A marriage that never quite settles, yet fits together perfectly, like an expensive red wine that somehow pairs with tamarind and salt. Love that is no longer just sweetness, but standing by each other on the days one of you is being ridiculous. Jealousy that does not destroy. Apologies without shame. Choosing each other again and again, even through daily quarrels. A high-society queen and her rustic wife, worlds apart, yet no one understands her better than the person least like her. Their love is not soft. It is fiery, stubborn, and intensely passionate. They love like adults who truly know each other, bicker like kindergarteners, and make up with a tenderness that feels lifelong. And they love so openly they have never once thought to hide it.
A nice short read showing us life after several years of marriage for Si and Klao. I really like these kinds of stories, where we can feel like the characters are alive and living their best lives beyond the pages.
This special is a lot of lovely fluff but also Si's jealousy finally gets addressed. I was definitely a bit worried when the first chapter came on strong with her crazy levels of jealousy, but by the end you get to see her mellow out (mostly).
