Series finale from the summer MC hit!

From the world of Carolina Bad Boys and Retribution MC, this bad boy biker likes to be in control, and he’s ready to take what he wants.

Coletrane:

Her name is Sinclair Chatham. Sin. That’s exactly what she is—walking, talking, in the flesh sin. She’s haughty, privileged, so goddamn starlet sexy, with an ass I want to grab and spank raw.

I want her to give herself over to me. I want her to lose that polished princess veneer. I want to strip away the money, the manicures, the maids, the immaculate façade.

I need her to be mine. But I’m a grunt. A biker. A tattoo artist. I’m blue collar all the way, and her family will probably shit bricks if they ever meet me.

Not to mention, I’m running from a bad past that’s about to catch up with me.

Sinclair:
I would never go for Cole in a million years. He’s gruff, rough around the edges—and covered in ink. He’s unapologetic, demanding, and sometimes scary as hell. He tells me what he wants, how he wants it, and why he’s going to ruin me for all other men.

Coletrane destroys my vanity, gets inside my head while he gets into my bed, and I can’t say no to him. He’s not what I expected—tender at times, taking no prisoners at others. He breaks me down, builds me up.

He is not my type.

They say opposites attract, and they’re right. I just didn’t expect him to turn my cushy life upside down and inside out. But it’s too late, and someone’s going to get hurt.

Warning: Graphic sex, graphic action, graphic language. Triple X caution.

Coletrane Sawyer, and Sinclair Chatham were a combustible pair, igniting the air surrounding them. On their first meeting sparks were flying and the sexual tension was strangling. These two gave each other a run for their money. Cole had non, Sin had too much.

Growing up rich and privileged; daughter to an illustrious, hot shot lawyer, and her mother an old money heiress. Sinclair knows her way around money. At twenty-six, Sin runs the Fairley-Chatham Foundation. A charitable organisation that focuses on helping the sick. A philanthropist by nature and nurture, Sin knows how to get what she wants.

Meeting Sinclair Chatham within the Retribution MC, she looked more than out of place. But the woman had the attitude of an MC old lady. She chewed then up and spitted them out, politely as her inherent good breathing permitted. Rich, privileged and haughty, with a saucy attitude, there was no doubt that she caught the attention of Coletrane.

Coletrane Sawyer, Retribution MC brother, a.k.a College. He grew up tough and had a hard life. Living and learning through his bad mistakes, getting in with the wrong crowd, abusing drugs, and surviving through the death of his sister. Where his mother was once a hardworking and lovable woman, now a shell of what she once was. Suffering from a sort of psychosis from the shock of her daughter's death. An extreme form of PTSD. Cole keeps her at a care facility and visits her weekly. She doesn't even know him as her son. Only a nice young man that visits her. Cole lives with sadness and the regret of his bad decisions daily. Working at Inksanity as a tattoo artist, Cole keeps himself busy behind a needle, the MC bar or between the legs of a woman.

They say opposites attract, but with this pair. They didn't just attract, they ignited. Two halves to a whole. Dancing around each other, until Cole's darker side wants to come out to play. And there's only one hot little number, that's calling his name. Both like being in control. Both will have to decide when to give in, and both will relish in the pleasure of submitting.

Everything within Cole kept telling him to stay away from Sinclair. She was way out of his league. She screamed money, he had non. She came from a high society lifestyle, he was running from a bad past, living day to day. Cole sweared Sin off of him. Attempting to keep her at arms length, but with her hanging around the MC and wearing little to nothing, Cole's inner beast unleashed itself. Publicly claiming Sinclair. Making sure all his brothers know, she is his.

I loved the way Cole simply claimed Sin, as much as he tried, and with her saucy attitude, there was no doubt that the sexy little minx wasn't getting away. And with Cole's ooo laa la bedroom skills, and soft BDSM tendencies, Sin got more than she bargained for. Not that she was complaining.

When Cole's past starts to catch up to him, he knows he must reveal his daunting past to Sinclair. What he didn't know, was the strength that Sin would give him. She would be his support when he couldn't stand himself. She nurtured him and built him up. Taking care of his mother and showering her with love. The love of a lost daughter.

Their happiness is short lived, when Cole's past starts to catch up to him. Baring their ugly heads at and disrupting both their lives, putting Sin in danger, and infuriating her family. Cole must now fight for Sin. Fight his own demons, fight to keep her, and fight for her.

This is the last in Rie Warren's Bad Boy series, and my emotions are bittersweet. I feel as if I am going to miss out on all these guys lives. Ms.Warren created a masterful cast, with aptly suited women for these men. Portraying all their strengths and vulnerabilities, showcasing their fears and their happiness, giving them all happily ever afters. Each book, gave us small updates on the previous couple, while streaming the current story. Hunter, our head honcho, and from book 1, became a father figure within the series. Always guiding the men and looking out for the MC. Coletrane was the perfect ending to the series and I'm still so very sad that it's all ending. But cudos to Ms. Warren and her writing capabilities. I may stalk you from here on. Just letting you know upfront.

I’m both very sad and ecstatic that Coletrane by Rie Warren has been released! It’s the final book in the Bad Boys of Retribution MC series and I’ve been dying to read about Cole—needing to know his story. And, holy hell, does he meet his match Sinclair Chatham!

Cole is trying to put his past behind him— trying to keep his past buried. He’s not proud of what he’s done to survive, and he sure as hell doesn’t want anything or anyone from that time to come calling. Cole’s looking toward the future—one that hopefully includes Sin naked in his bed most of the time. Now he just needs to work on breaking down her walls—something he’ll relish every moment of trying.

Sinclair has grown up in a life of privilege. She’s wanted for nothing material—and she has a job she loves. But now she’s looking out for herself and what SHE wants. And it’s Cole. Lord knows he’s not her normal type, but she just can’t say no to him. Nor does she want to.

When they say “opposites attract,” Cole and Sin’s picture is there next to it as an example. But oh my goodness, do these two have amazing chemistry. Their witty banter, simple glances, and oh, so sexy scenes (*note: have a fan and a change of panties ready*) make this my favorite book out of the series.

I loved Cole and Sin separate and together. Add in the rest of the Bad Boys of Retribution MC and there are some laugh out loud moments too. But, alas, all good things come to an end…though, I don’t think this is the end of snippets from this series. Ms. Warren is writing Boomer’s book after all… ~ Missy, 5 stars

~~~
I’m the first to admit that I have it BAD for the Bad Boys of Retribution MC. No shame in this game. And Coletrane? Well, I’ve been on the COLE train since his first appearance in Rie Warren’s books. Because YUM! Am I right? Yes, yes I am…
Sinclair Chatham is way outta Coletrane Sawyer’s league. She’s money; refined, privileged, so beautiful it should be crime. He’s bad news; biker, tattoo artist, dominating bad boy with a bad, bad past.
And when that past comes back to wreak havoc on their lives, Cole gotta to do what he’s gotta do to protect the girl that’s too good for him…even if that means walking away.
WHEW, that’s quite the series ender!! Coletrane is the one I’ve been waiting for—I think I might have bugged everyone that would listen about wanting this man since the start of Summer, and this series. Because he’s such a contradiction. All Probie-good on the outside, doing the grunt work without complaint, being there for his friends as they’ve each rockily navigated their way to happily ever after, and just generally seeming like a good guy. Except…Probie 1.0 has a past and it ain’t pretty. Oh, and a demanding, domineering streak that’s also not pretty, but sure is sexy.
This couple were ELECTRIC together. In terms of their bedroom action, I think they may just be the hottest, dirtiest, sexiest of the bunch—and this was one hot, dirty, sexy bunch of Bad Boys. Until Cole and the sexy-as-sin Sin (whose physical description, I must say, was killer—I had the BEST visual of this chick, and woo-boy, I liked it) got it together, I kind of struggled with Coletrane. Which was a weird-as-hell experience, because with Ms. Warren’s work, that has never happened to me. But there just something about their pre-fuck banter that wasn’t quite working for me. However, when they got there, OMFG, it was fantastic.
There was humor, sass, teasing and drama out the wazoo, which is just the way I like it, and adding that to the aforementioned scorching sexy times, meant that Coletrane was another brilliant installment in a series that I am frankly not happy about seeing come to an end. Thank goodness that this series ending means that Ms. Warren can go back to the other Bad Boys I have it B.A.D. for…the Carolina Bad Boys. Bring on Boomer! ~ Beth, 4.5 stars
My Review:
Coletrane is one of the most erotic romance books I recall reading. I am talking atomic mushroom cloud haaawwt. Oh my! It required a steady flow of cool drinks to replenish body fluids and maintain proper hydration. It brought a satisfying and fun conclusion to the Bad Boys of Retribution series, although I am in mourning to see this steamy, action packed series of quirky characters come to an end. Ms. Warren’s writing never fails to entertain with her odd and unusual alpha characters, smart and feisty females, humorous interchanges, and passionate and sensual love stories. Her writing is smooth, involving, touching, naughty, full of invectives, and sizzling hot. I am curious and eager to see what and who she has planned for her next project.
This is the fifth book I read from Rie Warren (RW). Last July I started with “Steele: Into Your Heart” which is book 3 from the Carolina Bad Boys (CBB). I hadn’t read books from RW yet and since this one spoke to me and it was on sale on Amazon a few months earlier I bought it. I was immediately in love with her writing style and characters. It’s been a few months and I have read so many books since so I’m not sure why but after this book I dived directly into the Bad Boys of Retribution (BBOR) MC series instead of finishing the CBB series. I guess because Brodie STEELE is the VP of the BBOR and his brother Boomer the Prez and I wanted to read more about their MC. I hadn’t yet started writing reviews at that moment so I can’t check. Anyway the first 3 books of the BBOR series were read within a few days and I loved all 4 books of RW. So book 4 Coletrane was pre-ordered immediately …
Again it took some time but I finally had time to read Coletrane. We have already met him in the first 3 books as Probie even though he was already a full member and I really really liked him. In this book he finally gets a road name which is College. He is determined to stay single and has succeeded until he gets introduced to smart, driven, loyal, sassy socialite Sin. Cole likes to control in the bedroom even though he doesn’t call himself a Dom. He had a hard life growing up (money issues, dead of sister, drugs, bad friends, …). But still he managed to grow up to a good young man but he doesn’t see his own worth. He keeps on thinking he’s not good enough for Sin but just can’t let her go.
The story isn’t that original and in this book there is less suspense then the others but I still liked it very much! What I like about her books too is that you keep meeting characters from her previous books and see how their lives proceed.
I will read the other books from the CBB as soon as book 4 "Chrome" is available (which I pre-ordered).
For those who haven’t read the books yet … what are you waiting for? They are still on sale on Amazon!
Bad Boys of Retribution series : 1 – HUNTER / 2 – KINKAID / 3 – BO / 4 - COLETRANE
Carolina Bad Boys series : 1 – STONE / 2 – LOVE / 3 – STEELE -> Brodie Steele, VP of the BBOR / 4 – CHROME -> Boomer Steele, Prez of the BBOR
-> Box set with the first 3 books of CBB is still on sale on Amazon, GO GO GO and get it! Book 4 can be pre-ordered and is still on a reduced price!
It’s no secret that I wasn’t overly in love with the previous two books in this series, but I have enjoyed this author’s books so I decided I was going to go ahead and finish reading the last book in the series. Let me tell you, within the first few pages I knew that this one was making up for the previous ones that sort of let me down.
Coletrane is fucking HOT! Like change your panties multiple times, reaching for your significant other for some loving HOT. What I also loved more than just his sexiness was that deep inside that tough chain wearing, tattooed, bad boy biker, he was emotional, sweet, and in his own emotional pain. He will surprise you more than once, but let me make something perfectly clear. Just because he has that sweet emotional side, it does not take away from even one millimeter of his hotness.
Sin is Cole’s perfect match in my opinion. He needed the sass and feistiness that she brings, but he also needed the way she continues to show him that he is worthy of her even when he has doubts. I loved Sin’s character, she may have been a rich girl but she didn’t act like she was better than anyone. For me to love a female character as much as I loved Sin is rare.
We get to see the whole Retribution game throughout the book and I loved a certain surprise party at the end. I can actually picture everything that happened. Overall this one was my favorite of the series, it had me smiling, laughing, hot and bothered, emotional and last but not least I didn’t want to put it down. Rie Warren saved the best for last with Coletrane and I loved every single word.
Coletrane is a new member of the Retribution MC. He's a level-headed college grad, working as a tattoo artist, and trying to keep his past at bay.
Then he meets Sinclair Chatham, sexy socialite he should steer quite clear of--but he can't and it's bringing him a world o' hurt.
Sin, as he calls her, is a good girl who likes it bad. She's headstrong and heartstrong and sure she can tame Cole's inner beast, but Cole's brand of lovin'--BDSM of a fashion--is as intoxicating as his sultry voice.
Cole's past isn't pretty. He ran around with the wrong folks, and had little direction from his mom who was always looking for the next big take. He barely survived when his sister OD'ed. His mom had a mental breakdown, and he's been shouldering a lot of blame over the past several years. Between Cole and Sin the heat is intense. He's falling hard and fast for this strong woman, but her dad isn't best pleased--and his former friends see Sin as a gravy train they'd like to skim.
As with all the other Retribution books, we get the men of Retribution MC coming together for a tense showdown, the hero being a real hero, and so much sexytimes it's a guaranteed HEA. I liked how Cole took Hunter's advice and put his degree to real use, and made amends over his past at the same time. It was also cool that everything didn't work out perfectly for Cole, keeping it real for us readers. Sin is the sexiest and most forward of all the gals bound to Retribution men, so far. Her daring was fun to experience.
As the last book in this series I was expecting big things, maybe I had built it up a bit to much with expectation and it left me a little disappointed and wanting more. Not sure how to explain it though. I mean it had all the usual parts to make it great but fell a bit flat.
Cole went on how dominate he was so I was looking forward to seeing that but again not what I'd call a real dominate.
I liked Cole and Sin together I thought they made a great pair. We got to see the Retribution men throughout the book which I loved and the ending was pretty good.Overall an ok read and finish to the series.
I am HUGE Rie Warren fan!! I have read of the Bad Boys of Retribution MC books as well as the Carolina Bad Boy books. They are awesome! In fact Rie Warren was my first introduction into MC romance books and I haven't looked back since. Sinclair (Sin) is anything but your typical MC Old Lady. She is wealthy and well-bred. All of the things that Coletrane (Cole) isn't. He has had a hard life, everything from getting in with the wrong crowd to abusing drugs, and surviving through the death of his sister.
These two don't just attract one another they explode! While they couldn't be more different it those differences that make them whole together. Cole's past of course comes back to haunt him and Sin's family has issues. However Sin is a very strong woman and she knows what she wants. This is hte last book in the Bad Boys of Retribution MC which makes me sad because this series has been one of the best. If you are looking for a bad boy who deep down has a good heart that just needs the strength and love of a strong woman then Coletrane is the book for you!
**JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**
First we all need to bow our heads for a moment of silence for the Bad Boys of Retribution MC. This is a sad day for me and I am sure will be for many fans as well. Coletrane is the final book in the Bad Boys of Retribution MC and I am both sad and thrilled that I was able to get my hands on it. I have been waiting for EVERRRRRRR to read Cole’ story. There was just something about this character that screamed JOSIE this is your MAN. Holy Guacamole was this book all that and a bag of chips, with a side of tequila!!!
Rie Warren gives readers everything in this book from hilarity, feistiness, banter and of course what MC book would be without drama. If you’ve followed the series you know Cole is one very controlled man in EVERYTHING – so yeah the sex scenes where CRAZY HAWT!!! Cole is everything I look for in a man. I love me a good bad boy! Throw in some gentleness, dominance and tattoos I’M DONE FOR!
Cole has not always done what was right. He has made mistakes when he was younger being unfocused and dealing with family problems. All Cole wants to do is keep the past where it is, in the past. He is not happy about his choices back then. Cole is a probie (prospect) for the Bad Boys of Retribution. He has a family and friends and is finally happy. That is until he sees Sinclair aka Sin walk into the bar. She is hot, sophisticated, elegant and has every man foaming at the mouth including him. Cole knows Sin is way out of his league after all he is a tattooed biker with a past that will make all of the upper class society run away. You know the saying – Opposites attract – this right here is the perfect example.
Sin was nothing at all what you would expect from a well privileged person. She was not selfish or self-centered. Sin works for what she has and she works hard. She heads up charity events and she does not judge anyone. For all the ways Cole found not to be with her she rose to each and every one of them.
Cole and Sin were captivating. Their connection was so palpable I felt it through the pages. Cole’s constant need to keep Sin away from him wore on me after a while. His feelings were quite clear and the constant back and forth banter was exciting. When Cole finally has enough and goes for what he wants, OMG!!! I have read a lot of Hot MC books, but this was just WOOZA!!! I found that those scenes where the hottest, dirtiest and freakiest I have read from this series. I think I found that part of their story powerful, because of their connection to one another. They communicated openly to one another and expressed their wants and desires it was only natural that the intimacy would be the same.
When Cole’s past comes back to haunt him and threaten the woman that means everything to him he must decide how much more his past will rule his life. When you love a person as much a Cole does Sin what are you willing to sacrifice to keep them safe? When Sin learns Cole’s past will she walk away for good or will she be with the man Cole is today?
I am sad to see this series go. I’m just not ready to say goodbye but Rie Warren ended this the way she started it, with a bang! I am glad that she gave readers Cole’ story last because the story was fitting and worthy of this final chapter. When a writer can make a reader fall in love with fictional characters and make you feel every emotion they go through you just can’t stop reading. I can’t wait to see what this author will bring readers next.
I have enjoyed this series so much, I have to say I'm sorry that this is the last book in the series.
Cole and Sin are from very different backgrounds and live very different lives. Cole has found a home with his MC brothers after leading a life of drugs and crime. He spends his time hanging at the clubhouse and giving tattoos at the shop he works at. He looks for random hookups with girls who let him be in control.
Sinclair has lived a life of wealth and prosperity because of her family's name and fortune. She would never normally be in a situation where she would meet or be attracted to someone like Cole, but her friend must've known what she was doing when she chose to introduce them. She sees past his bossy attitude and knows there's a tender and caring person hiding underneath the rough exterior he's built around himself. They're physically attracted to each other instantly, but he doesn't think she could be the kind of girl that he needs.
She ends up proving she's exactly who he needs. He realizes that she's not some snobby princess who thinks shes above everyone else. She may have money, but it doesn't define who she is inside. Cole finds himself caring about her and opening up to her more than he's ever wanted to with anyone else. But deep inside he knows he's not good enough for her, and it's proven to him when people from his past intrude into his present life and put Sin in danger. It takes a stern "talking to" from one of his MC brothers to finally make him realize that he does deserve her and the love that she's brought to his life. Then it's just up to him to fight for what he wants; which is exactly what Sin wants him to do. She doesn't care what her parents, or society thinks, she just wants him to stand up and love her.
Their story is sweet and loving, but also super hot and sexy. Cole's the perfect dirty talking dominating alpha in the bedroom...or wherever they happen to be. He's able to set free Sin's wild side that she didn't know she even had. They don't let the obstacles that would threaten to separate them get in their way. They hold on to each other and that way they can survive anything.
Coletrane (Bad Boys of Retribution #4)
Rie Warren
5 stars
This is a great series of MC men and unfortunately the last. BOOOOO! But on the bright side that gives us an opportunity to wait for another round of goodness from Ms. Warren. The entire series is FREE on Kindle Unlimited. If I were you I would grab all of them up in one big click.
Cole is one of the newer MC brothers and trying to leave some of not so great choices behind. In fact his past is pretty dark. His life growing up wasn’t all that great and he screams badass the minute he walks in the room. I love that as you know! Cole fought his way out of drugs, running with corruption and the death of his sister. His mother suffers from PTSD from the death of her daughter and doesn’t know who Cole is. Those demons hit him hard. Cole is keeping his nose to the grind and working at Inksanity. Sinclair is NOT the type of woman that needs to be pushing her way around in his life. He has told her to bolt but she refuses. Sin has no idea what she is asking for growing up in a privileged life she doesn’t know the first thing about finding the dark places you shouldn’t go.
Sinclair is 26 and runs Fairley-Chatham Foundation. She has grown up with a silver spoon in her mouth but she isn’t snotty; she is gritty and will put a grown ass man in his place in a hot second. Refusing to walk away from Cole, Sin is put in the direct line of fire from Cole’s past. Danger is near and its coming for her.
These two are one hot sexy time of delight. I mean wowza. Rie has out done herself on this one. The dynamics of these two is simply off the charts. Each of the Retribution books are stand alones. You can read one and not the others but I wouldn’t do it. These men deserve your attention. Go grab them up and get to reading. I hope this is NOT the last we see of our guys from Mt. Pleasant.
Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets on release day. I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.
Way back when the Coletrane, aka Probie, character was first introduced, I had my doubts about the boy. Yes, boy. Don't know why I had the impression of him being young as in a teenager. Boy was I wrong. Probie is all man. YOWZA! Coletrane is hot sex on a stick. That's not to say he doesn't have his issues, which some of them are real tearjerkers. And a tat artist... oh I am in love! Then there's Sinclair. If it looks and walks like a socialite, then think snob. Hold up here, she may look like, and actually be one, but snob is far from what Sin is. She is more than a match for Cole and definitely what he needs to sooth his soul.
Put these two together and you have sizzling hot fire. But that's not all, you have a great opposites attract romance filled with high energy, hot bikers and twisty moments that kept my riveted from cover to cover. I love a story that can not only make me laugh but can bring me to tears as well. Coletrane did both. But that's not all. This highly entertaining story brought back all my favorite characters from the series and showed another side of them. If only they all got their own stories. Throw in some intrigue, sexy bikers, lots of seriously hot sex and this reader was a very happy camper.
Ms. Warren has outdone herself! Coletrane was the perfect ending for the Bad Boys of Retribution MC series. Not only was it the perfect ending, it HAD a perfect ending. I don't think I stopped smiling through the epilogue, which just kept coming and coming. Yeah baby! I love it when authors wrap up series in nice neat bows although, in this case it would be more along the lines of chains and handcuffs. Now for the hard part... trying to figure out what to read next.
I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.
From word one Cole stole my heart.
Yes, he's big, bad and yummy. But Cole is so much more than that.
I love that the author also gave him a huge heart. Sometimes in MC books the heart is hidden until well into the story. Not so with Cole. From first meeting him in an earlier installment of this series, I knew there was something just a little different about Cole.
He's a little softer, more caring. He's sensitive and (gasp: Dare I say it?) a little sweet. Cole doesn't bother to hide the fact that he cares about his fellow club members and respects them. But Cole is also deliciously hard in all the perfect places.
We find him patched into the club as a full member, but his place is behind the bar and Cole doesn't mind slinging drinks and washing glasses. He always has a birds eye view of all the crazy things that go on in the club house.
The night that Sadie brings Sinclair into the house, Cole wishes that maybe his view hadn't been so unimpeded.
Sinclair is gorgeous; stunning. And wealthy.
The second they meet, the attraction is instant and demanding. Cole knows that it can only lead to bad things.
He calls her Sin and she wants him. Yes, there are huge differences between their worlds, but somehow, someway, Sinclair is going to get Cole to see that she's more than just a pretty face and a spoiled rich girl. She's not used to being the pursuer, but for Cole, she'll pull out all the stops.
When Cole's dangerous past begins to infringe on his present-threatening the future that could be. Cole has to make some really hard decisions.
I love this series and I thank Rie Warren for bringing us such a well written series full of lovable characters that will stay with us for a while.
And I loved the crazy kitty too.
5 Star Review
I was given this book for a honest review
This is the fourth and final book in the Bad Boys Of Retribution MC Series and I have to say that even though I was excited to read Cole's story I'm sad its the end of the series.
Cole is not looking for a girlfriend but that all changes when Sinclair walks into the club. Sparks fly as soon as their eyes meet and suddenly dirty thoughts about Sin start popping into his head ...
Everyone at the club spots that he is going down that slippery road of Love well everyone except him.
Sinclair is the complete opposite of Cole she comes from a wealthy family, runs the family business and is only used to guys wanting her for either her money or what her name can do for them .....
She has a instant attraction to the tattooed bad boy with a attitude.
Trouble seems to follow Cole around and the last thing he wants is for Sinclair (Sin) to be involved with his troubled past.
Can two people from opposite sides of the track make it work
“Sinclair Chatham, you’re like the ink on my skin, deep, indelible, indescribable. Forever. I can’t look at you without wanting you. Can’t think about you without wanting to be with you.”
“You can be a garbage man, a custodian, you can be the f… next President of the United States and none of that matters. I love you, you stubborn, ignorant man. And whatever you decide to do, I know you’ll be damn good at it.”
I love these two quotes and to me they sum up Cole and Sins love for each other.
This book has so much going for it. Opposites finding Love, Twists and turns from the past, hot steamy sex and sadly the last book in a great series.
Quite frankly, I've been waiting for Coletrane basically since Steele, and that was a long, long time ago, but I did kind of get crushin' on the Probie, the newest member of the MC at the time, who was always calm, always cleanin', giving good advice and lending a helping hand. Of course, Cole is a lot more than that, as it turns out. The guy has a past that is less than stellar, low expectations about life and somewhat especific requirements in bed.
Given that situation, the boy's reaction when introduced to Sinclair, a bonafide 'uptown girl' who doesn't look one bit like she belongs at an MC or likes to be adventurous in the sack is to do the right thing and send her packing. Too bad she's a lot more than pale blonde hair, red lips and a chauffeur at the door.
All in all, Cole was a lot different than I expected, but not in a bad way, at all. First of all, I still love the boy to death, and I did love Sin too - just not to death xD I also liked that the action - the real one, not that - occupies less of the narrative than in other books like Steele, Bo or Hunter.
As for the other action... it's undoubtedly of the erotic kind, but not the kind you'd see in a freebie romance novel, and it's not the very shocking, violent kind either. It is also written with tons of class, so I approve.
Finally, I have to say that I loooved the outcome on this one - all of it. It's a perfect 10, in my book!
This is the fourth and final book in the Bad Boys of Retribution MC series.
Opposites attract or so they say and it definitely fits Coletrane and Sinclair’s relationship. Cole isn’t the settling down type, not at all. His focus is working at the tattoo parlour and earning his patch at the MC. His past is a shady one but one he dragged himself out of, distancing away from his old gang his life is now looking good. But then Sin walked into the club and his carefully laid out intentions get shot in the foot! This high class woman was in the wrong place but that didn’t stop him having an intense need to protect and claim her.
Sin is a society princess, she comes from a privileged home life but takes a walk on the dark side. When she walks into the MC with her best friend she knew that with one look from Coletrane she was done for. With his muscles and his tats and his cocky attitude she didn’t stand a chance.
This was a great mix of lusty passion, a smidgen of angst and a touch of suspense. This is a light and entertaining MC read and not as gritty as some others but these are good guys trying to do right. Unfortunately trouble always seems to find them and try to lead them astray from their good intentions.
Overall a captivating and titillating hot read! 3.5/4 stars
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
I was so excited to finally get to his story. It was emotional and sexy. Cole is a pretty simple man. He was fighting the demons of his past and the guilt he's harbored for years. He didn't think he deserved to be happy.
When he sees Sinclair (Sin) he knows she is way out of his league, with the high class way about her. Just looking at her he knows she comes from money. She was everything he wasn't. He was no good for her. Can they find happiness while being so completely opposite?
I loved getting a look at what makes Cole tick. This is definitely the sexiest read of the bunch.
I had mixed feelings on reading Coletrane. Realizing that this is the end of the Retribution Series. I didn't expect to love this series as much as I did. Each book (guy) was different, sexy and exciting to read. I will be looking for more from Rie Warren.
Five freaking stars for Coletrane. It is hands down my favorite in this series.
“Your heart is what attracted me to you. Your fierceness. Your absolute maleness.”
I think Rie Warren saved the best for last. I love the other books in the Bad Boys of Retribution MC series, but Coletrane holds a special place in my heart.
Cole isn't looking for a girlfriend, isn't looking to settle down. But he didn't count on meeting Sinclair. Because the instant their eyes meet, sparks are flying and dirty thoughts are running through his head.
I love a good opposites attract story and Coletrane is one of my favorites. Not only did these two set the sheets ablaze but they connected out of the bedroom too. Cole found acceptance with Sinclair. And she found someone who loved her for her, not her money.
As for the sex scenes, they were blazing HOT!!! I recommend sitting in front of a fan while reading this.
All in all, if you like MC books, I recommend giving Rie Warren's books a try.
4 COLETRANE STARS
This is one HOT read. Packed with passion, this story revolves around Coletrane- the fairly newly patched in member of Retribution MC, and Sinclair Chatham, a gorgeous, well heeled socialite who drives a Trans Am and rocks Cole's world. The chemistry between these two is off the wall. I have to say this was my least favourite of the series and I think it was because it took me a while to warm up to these two. Having said that, there were parts of the book that made my heart ache for Cole, especially when he visits his Mum. His backstory is well written and makes our brooding biker seem more vulnerable. Cole is definitely the dark horse of the group.
Sorry to see this series end. Ms Warren is on my list of one click authors for sure.
Book 4 in Rie Warren's series about the Retribution MC is one seriously fast, sexy ride! I think after Hunter, Cole might be my next favorite bad boy. He deals with the baggage of his hard life and bad decisions like a man, he's hard and confident in some ways and vulnerable and insecure in others. Then, he meets Sinclair...enough said. And any man who treasures his mother the way Cole does his, well, it's a true testament to the kind of man he really is.
I have truly enjoyed this series and getting to know this cast of characters, I'm thrilled to know the author plans more stories for them and has a whole other spin off series...on to the X-OP team!
Thanks again Rie Warren, this one was so good I couldn't put it down.
Hot d*mn
Cole has been a mystery from the beginning but oh my how well he was unraveled. His Sin was nothing but a prissy rich girl that he thought would never dirty herself with the likes of him. Boy was he wrong, she not only dirtied herself for him and with him but made him see what it meant to love someone and be loved. His graduation from the academy and all the little goodies at the end gave them the perfect HEA
good read
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and the characters. Sun and coke were great together and their differences worked so well even if he couldn’t see it. Loved the MC, romance and the humour. Great to see the start of Frankie and Preston and there’s a couple that I love. Sad it’s the last one but hopefully the author might do a novella of catch up in the future. Highly recommend
Other than the characters themselves this book wasn’t my favorite of the 4. Still a great book, don’t get me wrong. I loved it. The others just stand out louder for me. Hunter, Bo mostly, then Kinkaid & then Coletrane.
Now that I’ve read these I’m 50/50 wanting to read the Carolina boys. I definitely wouldn’t mind reading the X-Ops guys especially Walker at some point.
Thank-You
This instalment was so good. Coletrane and Sinclair are polar opposites and the sparks between them are sizzling. Under Coletrane's tough exterior is a man looking for a good relationship and has his sights set on Sinclair. He is everything she should stay away from but can't. Read it.
La serie spin off Bad Boys of Retribution MC di Rie Warren è giunta al termine e il protagonista questa volta è Coletrane, conosciuto meglio come Probie. Lui è la matricola e come tale, prima di guadagnarsi la giacca con lo stemma del club, deve fare un pò di gavetta, i classici lavoretti come le pulizie del luogo di ritrovo, stare dietro al bar e servire da bere.
Per ben tre libri, Coletrane ha visto i suoi compagni diventare membri ufficiali del club, il suo turno è finalmente arrivato e da Probie (il suo nickname), gli è stato assegnato un soprannome più serio, College. Tuttavia le sue mansioni non sono cambiate, è ancora il barista del gruppo!
Quando non sta insieme ai suoi compagni, lavora presso uno studio di tatuaggi. Sono la sua passione, tanto che quando i clienti gli chiedono di mostrare il book, lui si toglie la maglietta, il suo corpo è ricoperto di tatuaggi straordinari.
Quando le viene presentata Sinclair, qualcosa in lui cambia. E' visibilmente attratto, e chi non lo sarebbe con quelle curve e la chioma fluente? Peccato che lei non c'entri nulla con il suo mondo, si capisce subito dagli abiti e dal modo di fare che proviene da una famiglia benestante, abituati a considerare i biker pericolosi e scarti della società.
Cerca di allontanarla ma un bacio rubato scatena in lui un desiderio irrefrenabile, la ragione sulle prime ha la meglio ma la forza di volontà non è così irreprensibile. Coletrane ha dei gusti ben precisi in camera da letto, controllo, giochi per il piacere e per il dolore, Sinclair sembra adattarsi come un guanto alle sue pratiche sessuali. Turbato da come si senta a suo agio insieme a lei, decide di accettare una relazione a lungo termine, a dispetto di come si è sempre comportato con le altre avventure.
Coletrane, come tutti i bad boy che si rispetti, ha un passato oscuro e pericoloso, non volendo coinvolgere Sinclair nei suoi guai, dovrà proteggerla da se stesso. Ci riuscirà ?
Coltrane, ha preso di diritto l'ultimo posto rimasto tra i protagonisti del Retribution Mc series. Lo abbiamo visto far capolino in ogni libro, lasciando sempre una scia di mistero intorno a lui, che mi ha incuriosita non poco. Però devo dirlo... non sono rimasta per nulla contenta di questo romanzo. Rie Warren ha scelto un genere letterario che è facilmente vittima di stereotipi e ad alto rischio di noia. Se non si rende tutto sempre avvincente e intrigante, si tende a annoiare il lettore, portandolo addirittura a non concludere nemmeno il romanzo. Io l'ho letto tutto, a scopo di recensione e perché tutto sommato ero curiosa di conoscere il finale. Mi permetto di dire che si poteva fare di meglio.
La scrittrice è scivolata fragorosamente in qualche luogo comune e, la presenza di sesso anale, non è stata particolarmente gradita dalla sottoscritta. Non sono né pudica né puritana, mi cimento spesso e volentieri in letture ad alto tasso erotico dove il sesso viene esplorato a 360 gradi. Ritengo che la suddetta pratica, in questo caso, sia stata abusata a discapito della trama.
Il pov maschile a senso unico, non ha permesso di conoscere meglio il personaggio femminile, e la trama non le rende giustizia. Complessivamente l'ho trovata simpatica e combattiva. Il loro amore è veloce e intenso, i conflitti interiori di Coletrane non rendono il lettore impaziente per il coronamento della loro relazione, c'è una giusta dose di trepidazione e lieto fine.
Lo stile si conferma essere la carta vincente dell'autrice, scorrevole e l'inglese di facile lettura, dialoghi divertenti e frequenti.
La famiglia del Retribution MC ci saluta, ogni protagonista ha avuto la fetta di felicità che si meritava e una donna perfetta al proprio fianco. Nonostante qualche appunto negativo, consiglio la lettura della serie perché niente come un gruppo di biker riesce a trasmettere il senso di unità, amicizia e lealtà. Sono simpatici, rozzi e tanto tanto sexy... quindi irresistibili!!!
✯✯5 Sizzling Hot Stars!!!✯✯
FINALLY!!! I been dying for Cole's story since I first read Steele . I was upset when I saw he was the last book in this series. But, you know that old saying about leaving the best for last..Well, Rie most definitely did. Man, was Coletrane is my favorite. Even Sinclair is my favorite of the series!!
Cole AKA Probie AKA College is a tattoo artist during the day. Works at the MC bar at night until the club gets a new probie. He doesn't mind it though.The guys at Retribution are his family. Cole's past isn't anything he likes to tell people about. His mom had tried her best when they were younger.
When his sister OD'd his mom couldn't handle it. She ended up with such severe PTSD she is now in a care facility. She doesn't remember Cole or the fact that his sister has died. Cole has never gotten over it.
Cole is not looking for a relationship. But, when Sadie insists on introducing him to her friend he was not prepared for Sinclair.Sinclair stands WAY out in the Retribution bar. He can tell instantly she's too rich and too good for somebody like him. Even though their connection is instant Cole tries his best to get her to run away screaming the opposite way.
Cole was right about one thing. Sinclair is not like any other girl. Sinclair runs the family Fairley-Chatham Foundation. Her parents own the company. Her mother comes from a wealthy family. Her father was considered not good enough. They've worked together for years and are well known. Sinclair runs the organization in charge of charities that help the sick. Sinclair has grown up rich and doesn't ever have to worry about money. But, when you talk to her you'd never know that. She is the most level headed down to earth woman.
Sinclair or Sin to Cole doesn't give up. She doesn't want to hear from Cole she needs to run away from him or that she's too good for him. Only she can say those things. Cole finally stops fighting Sin. But, he'll never stop thinking it. Sin learns quick that Cole likes to take the lead and he likes it rough. Sin might of never done those things before. But, as long as Cole is in charge Sin is down for anything.
Cole and Sin are really great together. Cole tells Sin about his dirty terrible past. Sin starts to make Cole realize he can't change his past. And, that it doesn't define who he is now. Cole starts to think that things are going to be OK. His past comes back with a evil force behind it. With Sin father going off the deep end. Cole must get Hunter and Det Ashe Kingston to help him and most importantly to help Sin.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! I love how Rie still has all the previous couples still involved in the storyline. When the guys are all hanging out at the bar I can not stop laughing. But, when Cole and Brodie sat down to have a one to one. Oh man! I couldn't stop the tears that kept falling. Rie Warren has a way of making you think that you're at the bar or that your boyfriend just came home and insisted telling you the stupidness that went on tonight. LOL. I am very very sad to see this incredible series come to an end. But, I'm hoping Rie will make them still alive in Boomer book.
World Building: This story takes place in Mt. Pleasant, with same band of misfits as the last three novels! I love getting to know each and every character and I’m so excited that there are more stories to come in this universe!! The MC atmosphere and their quiet little town are the absolute perfect settings for this series.
Characters: This story’s main characters are Sinclair and Coletrane! My oh my was Coletrane amazing!! I wasn’t expecting this rough and tumble, grown man Dom!!!! He seemed so young and unassuming in all of the other novels, but his story definitely told the real story though. *winks* Sinclair aka Sin ended up being as kickass as I’ve come to expect from the females in this series! She was so different but just the right amount of different to snag Cole! I loved her big heart and that she was a rocking business woman too!
Plot: This novel has two main story arcs throughout the novel. The romance arc between Cole and Sin as well as a suspense arc that stemmed from Cole’s past. This novel overall was pretty low key on the action and really focused on Cole and Sin evolving as a couple.
Writing: This series is so different from the other MC series I have read, and that’s why I adore it so much! It has its own brand of recklessness but at the same time all of the men are wonderful. Every member has their own lives outside of the club and every man treats their woman with the utmost respect and has eyes for only them. I love, love, love the comradery that is shown with each and every member and I think it is so cool that these book are done solely in the guy’s perspective!
Curb Appeal: Hot damn was this cover steaming!! I like how all of them, in the series, portray the hero and have their motorcycles on the cover! The blurb is pretty spot on. I love how the heroine gets her say in the blurb I just wish I could get that point of view throughout the book too!!
Ultimately: I’m sooo sad to see this series end!! I love this universe and all of the characters in it! I am very excited that there are other possible series in the works with the MC characters and I can’t wait to see what their stories will bring!! All in all Rie Warren saved the best for last, if you’re in the mood for a panty melting man who knows what he is doing then come and check out Coletrane!!!
*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Coletrane and Sinclair come from very different backgrounds. His past is dark and filled with many things he regretted and many things he couldn't change. He's covered in tattoos and wears chains and is undoubtedly the badass he appears to be. Hers is colored in high society and wrapped in money, something she wears very well. Two different worlds so far apart and yet an attraction that cannot be denied...no matter how hard he tries.
"...I watched Sin suck and swallow and lick her lips as the cold beverage slid down her throat.
She'd probably never swallowed come in her life."
Coletrane's past will catch up with him and he'll do everything within his power to protect Sin from the filth that once corrupted him. There's only one problem with his desire to do right by her, he didn't exactly take her wishes into consideration, and she can be one very determined woman.
The characters are easily connected to, their interactions smooth and natural. The three hoodlums put a slight suspense into the pages as you never know what they have up their sleeves. And the sex it steamy hot. It's a great combination.
Coletrane (Bad Boys of Retribution #4) is the last book in what has been a sizzling hot series. I've enjoyed the boys of Retribution and honestly wouldn't mind reading more as there are a lot more sexy men in there begging to be tamed by the fierce woman who will come to love them. Rie Warren sure knows how to mix sexy and suspense, and her novels are never a disappointment.
What I've loved about these books is that they are told from the man's POV only. It's nice being inside a man's head for a change.
My Favorite Moment: Coletrane can clean up quite well, but I don't think even the suit he was wearing could have prepared him for what Sin had on.
"Sin," I hissed when she tentatively touched me on the arm. "What the hell are you wearing?"
"Custom made." She twirled around. "You like?"
Her sea-green eyes had never shone so bright, her red lips never so glossy.
I wanted to bite them.
"Like doesn't quite cut it. Am I slobbering?"
My Favorite Laughable Moment: The conversation Coletrane has with Hunter. Hunter's reaction to being asked if he was a Dom was downright priceless. It was nice to have a little humor mixed in with what would become a heartfelt conversation.
