her series have a subplot running through them all. This one has Emilio rescuing Savannah and taking her to the compound to ensure that she is ok. The ending is quite strong and sets up the next book. Savannah is a strong character and fits in well, a bit of a swap on this one as the FMC is the strong silent one and the MMC is the snarky stubborn character but even so a really good read and would definitely recommend this and all of Ms Haven's books. Can't wait for the next one.......

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

This is the 3rd book in the Vicious Kings Mafia series and this story was such an addictive read with the perfect mix of tension, emotion, and chemistry. The connection between the two MCs felt intense right from the beginning, and I loved all the emotional push and pull throughout the story. The pacing kept things moving without feeling rushed, and the drama kept me fully invested the entire time. The spice definitely delivered and added even more heat to the already strong chemistry between the characters. There were a couple moments where I wanted a little more detail or buildup, but overall this was a super entertaining 4.5 star (rounded up to five) read that was hard to put down.

Taking Savannah is the 3rd book in the Vicious Kings Mafia dark romance series. This one continues the story from Taking Alexandra and Taking Charlotte along with connecting to the Feral Boys of Westpoint series. Dahlia and Bam make appearances in this one. Taking Savannah follows Savannah and Emilio and their view points as the events of the series continue to unfold. There is a fair bit of tension between the characters as they are constantly getting interrupted before much can happen, leaving the spice to the second half of the book.

I loved this! It's Emilio & Savannah's story & it was awesome!! LOL! Nothing says I'm attracted to you like a lamp to the head; I loved their 1st meeting. But there're a lot of things happening here; she has info that his family needs. She's such a bad ass in her own right & so many things are going on around her. I loved their back & forth, their chemistry is off the charts; secrets come to light & everyone has to pull together; but there are other people at play here. I can't wait to see how it all turns out. The spice was fantastic & loved the story! We also see some familiar faces!! Recommend this book & author!
Every time you finish a story, you think it can’t get any better, but it does. I love just how much deeper and more intensifying each book gets. Savannah is amazing. Born into something didn’t want, but she’s not just going to sit back and ride it out. She’s fierce and she doesn’t back down. She can dish it just as well as anyone can give. I absolutely loved this one. Her and Emilio were everything. This story was intense and spicy, and there wasn’t anything about it I didn’t love. Can’t wait for the next one.
When I started this series, I was in for the mafia romance and I was for the first two books, but the plot behind that is actually good, with it getting better with each new book in this series. It’s a great series and I absolutely love it and can’t wait to read the next book.

Emilio may have saved Savannah but hes a thorn in her side, one she pushes away but he wont back down, Emilio set his sights on protecting Savannah, hes the loud twin the one many underestimate but hes just as lethal, well written engaging steamy desires drama action and more a great addition to the series
This is the third book in the Vicious Kings Mafia series. Savannah and Emilio’s spicy story was So good. The plot is entertaining and engaging. I enjoyed the intensity, darkness and a bit of humor! An amazing series. I received an early copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
Savannah is slow to trust but can’t help but to fall for Emilio and his family. Loved how everyone comes together in this one for Aurelio’s passing. It was so touching. While Savannah and Emilio find one another, the story continues to build linking together westpoint and the Silent.
The bickering and "catfights" had me rolling. It was so funny and so intense. Hello, Emilio! I don't know how Haven can get me to fall in love with such red flag men and such strong female characters at the same time.
Book 3 does not disappoint. Once i started i couldn't put it down. Its dark, spicy, intense and thrilling. I love the characters Savannah and Emilio. I can't wait to read more from this author.
This was a very sweet story of both of these characters. She's working in a bar while she finds him lurking around. I love how he calls her "Vixen", it's kinda a sweet nickname that she detests at first. He wants to own her in a good way while she works. Emilio is the bad boy of this story & I am obsessed/in love with this book set. I can't wait to see what will be coming next!!
