I am 80% sure I don't have to read the first book to understand this book.

(I knew it! I didn't have to read the first story. Thank goodness. I'm very bad at getting the first book, I usually buy the second book and end of having to buy the first story as well. Luckily this was a stand alone and I get this one free! Yay! *happy dance*)
This was a nice short story of acceptance of what happens in life and the joys of being able to see past your bad times and look to the future instead of getting stuck in the past.
SPOILER quote:
"Capone lived to a healthy 18 years. And when they buried him, they thought of the man who brought this special cat into their lives. Never forgetting either of them."
This was a cute story but tissues are definitely needed at the beginning. The cat is a cutie and helps the little girl through very sad times. Chelsy had originally not wanted to keep the cap but it helped both her mom and her. Loved it.
This was such a great story about how a cat can win your heart. I loved the story and how well Peter Scottsdale keeps you in suspense. Great for both children and adults.
A Tuxedo Cat Christmas: The Christmas Cat Book #2 by Peter Scottsdale is a great story that will leave readers teary-eyed. It's definitely a story for all cat lovers and the book has its moments of joy and sorrow. It captures the essence of the Christmas season and winter beautifully and also the pain of loss. Capone, the Tuxedo Cat, steals the show; he's funny, cute, and naughty. The narration is detailed which makes the story visual and alive. The readers will feel glad that Darla (mother) and Chelsea (daughter) found Capone to bring some color into their lives. The book is adorable and one need not be a cat lover to enjoy the story.
