Rodeo Rescuer was a fun, entertaining read! The book started off with an intriguing beginning and the characters were good. I really liked the rodeo aspect and the sabotaging added some suspense because you never knew when something bad would happen.

All in all, I really liked this story and the ending was very sweet. I recommend it if you like romantic suspense. :)

Starts out very exciting, sucked me in and definitely had me wanting to find out what was going on. our main character Tonya is on the run, hiding from her ex-boyfriend turned stalker. After he attempted to kill her, he was locked up but for some reason got out of jail and started stalking her again, forcing her into hiding. The book picks up a few years later when Tonya has established a new life and successful career. Somehow her stalker has tracked her down and wants to finish the job, once and for all.

I enjoyed the overall idea for this one and loved the rodeo setting. I went to my very first rodeo just a couple months ago and absolutely loved it. I loved seeing behind-the-scenes and having the story based around a rodeo. While I loved the setting and plot idea, the execution didn't quite do it for me. Tonya was a likable enough character, but she had so many near misses it seemed a little over the top. Seth was just okay for me, I never really felt that much romantic chemistry between the two. I think the suspense angle could have been developed a little better...

Overall, I did enjoy the story and look forward to trying more of Ms. Eason's books.

Content
Romance: Clean. Mild kissing
Language: None
Violence: Mild. Attempted murder (a few different times, not graphic)
Religious: Very mild
Series: Wranglers Cove, Book Two. I haven't read the first book, and thought this stood well on its own. This does talk about who the bad guy was in book one though.

Bleh. That was really disappointing. Both main characters felt really empty to me, and the romance was equally so . . . I found myself more and more frustrated with how meaningless their relationship felt to me.

Also, the editing job was shocking. The worst I have read in a traditionally published book. A ton of typos, and lots of "head hopping". Lots of "telling" rather than "showing", and a scene repeated twice, right within the first dozen pages.

Very disappointing. Eason is my favorite suspense author, but this one just didn't cut it for me. I really did not enjoy it, but that is completely my personal opinion.

This is a great read, with lots of colour, character and danger. A girl who works as a professional rodeo clown - helping to preserve the lives of the bull riders after they hit the dirt - gets threatened by a stalker. She has to try to keep her career going and hide from the creep while not getting others harmed. A bull-rider who tries to help her is injured by a bull and needs to take time out to recover, so he suggests that she could spend time hiding out with him until the police catch the shifty stalker.

We get to see plenty of animals, the crowd entertainment aspects of the clown job and the bull-fighting side too such as a metal-lined barrel to jump into and protective vests. We also get to understand how such a brave lady could be numbed by a creepy guy and put at risk in her mobile lifestyle.

This is a top-class suspense read and the romance is suitable for adults and young adults.

Every Lynette Eason book I read further solidifies why she is one of my favorite authors. Though there was some uncharacteristic head-hopping in this particular book, it was a fantastic story that submerged me into the world of rodeos and bullfighting. I always try to figure out who the bad guys are, and Lynette's really good about keeping me guessing. Even if I sometimes suspect the right characters, she always threads in just enough reason for me to doubt that it could really be them. Rodeo Rescuer is another winner, if you ask me.

Rodeo Rescuer by Lynnete Eason is part of the Wrangler’s Corner series. I have not read the other books and felt this one stood alone.
Tonya is a rodeo clown bull fighter and in hiding from a stalker who is out to kill her. The opening scene shares how intense the book is going to be when he finds her.
Seth is a bull rider who has been friends with Tonya and her other boyfriend who was killed in a bullfighting accident that she partially blames herself for. Seth wants to help protector her from the stalker. He takes her home to his parents and his brother who is a sheriff at Wrangler’s Corner. Seth is still dealing with issues of his ex-girlfriend walking out on him after his accident because she thought he would no longer be able to compete.
Their occupations were something I was not familiar with and I found it very interesting.
The book is full of action and suspense. The faith portion is sprinkled in to be realistic and not preachy.

It draws you into the drama right off the start. Good suspense, characters that I cared about, lots of drama, action, faith that things will work out and romance. Fast clean entertaining read set with rodeo background.

Tonya Waters is a rodeo clown and good at her job. She also had a stalker who tried to kill her. Now he has found her again. She is afraid she will have to run again.

Seth Starke is a rodeo bull rider who chased off Tonya's stalker. He has always liked Tonya so after he is hurt after a ride he asks Tonya to come home to his ranch and let his brother the Sheriff help protect her.

Tonya after a bomb scare agrees to go with Seth but doesn't want his family in danger.

I did not want to put the book down. I loved the ending. I will look for more books by Lynette Eason in the future.

I was given Rodeo Rescuer to read by Harlequin and Net Galley and in return agreed to give honest review of Rodeo Rescuer.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

I did not realize when I borrowed this ebook from the library that it was a Christian romance. That's my fault and it was my decision to keep reading when I figured it out. Because of that, I'm ignoring the catagory, and any religious content plays no bearing on my rating. I will say that I did not feel at any time like I was being preached at.

The story itself was decent and I liked the main characters. There are two antagonists, one we know throughout the book and one we don't. That unknown was pretty easy to figure out. Some sections of the book seemed to drag with too much mundane and unimportant detail. There were also a few times when it seemed like the author forgot about things that had been written previously and confused the story a bit.

The cast of characters felt fairly one-dimensional. However, it is possible that some details of the characters and their histories were included in book 1, which I have not read.

Overall, I liked the romance and understood their motivations for the slow development of the HEA. The suspense, while not a nail-biter, was layered enough to keep my attention. I liked the details of the rodeo and how the author showed both of the jobs of the H bullrider and the h bullfighter. I would recommend this for a quick, easy read, provided you keep in mind it is a Christian romantic suspense.

What an amazing story. A Bull Rider and his Bullfighting Rodeo Clown.

Tonya Waters is a rodeo Bullfighting Clown. She's nursing a broken heart after having lost her last boyfriend to an injury sustained from a bull. She feels guilty because he died protecting her. She vowed to steer-clear of any romantic relationships and just focus on her career. She spends her days traveling to rodeos all over the country, fighting bulls to protect the riders. She's very good and wins lots of prizes for her work. Her dream is to make it all the way to the National Rodeo Finals is Las Vegas. She well on her way to making it too, if she can just stay safe and hidden long enough.

Seth Starke is a bull rider. He been back riding for two months, having suffered a broken leg gifted to him by a bull. He's well on his way to the NRF in Vegas. All he has to do is continue to have good rides, stay safe and stay focused. Problem is, he can't stop thinking about the women behind the clown makeup that is always in the ring watching his back. She was his buddy's girl and out of respect for his friendship he stayed away, even after his buddy died. Now though, he's determined to let her know he's interested in more than just friendship but before he can someone attacks her.

These two are pushed together after Tonya is found by her stalking ex and forced into hiding once again. This time however she isn't alone. She's taken to the Starke family ranch by Seth. He and his family have agreed to protect her, help her find her stalker and put him away once and for all.

I loved this sequel in the WRangler's Corner series. The characters were great and the plot was nicely paced. I can't wait to read the next book.

"Rodeo rescuer" is a romantic suspense. Tonya's a rodeo clown and Seth's a bull rider, so they know each other from the rodeo circuit and are friendly. Tonya's boyfriend recently died because he was afraid for her when she was distracting a bull and he tried to help her rather than get to safety. Now Tonya's worried about people getting hurt when trying to help her. Now a stalker from Tonya's past has somehow tracked her down and threatens her. Seth helped protect her while the police tried to capture her stalker. Seth and Tonya supported and protected each other.

The main characters were likable and reacted realistically to events. The exception was the person trying to kill her, who was not rational. The motive didn't really make sense. Still, between the dangers from the rodeo bulls and stunts and those out to kill Tonya, the story was suspenseful. It was interesting to have a rodeo setting. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this exciting suspense.

Marvelous suspense book filled with danger and intrigue.

I have never read a bad Lynette Eason book and this one is no exception. Tanya has a stalker out to kill her. She has managed to evade him by being a bullfighter in the rodeo arena following the rodeo circuit. He has managed to once again find her and the only thing that kept him from finding her was bull rider Seth Starke. When Seth finds out her predicament, he insists on helping her to solve the problem once and for all. Will Seth and Tanya be able to outsmart a killer that doesn’t want to give up?

Absolutely fantastic! Listened to it audio all in one day. Could not stop. I did my house chores, my outdoor spraying and driving with it on. I wanted to see what happened at the end and laid in bed until late into the night to hear the rest of it.

I have read multiple series and never seen this one. I cannot wait to continue this series now. Well done to another great start to a series that has me captivated to what to keep going. As a young author, I know how important these first books of a series are :)

No matter where Tonya Waters' runs her stalker always finds her. He has managed to track her down on the rodeo circuit now. If bull rider Seth Starke hadn't come to her rescue she'd be dead. But then Seth is injured in the ring and she comes to his rescue. Seth is determined to protect Tonya. Will he be able to protect her and keep her safe? Why is her stalker so persistent? Is there something else going on?

Love the rodeo aspect of this book. I never knew so much about the rodeo until I read this book. I learned about bull riders, bull fighters (the people in the barrels) and rodeo clowns. It was pretty interesting. It was a good mystery. I certainly did not see the end coming the way it did. As I like to say "twist ending!" There were some thrilling times in the book besides the bull rides and such! What to know more read the book.

Rodeo Rescuer

A little slow to read. Tonya seemed like she was imagining seeing an ex boyfriend and it made it hard to try and follow the story. The commitment issues were interesting. As always the family commitment of the Sharks is awesome. The surprise of who done it was great.

This is the second book by this author I have read. I gave the first one 3 stars because it was "meh". I neither liked, nor disliked it. I am giving this one four because the writing was a lot better than the first. There was a lot more emotional connection than I had with the first book.

More twists than a bull rider

Rodeo Rescuer held my attention from thE beginning. I enjoyed learning about the insides of a rodeo, but the characters were also decently developed. The action was non-stop, the twists
unpredicted but believable. Another good one by Lynette Eason

Rodeo Rescuer

I haven't been to a rodeo event in years, but this book brought all the memories back. A stalker returns to finish what he started, and Tonya needs to decide whether to run or fight. Good clean book.

Running Scared

I liked the fast pace of the story line which actually only covered a short time line. I was kept in suspense as Tonya went from one crisis to another. Her faith held and her support team was awesome. Good reading!

explosive force

Stop both of them in their tracks. Why is anyone coming after a bull ‘fighter’. She has done absolutely nothing to deserve this. Why can’t they leave her alone. Great book. Can’t wait to read the next one.

I picked this book up because I had never read a book featuring a woman as a rodeo clown. Reading about rodeo life was interesting. I liked Tanya and Seth; they were good people doing their best in trying circumstances. The romance was believable and sweet. I would read more by this author.
