I got tired of this book in the prolog!¡! Omg!! She pulled the dead man's switch, something i set up a long time ago. Repeated 50 times!!! Not saying why just repeated over and over c again with how there parents died about 25 times!!!! The repetition killed this book before it started. I was like get to the point already so the story could start.

This book started strong and had a lot of potential, but overall it felt more average than I expected. The premise is gripping and the first chapters really pull you in with tension and danger. However, as the story progresses, it becomes quite repetitive, especially in the relationship dynamic and intimate scenes. I found myself wanting more plot development and less focus on the same patterns repeating. The characters are interesting, but they are not explored as deeply as they could have been. There are also some confusing timeline elements that took me out of the story. It is not a bad read, just not a particularly memorable one. Overall, I would rate it around three stars.

Confusing and boring. No real background about both Mafia, Costa and Bellanti.

I’ve read a lot of Mafia books 📚 this one had too much sexy time and not enough story. I nearly decided not to finish the book 📖 but persevered hoping it would improve. 🥲
I will read the next book in the series but if it’s of the same vein I will not read the rest. Disappointed

If you spent any time with the Broken Halos MC series, you’ll clock the Costa immediately—the Costas don’t exactly do subtle entrances. This spin-off wastes no time bringing them back into the spotlight, kicking things off with Dominic Costa, the Don. And honestly? He arrives carrying every ounce of unfinished business from the last series. We pick up with the Costa brothers regrouping in Chicago after Lucia’s near-catastrophic betrayal almost burned their empire to the ground. The story threads that were left dangling before are woven back in smoothly, and after a quick refresher, things escalate fast. Enter Sienna Marchetti: florist and the unluckiest woman alive when she walks straight into a Costa interrogation during a late-night delivery. Classic wrong place, wrong time… except instead of ending up in concrete shoes, she becomes something far more dangerous—a captive who matters. And that’s where things get interesting. Dominic, a man who has spent two decades as a calculated, ruthless force driven by vengeance against the Bellanti family, takes one look at Sienna and—boom—something shifts. Revenge Of The Mafia Don by Rica Lane is the first title in the new Costa Vendetta series and it was a great read.
Being familiar with the previous Broken Halos MC series where the Costa family was the enemy of the Gunnar biker family, I think I was a little conditioned to dislike the Costas so was slightly concerned that I may not enjoy this story having some negative preconceptions about the Costas. Thankfully I was wrong.
The lengthy prologue was appreciated in that it set the scene and gave some background into the history and motives behind Dominic Costa's feelings and actions and set me on the course to feel invested in his journey.
As a steamy instalove, age gap, forced proximity, OTT alpha, mafia romance it hit the spot and had me hooked quickly especially with the engaging main characters of Dominic Costa and Sienna Marchetti.
Dominic is older and the Don of the Costa family who have recently relocated to Chicago from Pine Valley to plan the downfall of another mafia family responsible for the death of his parents some twenty years ago.
Dominic is all ruthlessness and dominance and is completely captivated at first sight by the curvy younger florist Sienna who walks in on some lethal family business. Sienna is a liability to the Costas but Dominic's instant primal and possessive reaction is to claim and protect her.
In essence Sienna is kidnapped and her life before Dom erased to keep her safe but her refusal to immediately submit sees Dom systematically try to win her over and as a result Sienna and the reader sees a new side to the Don where he shows feelings of guilt, love and vulnerability.
The steam, spice and chemistry between Dom and Sienna was scorching and I was easily turning the pages to see how their HEA comes about.
Definitely a great start to the new series and I look forward to the next story.

Dominic Costa is everything you want in a mafia antihero — ruthless, possessive, dangerous, and completely obsessed once he decides Sienna belongs to him. The single word “Mine” changed the entire course of the story, and honestly? The intensity never let up after that. 🖤🔥
I loved the contrast between them. Sienna is soft-hearted and struggling to survive, while Dominic lives in a violent world ruled by power and revenge. Watching her get pulled deeper into his dangerous life while still holding onto her own strength made the romance even more compelling. 🌹

After reading the MC series, I honestly didn't know if I would enjoy the new one, starting with Dominic Costa, after what he did to Lucia in the final book of the last series. But as they say, you should never judge a book by its cover, and that is exactly how I found: I liked Dominic in his own way.
His past has shaped him; it's made him rein in his feelings, and he has become the monster he needed to be to protect his family, and that is what he has done over the years. He's not perfect; he has his flaws, he has made and will make mistakes, and some mistakes weigh more heavily than others.
When Sienna comes into his line of sight, the game is over. She is his, she just doesn't know it, but she will! She is a witness, one that should be taken care of, and Dominic will, just not in the way that Fabio wants!! Sienna may try to fight his demanding way, but the attraction is too strong. With the war with the Bellanti family ongoing, Dom needs Sienna to understand that he is doing it all for her protection.

What an explosive start to a new series. We learned to hate the Costa’s from the Broken Halo series, but the first installment will start to unravel what you thought you knew.
Such an intriguing read. Dominic Costa has always been a broody silent mystery to us, but we learn what a controlling force he is.
Dom is the Don of Chicago and he is back to execute his revenge on a rival family for an unforgivable crime against his family twenty years ago. What he never expected was her.
Sienna is a young florist who saw something she should not have. Now the Don has claimed her and she has no way of escaping him and truth be told she doesn’t want to.
Dom is a force to be reckoned with. He is controlling, methodical and completely obsessed with Sienna. He will burn down the world to protect her. He just hopes she wants him after he reveals who he truly is.
Sienna is stronger than she knows. She has complete control ofer the dangerous Don and doesn’t even realize the power she holds. I love how strong she is.

Dominic and Sienna’s story is the first in this arc of the Costa mafia family, it is an offshoot of the Broken Halos MC series also by Rica Lane. It starts one night when Sienna sees something she shouldn’t during a flower delivery. It moves swiftly from there as Dom sees her and something clicks “Mine” and he whisks her away to his penthouse fortress. This is a high risk, heat filled story that explodes with sex and bloody battles, sometimes in that order, sometimes not. The Costa family has returned to Chicago to right a wrong from 20+ years ago and they didn’t care who got killed in the process, preferably the Bellanti family, until Sienna came to the restaurant. Now Dom will raze Chicago to keep her safe. This is one of the best books I have read by Rica Kane and I can’t wait for book 2 in the series. 4✨’s . We met the Costa's in the Broken Halo MC series not only where they the protagonists of the Broken Halo but they where also Lucia's family that she almost destroyed at the end of the series now we get their stories
What a way to start with Dominic (Dom) the eldest brother the one who saw his parents killed and locked himself behind walls to protect his siblings and build a empire to get revenge and he is now starting that revenge it is all he lives for that is until florist Sienna sees something she shouldn't his family wants her taken care of but one look at her and Dom's idea of care is totally different. Can he find a way to keep Can he keep her safe in a war and can they have a future You will have to read to see
This was a fast paced fun read longer than the earlier books but a great fun read and I can't wait for the brothers and cousins of the Costa family to meet their matches

Dominic & Sienna's story captivated me from the very beginning & I could NOT put it down!!! It is fast paced and I really enjoyed it. You feel all the feelings with them... the sorrow, and longing, yearning for peace & redemption...and then comes the love, and healing.
I love how Dominic finally let Sienna in and let her talk with his sister, which is a huge thing and how it finally brought about healing for a lot of them. 🤩🤩

This is a well written story about two warring mafia families. Vengeance for the loss of parents which has taken root and transform the MMC into the typical hardened weaponized Don protecting his family and going after those that killed his parents. He struggles with things he has had to do in his past. His entire world is rocked with the unexpected appearance of Sienna, a florist, at a very inopportune moment. He falls instantly. He is obsessive, possessive, dominant, protective and he needs to be because she has become a target simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She resists and believes she has been kidnapped, at first. She heals him simply via her presence and understanding his past "monstrous" acts. Ends in a non-relationship related cliff hanger.

Dominic is now the Dom as a server continues with the Costas. He needs to protect Sienna who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. But she doesn't want to be sheltered she doesn't want things to disappear she wants to stay and live her life. But he wants to keep her and claim her as his. This man who has been a shield and dominant over the family to protect the family and hold the family business is now starting to believe that there have been some bumps and along the way that will affect her as they affected his family. A lot of intense intimate situations. A lot of Revelations and truths that are now on the table. This is a good read. Some triggers may occur when reading this book.

I rated this 4 out of 5 stars because while the characters are likable, the female lead lacked a distinct storyline outside of the romance. The plot was also slowed down by repetitive steam scenes that felt like "rinse and repeat" rather than driving the narrative forward.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the new series Costa Vendetta. Dom Costa was introduced in Broken Halos Motorcycle Club series especially the last book with his sister's Lucia's story. I didn't really like Dom in that series but as a reader we learn about Dom and why he behaves tge way he does. He knows he is not a good man but will do anything to protect his family. Sienna was sweet and just living her life as a florist when she walks into something that puts her in danger. Dom is obsessive and possessive I'm here for it. I'm enjoying this new series and the Costas Men.

When Sienna dropped that vase, her life changed in so many ways. Dominic saw her and he fell in love instantly. He picked her up and just walked out with her. She was his and that was that. She just wanted to get back to her shop. And she thought Dominic was crazy.
I have read a lot of Rica's books but this book was a complete surprise. After the last series, I was ready to dislike the Costa family. But Rica you made this story amazing. So much so that I told my husband that I wanted him to love me like Dominic loves Sienna. My husband started laughing at me. I am so looking forward to your next book.

One night everything changes when a florist walks in on something she should not have. He’s not letting her go and the Costa primal love monster is in full predator mode. Sienna is drawn to him and fights against him turning her world upside down. We see the depth Dominic goes to for the people he loves and how he chooses to grow as a person because of her. Loved it!!! Hot steamy fun and an OTT alpha man claiming the woman he loves.

Dominic Costa is certainly a force to be reckoned with on a global scale. But when the beautiful Sienna stumbles (literally) into a brutal situation led by him - he knows he must make her his. This push-pull, forced submission romance has all the earmarks of everlasting love and a life together. Honestly, I really didn’t like Dom at the start, but as he discovers himself and allows some confessions and vulnerability into his life - I grew to appreciate him a bit more. Lest us not forget he IS a Mafia Dom. 😉 Always written so well by Rica.

Revenge Of The Mafia Don is the 1st book in the new Costa Vendetta series. Sienna is having a bad night. While making a late flower delivery, she walks in on a blood bath. Oops. She's fixing to be permanently silenced when Dominic says "mine". Dominic is a mafia Don. He's lived his life for revenge of his parent's deaths. In claiming Sienna, he saves her. Yet, her life, as she knew it, is gone. Dominic is a hard man, and doesn't "do feelings", until he does. I found this a great start to this new series, which is the other side to the Broken Halos MC series.

Very disappointed with this story, I love a good mafia book, but this was just sex with a small plot.
It was badly edited I read the same 2 paragraphs twice and the constant mention of how his brothers look like there parents got annoying so did the constant mentioning of the death of his parents.
Also the timeline was confusing its seems at one point that several days have passed and then when the photo was found and it was from the night before which made no sense.
And one final big plot hole was her sister. when she thought she was going to die she thought about her sister, then she is never mentioned again.

After his sister, Lucia, brought down his empire, Dominic and his brothers and cousins left Pine Valley to get his revenge on the Ballenti family in Chicago. They were responsible for the deaths of their parents. It had been a year and his plan was coming together. That is, until a florist delivering a huge bouquet to the restaurant and literally stumbled onto a scene that should have gotten her killed. One look at Sienna and Dominic decided to claim her instead. A interesting read with danger and a war brewing between the families.

Redeeming himself, we first meet Dom in “Guarded by the Bikers” and we are meant to hate him. In this book we get to learn about him and start to love him. All thanks to Sienna a woman he sees from a distance and wants but never touches. Until one night when she walks into the wrong room and he claims hers are his and will burn the city down to protect her.
Can be read out of order but read both if given the chance can’t wait for the rest of the family.
