Brilliant book. It has been the most useful bird identification field guide I've owned. The descriptions are brilliant too.
It lost 1 star because I have found birds out of their shown regions that weren't considered abnormal, and some species don't have pictures of the female (which have different plumage) and I have had to rely on google instead. But apart from that, brilliant. I've even converted a few birdos to this guide.

A great bookshelf edition that is used constantly to identify the little and no so little birds in this big country - how the junior/male/female differ is great for identifying

Not my favourite field guide to Australian birds, but a handy one to carry due to its compact size. I keep it in the glove box of our work vehicle so it is always handy.
