The Mending of Wings

Rate this book
The things that break easily are often the most difficult to mend.

Aiden has lived a century with the burden of his mistakes. When a plague wiped out the largest group of fae on the east coast, he stood with the healers who refused to abandon them, and watched his wife perish alongside them. With no home to return to, he swore himself to the bounty hunters known as The Errant Reapers, and stopped using his powers as penance.

Wren knows the cost of being powerless. She’s spent her whole life at the hands of twisted men, and she won’t go back without a fight. When Aiden captures her for the bounty on her head, he finds her injured and starved. Faced with the choice of returning her to her chains, he makes the dangerous decision to help her run.

As two tortured souls learn to rely on each other, they trade the darkest parts of themselves and scrape their way toward the light together.

But in a world that has already taken everything away from them, is what binds them together safer than what broke them?

*^^Advanced Reader Review^^*

There are books that entertain you, and then there are books that fundamentally alter your emotional landscape. Haven Price’s The Mending of Wings is a soul-shattering, dark contemporary fantasy that manages to heal you and break you in the exact same breath. Having already encountered Aiden in this world, I knew his story was one I desperately needed, but I wasn't prepared for the sheer gravity of the journey Haven was about to take me on.
The story serves as a hauntingly beautiful healing path for two broken souls who, against all odds, find a way to become one. The MMC and FMC carry burdens that are heavy to witness; between an abused FMC literally and figuratively bearing "broken wings" and a grieving MMC drowning in his own loss, the emotional stakes are sky-high from the very first page. Their background stories are heartbreaking, yet the author handles their trauma with a raw, jagged authenticity that feels both respectful and deeply moving.
By blending the high-stakes tension of a Bounty Hunter x Fugitive dynamic with the ethereal, often cruel nature of Fae characters, the book creates a world where danger is constant, but the internal struggle is the true battleground. The "broken wings" trope is used here to stunning effect—it isn't just a physical trait, but a profound symbol of the FMC’s stolen agency and her grueling fight to fly again.
This is a standalone story set within a larger series, meaning you can dive into this dark contemporary world without any prior knowledge, though seeing Aiden’s path finally unfold felt like a long-awaited gift. This isn't my first time reading Haven Price, and given the way she can weave such profound hope into such dark themes, it certainly won’t be my last. If you’re looking for a story that doesn't shy away from the shadows but promises a hard-won light at the end of the tunnel, this is a must-read.
Who Should Read This?
• Fans of "Healed but Broken" Narratives: If you love a story that acknowledges deep trauma but focuses on the messy, beautiful process of recovery, this is for you.
• Aiden Devotees: If you’ve met Aiden in the series before, his story is the missing piece you didn't know you needed.
• Dark Contemporary Fantasy Readers: Perfect for those who want their Fae stories grounded in the modern world with a gritty, high-stakes edge.
• Lovers of High-Tension Tropes: If you can't resist a "Bounty Hunter x Fugitive" pairing where the external danger is matched only by the internal emotional weight.
• Readers Looking for a Solid Standalone: While part of a series, this journey feels complete and can be enjoyed even if you’re just starting Haven Price’s work.

Aiden takes one last job so he can earn enough money to home up for the winter, but when he catches Wren, he realises very quickly that she’s a victim of aaaalllll the abuse. And the reluctant healer/nurturer in him just can’t put her back in that situation, so he hides her away.

Oh Aiden. Poor tortured soul. We got glimpses of his trauma in the previous books, but the depth of his self-loathing is a fathomless abyss. He blames himself for just about everything, and even a century on he can’t let himself be happy.

Enter Wren! Upbeat and feisty despite her own trauma. She drags him kicking and screaming out of his pit of punishment.

They were perfectly flawed whilst also being unexpectedly perfect for each other.

The story was fast paced without feeling like anything was glossed over, and I especially loved that they weren’t just magically healed because they found love. It made them genuinely three dimensional characters - flawed, raw, and loveable.

ARC Review! Thank you to the author Haven Price for the ARC.

I have read all other books in this series as ARCs and this one is by far my favourite. The little hints into the MMCs character in the previous books had me wanting to know more about him from the beginning, and this didn’t disappoint.

The story follows Aiden and Wren with a dual POV. Aiden is a known to be a grump and a loner but will help his fellow bounty hunters if need be. Wren is a tortured soul who has known much cruelty at the hands of her abuser.

Aiden has the task of bringing Wren in as there is a bounty on her head but the more time he spends with her he realises there is more to the situation than a run of mill fugitive.

The story tackles tough subjects and its worth checking trigger points. This one was certainly more of a dark story than the others but it was beautifully done and learning about both characters and their pain and healing was great. We also get some of the other characters we know and love from the series which is always great.

So if you’re looking for an urban fantasy with elements of trauma, pain and hope, give this one a try.

✨ARC review ☺️
When I tell you I could not put this down.. I read it in less than 24 hours. I had been anticipating diving into Aiden’s story, and I was not disappointed.
Both Aiden and Wren have dark and complicated pasts, I loved getting to watch them help each other overcome them and fall for each other. This story will break your heart, but also put it back together. I can’t wait for the next book!❤️

The story here is a dark fae romance. Grumpy grieving Aiden meets tortured Wren who will do anything not to have to go back to her captor. It’s a short, quick read. I wish there was more backstory. Especially in how she was initially sold and her father. I hadn’t read the first two. I don’t think you need to read them to grasp this one, but I think I’ll add Dimetry & Olivia’s to my TBR as they play large roles in this book.

I read this book in one afternoon, and was loathe to set it down whenever I had to. I am a sucker for a traumatized heroine; throw in a broody traumatized hero and I’m hooked! Let me preface by admitting I struggled with the first two books in the series. So I was hesitant to try this one, but I just loved the premise so much. And I’m not sure what Price changed in her writing style, or if this book just hit differently, but it was so much better in my opinion.

Both Aiden and Wren’s stories are heartbreaking. Wren’s escape from the man she was sold to 14 years prior, and subsequent capture by bounty hunter Aiden, set the framework for a heart wrenching and emotional journey of two broken people slowly learning to trust and heal. Wren has suffered every type of abuse imaginable at the hands of Josef (we hate him), and when Aiden catches her and sees the evidence of that abuse, he realizes there is more to her story and something off about the bounty on her head. A healer who refuses to heal anyone, and who’d rather suffer in his self-imposed shame prison, Aiden is drawn to Wren and makes the decision to give her a safe place to hide until he can get her away from Josef.

These two went on such an emotional journey, and for a book weighing in at 250 pages, so much emotional heavy lifting happened. Aiden was a complicated character, and while his constant pushing of Wren away made my heart physically hurt, he was such a sympathetic MMC, easy to root for. Price’s ability to discuss heavy topics such as alcohol abuse and self harm in the framework of a man suffering under his own guilt and grief was both poignant and understated. Aiden made a slew of mistakes and was unmistakably selfish in his actions, and yet had a fragility to him that made me feral for his growth arc. Seeing him slowly set down his burden of guilt and begin to acknowledge his feelings for Wren was beautifully done.

Wren’s healing journey was expertly handled. Though she never loses her optimism, we see her go from timid and broken to fierce and capable. Her story is harrowing, her villains real, and her support and affection for Aiden unwavering despite him constantly pushing her away. Their slow burn was the best kind, built from sharing secrets, learning trust, and slowly dismantling each other’s walls. I loved it and couldn’t stop reading until the end. The theme of “broken wings” was stunningly executed, both a metaphor and a literal reminder of Wren’s stolen agency and her determination to heal and fly again. Aiden’s role in mending those wings was visceral and deeply felt.

I wish we had longer epilogue, as their HEA was truly the hard earned kind, but in a way it was perfect for them. This was a great emotional read, and one I want for my shelf! Please heed triggers.

I have read every book in this series so far and this one is by far the most emotional one for me. Seeing Aiden and Wren battle their pasts and handle their hurt in different ways was heartbreaking. My poor boy Aiden!! He's been through so much emotional trauma with losing his wife and choosing to close off his healing abilities. He basically locked himself into a world of hurt.
Wren is extremely resilient. Her past is dark and horrific. After being sold as a young girl and enduring ALL of the abuses possible, she still maintains a lightness and hope about her. Her energy is a perfect match for Aiden and the moments where she cares for him...WOW! Don't even get me started on the spice. It was so fun having her take control and perfect for their characters.

I love Dimitry. He is my favorite of the MMCs, so having him make an appearance in this book, with Olivia of course, gave me so much joy. Seeing him call Aiden on his crap and their little petulant fight was such a fun "guy friends" moment. Olivia and Dimitry welcoming Wren into their lives gave me the best found family vibes. The characters in these stories have stolen my heart!

Having the camp drama pop up in this story, made the camp feel real again. Book one had some drama with Milo and others in the camp. Book two brought us more of the joyful, friendship side of the camp. Book 3. Book three gave us the friendships being tested and the camp being split on their opinions of what to do about Wren. It brought back the idea of these bounty hunter Fae males, not being all cosy and that there is a darker side to some of them and I was here for it!

The themes in this book are dark, so please do check the trigger warnings. This one hits on serious triggers. It's a beautiful story of how being not ok, is ok. That time and continued support matters. That forgiving yourself matters. The emotions in this one are raw and deep. And the ending, perfection.

Tropes:
Hurt/Heal
Forced Proximity
Domme/Sub
Bounty Hunter X Fugitive
Who hurt you?

Quote:
"I want to save her. More than anything I want to save her and...I'm terrified I will fail."

I am so late on my review for this book. Sorry Haven! I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.

Stunning, but heavy

Two broken fae struggling to exist help each other heal in The Mending of Wings

Bounty hunter Aiden must make a choice - claim the reward for the woman he has just captured, or listen to his instincts that are screaming that something is not right.

Half-starved and desperate, Wren has escaped after fourteen years of captivity - only to be caught almost immediately. With no other choice than to trust him, Wren finds herself experiencing hope for the first time.

While their lives have been very different, both Wren and Aiden are deeply traumatised. With the continued threat of Wren’s former captor finding her, and the shadows of Aiden’s past dredging up painful memories, they slowly discover acceptance and friendship in each other. But will that be enough?

This was a really beautiful story. Aiden and Wren were both so terribly broken, and their stories are desperately sad. But their path towards healing and each other was done with great respect and sensitivity, showing that a HEA is still possible. Their love story is uniquely theirs, with an ending that honours them both.

The romance is tricky to categorise. Physically things kicks off earlier than they do emotionally, but they don’t just rush right in. I would still describe it as a slow burn (especially emotionally), with zero doors present.

Okay. This book has heavy triggers and should be read with care. Some triggers include alcoholism and self-harm, physical and sexual abuse (including on page), grief, kidnapping and captivity, racism, attempted self unaliving, and parental abandonment. Wren is 16 when she is first kidnapped and her captor is substantially older than her.

This is book three of a series. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the first two books as well. If you want an emotional workout and some urban fantasy, add this book (and series) to the top of your TBR.

📚 Arc Review - Book Review 📚

The Mending of Wings by @havenpriceauthor

Thanks you so much, it has been a journey from meeting Aiden in A name in Embers to his very own book. Since book one, I have so much wanted to know more of Aiden's past, his background but also for him to eventually have that happiness he doesn't want to deserve, especially with how much guilt and sorrowness that he carries around.

"There she is, smiling and thanking me for the simplest things she was denied. She cuts straight into my chest with that beautiful smile." Aiden about Wren

"A small pain to ease the big pain" Aiden to Wren

"I hope someday the big pain doesn't feel so big for you" Wren to Aiden

Reading this book has been everything I was looking for but also cuts open your heart and makes your emotions stumble out. The Mending of each others heart, slowly being out back together not without hard truths, difficult feelings and that sense feeling how haven writes with dealing with sensitive topics, with gentle care and sensitivity.

The feeling of both Aiden and Wren having the support of Olivia and Dimitry ( well eventually when they find out about wren ) help and friendship means just about everything and I love them all it's seriously found family that you would love.

What Aiden brings himself is torment and loneliness but also self inflicting and I'm glad that wren brings him alive with the emotions but also helps him through so much self pain and him her. They gave each other comfort and a safe place.

I cried so much with learning about wrens story, she's is courage and self resilience and a kind and caring half fae with everything she had to go through. I'm glad about the ending. It healed everything in me.

This releases April 2026, third book in the errant reapers series.

Book Review: Mending of Wings (Errant Reapers, #3)
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
The Review:
First, a huge thank you to Haven Price for providing me with an ARC of Mending of Wings. This is the fourth story I’ve read in the Errant Reapers universe, and I’ve become such a fan of Haven’s writing that I’ve actually purchased physical "trophy" copies of the first two books for my shelves—which, as a picky physical book buyer, says a lot!
Returning to this world felt like coming home, and I have been vibrating with excitement for Aiden’s story. He has been my favorite MMC since the beginning, and seeing his journey of penance and healing was everything I hoped for.
Haven Price has a remarkable gift for writing trauma. She is incredibly thoughtful with her descriptions; she never feels exploitative, but she doesn't shy away from the reality of what her characters have endured. Seeing Wren—a character you can’t help but root for—slowly find her footing and start to heal alongside Aiden was deeply moving. Their connection felt earned, and the "broken souls finding light" trope was executed beautifully.
A few highlights:
The Romance: The chemistry and spice were spot on. It felt grounded in their emotional growth.
The Cameos: I loved seeing familiar faces from the previous books. It makes the Errant Reapers world feel so cohesive and alive.
The Themes: The idea that "the things that break easily are the most difficult to mend" resonates throughout the entire plot.
If you are a fan of Laura Thalassa or Shannon Mayer, you need this series on your TBR. While this can be read as a standalone, the world-building is so rich that you’ll want to dive into all of them. I’m already counting down the days until Book 4!

Devoured this in one sitting. Loved every single minute of it. Book three of the errant reaper series had me by a chokehold for sure, the way Aiden and wrens trauma held them, more Aiden gosh that poor man’s past and trauma has held him so tightly and for so long and we have seen that over the last two books but with this being his book haven really dived into it and we got the full view picture and she did it so well, represented it so well. The things grief and guilt can do to someone were represented very well. Ugh. Then wren our FMC. Her backstory is so rough as well, but the way she tried to move past it and forge a path for herself but also help Aiden move past his stuff was beautiful. And let me tell you the way she commanded that man in the bedroom and he just ate it up, I ate it up. It was sooo goood!!! I was like yes queen take back your power!! Yes!!! 🙌🏼 I loved seeing our babies Dimitrity and Olivia as well and them coming in and supporting wren no questions asked and giving Aiden fuss when he tried to hide her instead of leaning on his friends. But the way the embraced her and welcomed her like it was nothing warmed my soul. The way this group of friends fights for each other I loved. Even Mr. Gorilla of a man Soren. I just know he was delaying when he found a certain thing out. I can’t prove it but I just know he was. Granted the aftermath from the camp was not very nice I expected more out of half those men. Shame on them. Smh. Overall 10/10. I loved it so much. This was amazing. And this will be a great read for April it can be read as a standalone but I recommend the other two in the series first, but definitely go read!!

The Mending on Wings is the third book in the Errant Reapers series, and overall I enjoyed it although it does feel quite different in tone to the first two.

This is a shorter instalment, and I read it very quickly, but it definitely carries more emotional weight. It leans into darker themes, so I’d really recommend checking the trigger warnings before going in -they’re there for a reason.

As with the earlier books, the strength of the story is still very much in the characters and their relationships. I enjoyed being back with this world and seeing how things continue to unfold, particularly how the emotional consequences of previous events are explored here.

The pacing felt quite fast because of the length, which meant some moments hit quickly, but the intensity of the themes gives the story a different kind of depth. It’s less about big external action and more about what the characters are going through internally.

It didn’t quite have the same impact for me as the previous books, but I still found it engaging and appreciated how it pushes the story in a slightly darker direction.

A solid continuation of the series, and I’m still interested to see where it goes next.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The third instalment of a the trilogy ‘The Errant Reapers’, although each can be read as a stand-alone.

The story follows Aiden, our 130yr old bounty hunter who is drowning in grief, when he catches Wren who’s been through emotional and physical abuse.

The story gets emotional fast and I was worried about the trauma discussed in the book but author Haven Price dealt with it very delicately and the healing journey of both characters coming together is beautiful and soul destroying at the same time.

The chemistry between the characters is perfect, if you’ve read the first books you’ve been waiting for Aiden to get his chance at happiness and it’s very well done. The presence of past characters helps bring the story together and much like the other books there are elements of danger, yearning, grief and guilt. There isn’t as much banter as the first two books but the topic is a lot more daunting and it wouldn’t share the space well.

If you enjoy fast paced, dark contemporary fantasy with loveable characters (and the odd one you can hate), whether it be the whole trilogy that comes together perfectly or even just this one you should add this to your tbr.

Please read any trigger warnings before diving into this one!

Thank you to the author for this eARC that I got in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in the Errant reapers series.
In this book you get to know Aiden a bit better. As he captures his target he starts to suspect that everything is not what it seems. The woman, Wren, is injured and starving. As one tortured soul recognizes another, their lives becomes intertwined in the search for redemption and freedom.

It´s quite a nerve-racking story with some gruesome parts. At the same time it´s a love story. Not only about the love between two people but also how to accept and love yourself. Aside from that the book is full of action, mystery and complicated pasts. You get to know a bit more about the fae earthside but I would like more. There are hints, more in the previous book, but that is like a mystery lurking in the background. The relationship between Aiden and Wren is slow and complicated, with some spice. I think the relationship between the other characters are more interesting because, lets face it, the relationship between Aiden and Wren is predictable. The group dynamics and friendships on the other hand evolves in this book. There are several other characters that I´m also curious about and hope to learn more about in future books.

Angst, longing, a slow-burn romance, and just the right touch of spice—this story delivers it all beautifully. It follows two main characters, each shaped by very different past traumas, as they navigate a journey of connection, vulnerability, and healing. As they grow closer, they begin to break down each other’s walls, all while he strives to protect her from the shadows that still haunt her.
The dual POV is a real strength, allowing us to experience everything they feel but cannot bring themselves to say. This adds a layer of emotional depth that makes their relationship even more compelling and keeps you fully invested in their journey.
While the book explores dark and disturbing themes, they are handled with care and purpose. Rather than overwhelming the story, these elements deepen your connection to the characters, making you root for them even more as they fight to reclaim their lives and confront those who hurt them.
At its core, this is a deeply tender story about two wounded souls finding each other and learning how to heal, grow, and move forward—together.
I devoured it in one sitting and absolutely loved it.

Oh, Wren and Aiden!

I love when you finally get to a character in a standalone series that you’ve been waiting for and it’s everything you wanted/needed it to be! I first “met” Aiden in the earlier books in this series and immediately wanted his full story! His character is so heart-breaking yet you know he deserves ALL the good things!

Enter Wren! This poor woman has only known torture, imprisonment, and all the worst parts of humanity. When she finally escapes, she lands in none other than Aiden’s hands! He immediately recognizes that she’s not a criminal on the run and instead needs help that only he can give.

Throughout the story, we see how they grow — individually and together — and we get to see the strength that growth brings them both.

This story is not only about healing, growth and love though, it also has true friendships, side characters that you love and HOPE will have their own books later, and some good spice!

Wren and Aiden deserve all the love and happiness they eventually find together, but trust me when I say you want to see their journey to how they end up there!

I am loving this series. Aiden and Wren's story is so heartbreakingly sweet and beautiful. They are two broken souls healing each other and learning how to live with the wreckage of their past.

Wren's appreciation for the simple luxuries in life like making her own decisions, learning what food she likes and chosing her clothes help Aiden to see all the joy he's been denying himself for past 100 years. Wren brings Aiden back to life all while reclaiming her own and healing from the unimaginable trauma she has faced. Wren is such a strong, unassuming FMC, she was great to read.

Aiden's torment as he learns that moving on from his grief doesn't negate the love he feels for his wife and what they had when she was alive is so bittersweet. I loved that he finally gives himself permission to continue living instead of rotting in his memories and guilt.

ARC provided by Author

This story began with an action-packed and thrilling introduction, immediately captivating the reader. We meet the FMC during her escape attempt, while the MMC is the Reaper who has her bounty. The Mending of Wings serves as a beautiful metaphor for healing and personal growth for both of the main characters in this captivating narrative.
Wren and Aiden each have their own hurdles to jump over in their respective journeys to heal, and their backstories are heartbreaking and really make this worth the read. This story contains a few explicit scenes and trigger warnings, so please review them before reading. Overall, the story was a short, sweet, and heartfelt read.

Triggers that I’ve noted:
🔺Self harm
🔺Alcoholism
🔺Non Con encounter (not MMC)

I love all of the Reapers but oh have I had a soft spot for Aiden, he just mourns the loss of his wife Fiona for such a long time. Enter Wren, Aiden’s bounty, but all is not what it seems with her case and it’s not an easy in and out case. Wren has obviously been battered and Aiden cannot help but heal her. What will the others think? What will Wren do to escape the Fae that put a bounty on her? What actually happened to her? How will this impact Aiden going forward? This book was so good. Both main characters have trauma and trust issues, both have attraction to each other…. Now what? Haven always delivers with the Reapers series. Just the right amount of tension and spice. You’re in for an emotional roller coaster, but it’s worth the ride. We get to see some of the others and get background on Aiden and Wren and it will leave you never wanting to leave this world!

Thanks to Haven Price for the ARC.

This starts off strong — straight into the action with Wren trying to escape and Aiden as the one hunting her, which immediately pulls you in.

This is very much a story about healing, just wrapped up in angst, slow burn, and two people who have been through a lot. Both Wren and Aiden have some pretty heavy backstories, and it actually feels like that impacts how they act rather than just being there for drama.

The whole “mending” theme runs through everything — it’s very much about growth, trust, and figuring out how to move forward when you’ve been through the worst of it.

There are some heavier themes and a bit of spice, so definitely check triggers before going in.

Overall, a short, emotional read with that soft, healing core underneath all the angst.

Beyond amazing. I literally ate this up in one sitting. I’ve loved this series so much so far but I was so eager to learn more about Aiden and his past. I loved the way Aiden and Wren both had these heavy burdens from the terrible things that have happened to them and that they were able to bring each other comfort. The lengths Aiden went to tel help Wren heal and vice versa were truly remarkable. Aiden was of course characteristically grumpy as always but I learned so much about his character and it made so much of his behavior make sense. I loved that Wren never judged Aiden for his self h a r m ¡ n g behaviors but tried to be a safe haven for him. The spice in this was delicious and the journey Wren and Aiden took together was so beautiful. I’m also dying to find out more about Soren and his mysterious persona. This was amazing and I look forward to the next book!

The struggle is real with this one

I knew going in that this one was going to hurt, it's Aiden after all, but man, talk about tearing out your heart and stomping on it before shoving it back in. And I am here for every bit of pain this one caused my heart, because it was worth it.

I loved seeing the growth in Aiden in this, no matter how small it was, because it shows he's finally, albeit at a snail’s pace, moving in the right direction. And Wren, dear sweet Wren, I just want to wrap her up and give her all the love she deserves. I am not surprised by what she did at the end, that will definitely go a long way to helping her heal. And I'm so glad that they have each other. They both deserve it.

I'm very much looking forward to the next story in this series and the new Faeside series.

I loved this book so much!! It was deeply emotional and really tugged at my heart. It tackled some hard topics so make sure to check the trigger warnings.

I absolutely loved Wren. She was strong and so resilient. She had been broken down but refused to give up. I admired her grit and determination. It was great watching her grow and blossom as her strength returned.

I loved Aiden despite his flaws. He was so broken that my heart hurt for him. He put himself in a self exiled prison for things that were beyond his control. He came across as rough at first but he had such a good heart.

This was a great story and a highlight of the series. The writing really captivated me and I didn't want it to end. I loved spending time in the Reaper camp and I'm excited for more from this world!! I would definitely recommend it!!

I loved this book! It’s definitely become my favourite in the series! I loved being back in the world of the reapers! I could read so many books about them so keep them coming!!

It was so raw and emotional reading about Aidan’s backstory and how he has developed since! The portrayal of his trauma and how he tries to hide it was brilliantly written and so realistic! It really made me emotional reading about it! He’s such the grumpy MMC but a cinnamon roll for Wren! Two broken people coming together to mend each other! Stunning and emotionally devastating!

Wren was beautifully written! With her heartbreaking backstory! The way her development was full of growth but also grief and messy was so relatable!
I don’t think I’ve ever hated a character as much as I did josef!!! That ending was perfect in my opinion!!

This is the third book in the series and we return to the Errant Reaper camp where we learn more about the grumpy but complicated Aiden. After meeting him in the previous books it was great to see more of his backstory and the trauma behind his pain and grief. Then we meet Wren who is an absolute sweetheart despite her own traumatic history. I loved seeing their stories entwine and them finally getting their own slice of happiness.

I don't know what it is with these books, but they are so easy to read and I just can't put them down! They are emotional, adventurous, and romantic (with a little bit of spice thrown in). This one has a darker tone as the characters delve into their personal trauma's, so please remember to check the trigger warnings before diving in!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I knew going into this that it would be heart-wrenching—and it absolutely delivered.

Both the FMC and MMC carry deeply painful pasts, each for very different reasons, and it made their journeys all the more compelling. Aiden is the ultimate broody, grumpy man (and I loved every second of it), while Wren is pure sunshine—despite everything she’s been through. Her strength and light were just beautiful to read.

And the yearning… the slow burn… wow. It completely pulled me in. I was so invested that I devoured this book in record time.

Highly recommend if you love emotional depth, tension, and characters that stay with you long after the last page.

I just love Aiden and Wren!
Aiden is our grumpy bounty hunter MMC, holding onto 100 years of grief and guilt. Wren is his bounty, on the run from a lifetime of cruelty from the man her life was sold to.
The development of their dynamic is so fun, but heartbreaking learning each of their stories and their traumas. Each is met with compassion and understanding, adding layer after layer of emotional depth to the characters.
Secondary characters are all likeable (not you though, Josef) and the setting was perfect for the characters and the story being told.
This was my first step into the world of The Errant Reapers, but it certainly won’t be the last.

*** ARC Review ***

Absolutely loved Mending of Wings and finally reading all about the elusive Aiden! The twists and turns through out the book with Aiden and Wrens kept me guessing where they would end up.

With his dark and traumatic past my heart absolutely broke for Aiden and then along came Wren and I honestly couldn’t put the book down! This was a 24 hour read for me.

I would say read the trigger warnings before diving into this one as well.

The Errant Reapers series will be on my read again list for sure. Can’t wait to see where the rest of the series takes us. 100% recommend this series by Haven Price

This book, there was no putting it down once I started reading. It grabbed me from the first page and no matter what I needed to do, I needed to keep reading. This book moves along at a pace that is perfect for the flow of the story making for both an easy and enjoyable read. These characters, feel so real that you feel as though you have known them forever and no matter what happens you cannot help but love them. This book needs to be read, there is no doubt about it. You will not be disappointed.
