She was supposed to be my forever. Until the day she disappeared without a word. No goodbye. No explanation. Just... gone.
Fifteen years later, Grace Carter is back in Holloway Ridge—no longer the girl I once loved, but a woman with a past she won't talk about... and a daughter who changes everything.
I should hate her.
For leaving. For breaking me. For never looking back.
But the moment I see her again, I know one thing hasn't changed. I've never stopped loving her.
Now she's living in my town, raising her child, and trying to rebuild a life she walked away from.
And somehow, I'm right back where I started--caught between the past we lost and the future we might still have. Because in a town like Holloway Ridge, second chances don't come easy. And this time... walking away isn't an option.
If you love found family, second-chance romance, and friends-to-lovers stories, this book is definitely worth picking up!
Coming Home to You follows Grace and Owen. Fifteen years ago, Grace suddenly disappeared, leaving Owen and his family without any answers. Now divorced and raising her almost six-year-old daughter, Ella, Grace returns to her small hometown knowing she can’t avoid the people she left behind — especially Owen and the Holloway family.
This book was such a lovely and heartwarming read. I especially loved the way the Holloway family embraced Ella and cared for her like one of their own. The found family aspect was beautifully written and added so much warmth to the story. I loved Owen's siblings so much !
Ella completely stole the show for me — she was adorable, funny, and impossible not to love. Her presence brought so much charm and emotion to the book.
I’m already excited to continue the series, especially for Lily and Theo’s stories!
If you’re looking for a sweet second-chance romance filled with supportive family dynamics, emotional healing, and an adorable child character, I’d definitely recommend this one.
Thank you again Calista Comet for the opportunity to be an ARC reader !
I loved this book, I will admit that it took me about 10% to get into it.
The family dynamic in this book is top notch.
Grace has been through some bad times in her life but she is able to make the best of everything Ella (despite her shitty dad and nut allergy). I can understand the fact that she feels she can’t trust anyone, even though she knew most of them 15 years ago.
Owen is such a good man to start the return of the love of his life in such a shitty manner. He turned things around once he understood what had happened with Grace.
Owen’s siblings and mom are the best of the best. They loved Ella like she was their niece from the beginning.
The star of this show is Ella for sure.
This is my first book by this author and I am fully on board for the rest of this series.
I absolutely over this book!!! Grace and Owen were so in love until one night Grace was kind of forced to leave due to her father and then 15 years later she returns with her five year-old daughter Ella ( she is too stinkin cute). In those 15 years Grace has been gone, she’s been through bad times and that makes her not trust anyone. Owen I just loved him, but he keeps putting his foot in his mouth every time he tries to talk to Grace. But can Grace and Owen find their way back to each other and move forward? I must say Owen‘s family is a freaking best and I love how they accepted Ella right away. This was my first book I’ve read by Calista Comet and it won’t be my last and I can’t wait for the rest of the books in the series. Thank You, Calista for letting me be part of the ARC team.
Coming Home To You by Calista Comet is a small-town, second-chance romance with one of my all-time favorite tropes woven in, found family.
Grace is a single mom with a traumatic past who decides to move back home to Holloway Ridge, which just so happens to be basically run by her ex’s family. Naturally, they reconnect and the rest is history.
This book is full of likable characters, but the real standouts for me were the MMC’s family. They’re the kind of people who make you wish you had them in your corner.
If you’re in the mood for a cozy small-town read with a little bit of drama, definitely pick this one up.
Thank you, Calista, for letting me be part of your ARC team! ✨
Super cute and sweet book! It has the most beautiful and happy ending 🥰 , fmc found a family and a lot of support in this story and it was just soo cute I definitely recommend it, it’s everything you look for in a romance. Thank you so much for the e-arc I can’t wait for the rest of this series, absolutely adorable! 🥰 #owen #grace #ella #cominghometoyou #calistacomet
This book took me by surprise. It was slow at first and took me about 10-15% of the book to get into it but once I did there was no putting it down. Owen is such a sweet MMC and I love a second chance romance. If you love second chance romance, small town vibes and lots of family time/events, this book is for you!
Fifteen years after disappearing from Holloway Ridge without a word, Grace comes back home with a daughter and a whole lot of baggage… only to come face to face with Owen Holloway — the man she left behind.
This honestly felt like one of those cozy comfort shows you randomly start and suddenly become emotionally attached to 😭
The biggest highlight for me was easily the Holloway family. I loved how close they all were, how they showed up for each other constantly, and how quickly they embraced Ella. That whole family dynamic added so much warmth to the story and genuinely carried the book for me at times.
And Owen?? Such a green flag from beginning to end. Protective, patient, caring… just an all around good man. I completely understood why Grace found comfort in him again so quickly.
Ella was also SO adorable 😭 she brought such a sweet softness to the story and honestly stole multiple scenes for me.
I liked that this wasn’t only focused on them falling back in love. It was also about learning how to trust each other again and reconnecting as completely different people after fifteen years apart.
That said… I won’t lie, the reason Grace left didn’t fully work for me. I kept thinking “wait… y’all really couldn’t find a way to contact each other in FIFTEEN years???” 😭 like I had to suspend disbelief a little there.
I also think the book could’ve been shorter. There were moments where not much was happening, and tightening it up a bit probably would’ve made this an even stronger read for me.
Still, this was such a heartwarming and comforting story overall, especially if you love: small towns, second chance romance, found family, protective MMCs, and close knit family dynamics.
I don't know how to start this review without spazzing a lot! There are some books that, from the moment you start reading, you already know will be a five-star rating and for me, Coming Home to You is one of them. It’s such a heartwarming, emotional journey that kept me highlighting my EPUB like crazy. I have a specific system for color-coding my favorite scenes and lines, and this book is covered in highlights because I loved it so much. Before diving into this story, Calista graciously gave me the prequel to read, which was another great story that added even more depth to this one.
Owen was a total green flag from beginning to end. He is a man any woman would be lucky to have. He is loyal to the core, hardworking, a true man of the house, and a loving son and brother to his younger siblings. This story really pulled at my heartstrings and kept me invested through every single page. I loved the way each character was written, from our main couple and sweet Ella down to the family members and side characters. I especially loved how Owen’s family always held him accountable whenever he made mistakes; it made the dynamics feel so real.
I only recently started reading stories with the small-town trope, and so far, this is my absolute favorite. I can't wait to read more about the Holloway family, and I truly hope I’ll be granted an ARC for the next ones, too!
Again, many thanks to Calista Comet for this ARC! I’m leaving this review voluntarily, and all thoughts are my honest and summarized reaction to the story.
Coming Home to you is a dual POV second chance romance. Grace disappeared from town 15 years ago, but now she’s returning home, divorced and with a young daughter in tow. She knows she can’t avoid everyone in a small town, but she’s surprised to run into her ex, Owen, right away. Owen was hurt and confused when Grace left so abruptly, but with time he opens up to her again, and welcomes her little girl with open arms. But Grace’s past won’t stay buried, and the two are going to have to fight for their second chance at happily ever after.
This romance had a lot of tropes I tend to enjoy: second chance, small town, single parent, found family, and a touch of romantic suspense. All the ingredients are there, but it fell a little short for me. I enjoyed the premise, and there’s a lot of promise with the large Holloway family made up of lovable characters for additional stories down the road. I love the idea of high school sweethearts finding their way back to each other, and the way Owen’s entire family embraced Grace’s daughter Ella.
OK, so this was the perfect introduction to the Holloway family, and I’m really excited to read the rest of the series especially Lily and Theo’s stories.
While Owen and Grace’s journey back to each other wasn’t the smoothest, I did enjoy the mystery surrounding why she actually left town, as well as all the drama involving Eric, But honestly, my favorite relationship in this book was Owen and Ella’s. I loved how he embraced her, which was the complete opposite of how he handled Grace’s return.
By the time I finished, I kept going back and forth between rating this a 3.5 or a 4 star read, but I ultimately landed on 4 stars because I truly loved Owen and how protective and caring he was with his family. The found family aspect of this book was easily my favorite part, one of my favorite scenes was Graces toast after the last court date and Ruth toasting by saying "Family,"…"To the one we're inherit, and the one we choose."
I can honestly say I’m a little obsessed with the Holloway family and how they love and stick beside each other, so I cant wait to finish this series!
The author approached me on Instagram to ask if I would like to read her book, and I am so glad I accepted. This has every bit of small-town nosiness, strong fun family, with an air of mystery that I devoured. What I enjoyed most about this book is from the beginning, I need to know why she disappeared. Then there’s how she settled back into town. No one knew her story. This felt very real. Not everyone that comes back to their hometown is going to be welcomed with open arms especially when they don’t know why she left. But she gets to tell her side of things and life falls into place when there’s a plot twist that shakes everyone in town. There is a steady stream of drama, mystery, and suspense that will keep you reading to the very end. I for one cannot wait to read more of this series! If you like romance mixed with mystery and suspense that hits just right, grab your copy ASAP.
Emotional, comforting, and full of heart. Coming Home To You is the kind of second-chance romance that feels deeply emotional from the very beginning.
Fifteen years after disappearing without explanation, Grace returns to Holloway Ridge carrying secrets, heartbreak, and a daughter that changes everything.
✨ What makes it stand out: 🏡 cozy small-town atmosphere 🤎 unresolved first love ✨ emotional healing & forgiveness 👨👩👧 family-centered storyline
The emotional tension between Grace and the man she left behind carries through every interaction, creating that bittersweet feeling second-chance romance readers love.
The story balances nostalgia, heartbreak, and hope beautifully, showing how love can survive even after years of pain and silence.
It’s tender, emotional, and filled with the warmth of finding your way back home—to both a place and a person.
Sooooo good!!! I was given an ARC copy and let me tell you I read this one in less than a day and CAN NOT WAIT for the next book! DEFINITELY read the PREQUEL- it gives you an insight into the family and what happens before this book. Owen and Grace’s story is soo good and will have you on a roller coaster of emotions but in the best way! And the underlying questions about what happened to Jackson only add to the story. Love all the characters and can’t wait to see how they all develop. Not a lot of spice but the spice was well written. Overall a great start for this series and this author!!! Thanks for the opportunity to read it first :)
My favorite quote in this book is “There’s something about little children, especially happy, cheerful ones like Ella, which make you want to protect the magic a little longer— like if you build the right things around them, the world might not break just yet.” This book has: - A man who never stopped loving her. - A single mom rebuilding her life. - A small town that remembers everything and I felt EVERYTHING! ❤️ From a single mom rebuilding my own life and finding love again. This quote hit home and was so beautiful to me. I hope that everyone who has gone through rough patches finds their happily ever after! ❤️
Another chance at love, loving family and friends, a cute kid and a missing fathers case in the background of this story. This book has sweet and tender moments and some spice if youre looking for that but can skip over if you want. Looking forward to the rest of the family HEAs and finding out more on their missing father. Definitely will continue reading this series.
I was accepted to be an ARC reader for this book and I'm so glad. I have really enjoyed this story. It was cute and relatable at time lol. I definitely can't wait for the 2nd book and I hope I'm able to arc again!!!!
I just finished reading Coming Home To You and I can't wait for the next book in the series. This story had every single trope I love. What really made this book stand out wasn't just the main character but the incredible side characters. They added so much charm to the story, especially Grace's daughter. Seeing the way this entire group supports and shows up for Grace was so heartwarming, the found family dynamic made the book addictive. I also loved that the author included a prequel, it provided such a great foundation for the world. Of course, Owen and Grace's relationship was beautiful to watch and the bond between Grace's daughter and Owen. If you're looking for a romance with a lot of heart, a few twists (no spoilers) and a support system you'll wish you were a part of definitely give this a read. I can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes.
