Did Not Finish

DNF 14% - this reads the same way as watching a movie with bad actors: it’s very obviously a book written by someone, and not a world you can get immersed in. there’s too much information that nyx seems to know without any indication as to HOW she knows that information (example: shes calling the main guys the Prince’s before that title is ever established for any of them, she uses all their last names before we even meet them, etc.). it doesn’t help that there are major timeline inconsistencies that make it confusing. she wakes up, gets breakfast, goes to her first class, goes to her second class, and then for her third class one of the men is thinking about knowing her in terms of days, not hours. she’s also acting like she’s been learning things over these days, but there’s no indication the first day actually ended. a quick look shows this series was published in its entirety in a very short time frame, which tells me either a) it was never edited properly or reviewed by external sources like beta readers before publishing, and/or b) there was AI usage to expedite the timeline for release.
My advice: get a couple of beta readers and make adjustments. There’s potential, but it was not ready to release.

Tons of potential!

This was a good read, if you're willing to be patient with the amount of descriptive language..
I liked the premise, and the characters, also the world building was interesting.
But it could have really been edited down 100 pages.
The descriptions of their individual powers, and how they behave, as well as how they interact with each other, kind of bogged down the story.
I would have preferred more action, then description.
More relationship drama, and less power drama.
