DELUXE CASE ART: Slip away the dust jacket on this lavishly designed hardcover to unveil a denizen of the spirit world!

After a kiss from Kazik, the town’s grumpy exorcist, restores Gisela’s humanity, she is finally free to leave the magical spa town of Leśna Woda and return to her mortal family. But a dark revelation roots her in place: Aleksey, the other boy she has fallen for, is possessed by a forest demon.

Tension flares between Gisela and Aleksey are forced to team up to help rescue a sky nymph, and Gisela finds herself torn about whether to spill Aleksey’s secret to Kazik. Would the exorcist destroy the demon to rescue the boy he’s possessed? And could Gisela bear to lose the Aleksey she’s fallen in love with?

When an old friend of Kazik’s forces Aleksey to reveal himself, Gisela is spirited away to the forest realm with Aleksey. There, she uncovers startling truths about the demon—and a plot to wrest control of Leśna Woda’s magical waters. Are all forest spirits wicked and bloodthirsty? Or are reparations and a mortal reckoning long overdue?

This darkly enchanting sequel to book one of the Spirits and Saints duology, This Fatal Kiss, is told in alternating points of view and introduces new spirits to readers while expanding its cozy, folkloric world. A queer friendly romance for readers who enjoy love triangles, beguiling mysteries, and grandfatherly house spirits masquerading as chubby, orange cats!

Sequel to This Fatal Kiss officially announced!
And thank God cause it was a favourite of 2025 and while that book is satisfying on its own, I was praying her publisher would allow her to write the continuation it deserved.

I had no idea a second book was coming out, I’m so excited! The cozy, whimsical, fairytale feeling of the first one is unmatched. In a few words, I’d describe the first book as talented, show stopping, spectacular, unafraid to reference or not reference, etc. I absolutely adored Gisela, and I’m excited to see how her relationship with Aleksey develops. Honestly, I’m excited to see how the whole trio’s dynamic develops because I feel like it wasn’t fully cooked. Needless to say, I’ll be patiently wanting for the next one.

Thank you to the publisher for an ARC in edelweiss!

This book was dedicated to fans who were asking for a sequel to This Fatal Kiss and I was one of the ones absolutely begging and hoping it would happen. My review is not spoiler free for the first book! This book was everything I hoped it would be and more. The first book was already so whimsical and this one absolutely amplified it, showing off more of the folklore and the world.

The relationship between the 3 characters was so well developed. Every pairing had heir own unique dynamic but they didn't feel complete without the others. The book truly felt like it had a world beyond the page, every background character fleshed out and important. The sisterhood between Gisela and the other girls is SO important to me and I loved that her becoming human didn't sever the love they had for her. While the romantic love is very important, platonic love is treated as just as important.

The redemption arc for Aleksky was so well done, you could really feel the internal conflict between what he now wants and the life he's known for years and years. Despite all he’d done, how he’d hurt the other two main characters who we love, you can’t help but root for him.

"You're a nightmare," he told her.
"And you like it. You'd be bored with anyone else, and think of it this way: Every time he's with us is another time he's not off causing mischief. We're basically doing this world a service."
"How very saintly of you,'
the demon said"

I was so excited to read the sequel and this did not disappoint me at all, what i love about the author and both the books is how talented she is in writting the world and folklore i such a immersive way, I can imagine each and everything in an immersive way easily and that is an absolute delight to read for me.

About the plot and our beloved trio, they once again made me fell in love with them, I adore then sm with my heart and this book start off exactly where second book l3ft book, more focusing on who aleksy really is and as we know who took over his body and kazik + our fmc solving that problem, I love her bond with other nymphs and her friends alot and overall her interaction with other characters as well, kazik is my fav need ever and always will be and I am honestly happy with the ending and how things ended up being set up. All in all this was a solid and satisfying sequel I read.

What a fun conclusion to this duology!

As with the first book, I loved the lore and all of the spirits and other beings in the book. To be honest, I wish we’d seen more humans and their interactions with the spiritual world. Our main trio continued to be super interesting characters individually and together. In the first book, I found Gisela to be annoying at times and in this book, she was a little better. I don’t know if I’d say she grew so much as I think the author’s writing of her matured a little. She’s still very young though, I have to keep that in mind. Both she and Kazkik are. I like that the three characters all come from different backgrounds and have very different personalities with the boys having very big struggles with things.

My biggest issue with the book is that the minor plot arc at the beginning felt so random. It made the book longer than it needed to be and introduced us to several new characters (one of which was necessary to the main plot). I feel like if this had been cut out, the book could have been more to the point with its plot instead of meandering the first twenty-five percent. Despite the book feeling longer than it needed to be, the pacing was fairly quick throughout the book which I am always a fan of.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book although I know this is supposed to be the conclusion of the duology, I would absolutely love to read more of this world, perhaps more so from other forest demons/spirits. I would recommend this to all who enjoy a good layered romantic fantasy story.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an eARC.

I received in ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Soooo happy to have gotten an ARC for the second book in this duology! I read an ARC of This Fatal Kiss and absolutely adored it, and I've been impatiently awaiting the sequel.

This was such a wonderful read. The Relationship dynamics between Aleskey, Gisela, and Kazik have become so complicated and messy with the reveals at the end of the precious book. Watching them navigate that alongside their feelings for each other was very satisfying, plus I actually really loved the period of separation where we get so see Gisela and Aleksey work through things and learn new information while Kazik is left behind with an incomplete picture.

Also, the twist with Lev was very satisfying. Also stressful. I was getting nervous about him being around Kazik alone for so long.

I felt like the conclusion tied things up really nicely, while still leaving a healthy/realistic amount of uncertainty about the future. I love the lack of jealousy in the throuple, how happy they are to share and all be a part of something together. Plus, the shift in the relationship between mortals and spirits was nice to see.

Overall, I really loved this book. Sad to see the series end, but happy with how it concluded.

I picked up the first book of this duology because the cover was absolutely gorgeous, and ended up devouring the entire book. This one is no less gorgeous, and just as addictive of a read.

Now, I will be honest, I don’t love one of the tropes in this book (can’t say which cause it would spoil the first book sorry), so I was a little wary going into this book. It wasn’t too painful of a turn out, though, and was an easy read around it. I’ve definitely read much more frustrating cases of the trope than this was.

The characters were just as loveable in this sequel as they were in the first book, and I liked getting to see their further development. The author did a great job of writing cozy but complicated characters and relationships, and it brings a level of drama and a bit of high stakes without being overwhelming.

I’d totally suggest picking up this duology if you’re looking to branch into more mythology than your typical faeries, and want something cozy with a little bit of high stakes. You can totally devour both these books in a week, and personally I did.

I LOVED book 1 so I did go into this very excited and expecting a lot--and I was not disappointed. It made me so happy to be reading it, like I would be kicking my legs and grinning. I'm sad it's the end of the duology but it also landed so so well that returning to these books time and again will be no hardship. Perfect summer reading. Very Ghibli-core (I could, like, picture sooooo many scenes in Ghibli style art). Good for fans of Margaret Owen and Maggie Stiefvater. Strongly, strongly recommend this one.

I read This Fatal Kiss recently and was excited to dive back into the world of this trio. I enjoy the characters and their unique POVs, but I felt it had the same issue I had with the first book with a bit of a long plot. I think it could've been slightly condensed, but I like the world-building and mythology of the duology. I really enjoyed the poly and queer romance and am always looking for more YA books with LGBTQ rep. I would recommend this duology to fans of YA mythology/folklore and romance!

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of this book.

This Lethal Love is everything a sequel to This Fatal Kiss needed to be.

Alicia Jasinska does a magnificent job of painting a cozy, yet creepy, world with characters that you can’t help but fall in love with.

The tension in this duology is unmatched and I can’t remember the last time a book has made me feel so giddy about romance.

We need more whimsical queer stories on shelves!
