Axel is a 4‑star, “grumpy biker daddy gets emotionally jump‑scared by a sunshine girl” fever dream, and honestly? I had the time of my life watching this man crumble like a stale cookie under the weight of his own desire and denial.
Axel starts this book convinced he’s immune to love.
He’s done the math.
He’s done the logic.
He’s done the emotional tax return.
And the numbers say:
“Nope. Too old. Too damaged. Too grumpy. Go back to your one-night stands and your emotional bunker.”
Then Opal walks in — sweet, sassy, glowing like a human glitter bomb — and Axel’s entire internal spreadsheet catches fire. This man is out here trying to calculate their age difference like he’s filing taxes, meanwhile, Opal is looking at him like he hung the moon and maybe also installed the dimmer switch.
He tries to run.
He tries to hide.
He tries to bury himself in work with The Johnston Agency like a man who thinks spreadsheets can drown out sexual tension.
But then the stalker shows up.
And the campus disappearances escalate.
And suddenly Axel is hauling Opal off to his secluded cabin like, “This is for your safety,” when we all know damn well it’s also because he can’t stand being more than six feet away from her.
And THEN — the moment that breaks him — Opal tells him the truth:
She needs a Daddy Dominant,
And Axel is the only one she’s ever wanted.
You can practically hear the sound of this man’s emotional armour shattering like a dropped wineglass.
The stalker plot keeps the tension sharp, the danger real, and Axel’s protective instincts dialled up to eleven. He’s ready to burn down the world, the forest, the cabin, the entire Devils’ Spawn clubhouse if it means keeping Opal safe.
If this book were a drink, it’d be a shot of whiskey poured over a cinnamon stick and set on fire.
A heated, protective, age‑gap romance where a man who thinks he’s too old for love gets absolutely steamrolled by the one girl who sees straight through him.

Axel notices Opal and he knows he needs to stay far away. A man like him is a one night stand type of guy and Opal has happily ever after written all over her. When she is put in danger though, Axel is the one keeping her safe. She has caught the eye of someone he suspects in other disappearances. Can Opal handle Axel and his kinks or will he scare her off before they even begin?
Fast paced. I liked the characters and the suspense of the story. Kept me turning pages until the very end.

Axel was such a wild, addictive read. It’s messy in the best way. All that age‑gap tension, all that push‑and‑pull energy, and Axel fighting his feelings like it’s a full‑time job. Opal is sweet, stubborn, and exactly the kind of girl who gets under his skin without even trying.
What surprised me most was how much heart the story had underneath the heat. Axel’s gruff, closed‑off exterior hides someone who’s been hurt and is terrified to want something real again. Watching him slowly unravel for her. While trying to protect her from real danger; gave the story this emotional punch I wasn’t expecting.

Axel: Devil’s Spawn’s Daddies is the fifth book in her Devils’ Spawn Daddies series, and it continues her same vibe of intensity, protective, and emotionally charged characters that she is famous for. Focusing on Axel and Opal, who are complete opposites, to showcase an age-gap romance, with a DDLg style relationship. Axel brings major alpha protector vibes, and I couldn’t get enough of this one.
What I enjoyed most was the emotional tension rolling off Axel, from wanting to love and fearing exposing himself that much at the same time. He is the quintessential rough, guarded, needs-distance Daddy, but the more he spends time with Opal, the more he is drawn into her and begins to crave her light in his dark world. The chemistry between these two was off the charts, almost burning my Kindle to the ground! Saccenti did a great job of blending the DDLg along with the MC Club, all together with the emotional connection and vulnerability needed to connect these two.
If you are looking to dip a toe into the MC romance world or want to deep dive into Age-Gap romance, then this series is one for both camps. I can’t wait to go back and read the other books in this series and hope that she continues down this vein because I couldn’t get enough!

This is book five in the series and can be read as a stand alone. I picked this book because I like reading MC books. This story line did not disappoint. I am giving it 5 stars because sometimes I feel like we all need to read a book that will take our minds off of everything around us and this book did the for me. It doe include some daddy kink, which is fine by me. It was written well enough that I found myself not getting frustrated with the characters but actually really enjoying the growth that they make throughout the book. I like the big older over protective characteristics of the MMC and I like that Opal (FMC) is younger and sweet but has a little bit of spice to her that makes her stand out to Axel. The more time Axel spends with her the more his feelings grow. Opal has some things happening in her life that Axel being the over protective alpha type is going to solve for her. There is a lot of steam in this book but it has depth to what is happening with the characters. I found it to be a nice blend of steam and story telling. I will be reading the rest in this series because if this book was that good the others should be amazing as well. If you are looking for an escape with some face fanning, blushing; then this book would be for you.

I love mc books. They are one of my favorite reads. This book was dark, protective, and possessive, Axel was the definition of the grumpy older man who acts like he doesn’t want the heroine… while basically obsessing over keeping her safe every second. And Opal brought a softer energy that balanced his intensity really well. The chemistry between them had that constant tension where you know they’re trying to resist each other, but it’s obvious from the beginning that neither of them really stands a chance. The isolated cabin setting made everything feel even more intense and emotional, especially once the danger and stalker situation started escalating. Axel definitely gives off that “touch her and die” energy, and if you like possessive MC heroes with Daddy Dom vibes, this one delivers. He’s controlling, protective, rough around the edges, but also surprisingly caring underneath all the growling and attitude. The suspense parts kept the story moving, and I liked that the relationship wasn’t instantly easy. The who 's who guide at the beginning really helps out if you are reading this as a standalone or even if you just need a refresher. Also you can read as a standalone but id say start from the beginning of the series for a clearer view of what's happening

This is another great read in the Devils Spawn Daddies series. It is an age gap, daddy/middle MC romance. It is full of chemistry, heat, danger and also an element of forbidden romance all wrapped up in an action packed story. This is Axel and Opals story.
Axel and Opal have had feelings for each other since the first day they met, however Axel thought the age gap was too much so he kept his distance from Opal. As Opal matured she realised she was after a particular type of man and to her Axel fits the bill.
After dancing around each other and Axel keeping his distance a dangerous situation forces them together. Could this be the opportunity for them to finally embrace what is between them? And when danger finds them and threatens their relationship how far will Axel go to protect the woman he loves?
I love these books, the men are hot and protective and exactly what I look for in my male lead. I also love how Opal isn’t a damsel in distress but a woman with a spark who definitely keeps Axel on his toes. I can’t wait to read more from this series

I just finished Axel and even though the whole Daddy kink really isn’t my thing, I still picked it up because I genuinely enjoy reading her books. Overall, the story is interesting. It’s a good mix of action, romance, and plenty of sexy moments. Axel was definitely a highlight for me. He’s got his head on straight, super smart, and very no-nonsense. The kind of guy who will protect the person he loves with everything he’s got.
Opal, though… I had mixed feelings. At times she comes across as smart and sweet, but then she throws tantrums that feel really childish, which got a bit annoying. I’m guessing that ties into her being a “middle” and the Daddy dynamic, which just isn’t something I personally connect with. And honestly, every time she called Axel “Daddy,” I cringed a little.
That said, putting my personal preferences aside, the book itself is engaging and worth the read. If you’re into the Daddy kink, you’ll probably love this one.

This story is by an author that I never hesitate to pick up as I know that I am in for a spicy romance. I have enjoyed their books from the first one I picked up. One of the things I enjoy about this author is the ability to pull me into the story and keep me engaged throughout. I also enjoy their creative details that make their characters pop off every page. This is a story about Opal and Axel. She is sweet with some sass but also has a stalker. He is tough and life has left him closed off. How far is he willing to go to keep her safe? I enjoyed both of these characters. They are strong, well written and connectable. They kept the story spicy with their attraction throughout the story. I enjoyed watching their growth and the growth of the plot. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that I found to be entertaining to read. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this story.

Having read a previous series from the author, I was excited to see what would happen in this book. I didn’t realize it was so far in the series, so I will definitely be checking out the previous books, but it could easily be read as a standalone which made my reading easier. I absolutely loved the dynamic between Axel and Opal. He tries so hard to ignore the chemistry that sparks between them, but she is determined to change his mind. He is so focused on the age difference and his previous heartbreak, he refuses to see that she could be a perfect fit. I loved that Opal wasn’t some weak damsel character, but she was sassy and stubborn and kept pushing for what she wanted. In the midst of all of this, we have a dangerous stalker who is targeting Opal and its up to Axel to keep her safe. The author does a great job creating characters that you will be rooting for and her steamy scenes really bring the heat. I can’t wait to check out the rest of the series!

I’ve picked up several books by this author and always loved them, so I’m not surprised that this one rocked my world in the best way ever. I had only read one other book in this series, and even though this one is book five in the Devils’ Spawn Daddies, it works well as a standalone. Be warned that after you read it, you’ll loop back and pick up all the previous ones anyway! One thing I love about this book is that the author does not have the entire story revolving around nothing but spice. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a spicy book (all the spice, please), but when the plot is being carried by it, I am not a fan. This one is written incredibly well, the pacing is perfect, the character development is intriguing, and yes, the steam is SO steamy! I couldn’t put it down and it seemed to fly by all too quickly. If you love books that combine intense drama, MC, age-gap and DD/Lg, I beg of you not to pass this up. I cannot wait to read the other books now!

Axel is trying his hardest to stay clear of Opal and he seems to be doing a decent job of it. Opal has a thing for Axel, she wants him to be her daddy. She tries everything to get his attention and nothing works. Through no fault of her own she finally gets him to notice her. If only it weren't for the fact that she is the target of a trafficking ring. Her stalker is closing in and Axel has no choice but to whisk her away to safety. Will he finally let go of the past and let his heart open up to love? Although I did enjoy this book and the storyline I am still unsure how I feel about this particular trope. I have read a few books that had an age gap but I don't know that I have read any with this particular set up. Even though I haven't read any of the other books in this series I don't feel like I missed anything. It does seem that some of the characters might have their own stories that I may delve into when I have time.

Axel: Devil’s Spawn Daddies is the fifth book in the Devil’s Spawn Daddies series by Victoria Saccenti. It is a contemporary romantic suspense/MC romance with an age gap, DDLG dynamic, Daddy kink, forced proximity, stalker tension, action, danger, chemistry, angst, emotion, dramatic developments, mystery, and emotion.
When a dangerous situation throws Axel and Opal together, the sparks that have been simmering between them finally get a chance to ignite…
Even though I am not a huge fan of the DDLG (middle) genre, Ms. Saccenti does it well in this story/series – so, if you love DD/LG and romantic suspense, then you might want to grab a copy of this and dive in.
The series consists of (so far):
-Cutter (Book #1)
-Barron (Book #2)
-Johnny Gun (Book #3)
-Deacon (Book #4)
-Axel (Book #5)
Happy Reading!

Victoria Saccenti is an author I always enjoy reading. Her books are all so well written and engaging and I never fail to become completely invested in them. This book is the fifth book in the series, although it can easily be read as a standalone. I did hesitate slightly before reading this book as it is one of my least favourite tropes and I was worried I would not connect with the characters like I normally do. However, as usual, the author has done a great job of creating such relatable characters.
I really enjoyed the dynamic between them, and watching them discover and explore more about the connection. The chemistry was undeniable and it made it hard not to root for them. I thought the story was a perfect fit for them as well. It complemented what the author had done with them and made for a really great story. This was another strong book to add to the series.

Axel: Devils' Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti. This is one of my favorite authors so I knew I would love this book going in and I was not disappointed. Its a MC romance that I have grown to love. Its about Axel who is burned out on romance and has been hurt to the point of only wanting to have one night stands but when he meets Opal something shifts. He is so attracted to her and their chemistry is off the charts but the age difference keeps Axel away from her. Opal may be young enough to be his daughter but she is highly attracted to him and wants him to be her DD. When young women begin getting kidnapped Axel takes Opal and hides her out so that he can keep her safe. These books can be read as standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to better understand the characters! I love this series and don't want it to end!

Book 5 of the Devils Spawn Series, however it can very much be read as a stand alone! I typically don’t dive into this type of book however I enjoyed it! Fairly spicy and a daddy kink (so if that turns you away this may not be the book for you!)
Opal was a young college student with her eyes set on an older MC member, Axel. Axel had eyes for opal, however he remained respectful due to her age and her ties to the MC. After Opal caught the eye of Eric and Axel learning of some missing girls around school his alarm bells went off. This caused Axels protective side to come out full force and flipped Opals life upside down now being under Axels protection 24/7. Will this recent change spark the longing they both feel for each other despite the reasons Axel originally chose to keep her at a distance?

Opal is in collage and there's girls missing from her school however until she's gone out on date with a jerk, even her best friend warned her about it, she didn't put it together at all. She just thought he was weird and stalkerish. Thankfully her sister and brother in law sent reinforcements to watch her while she was out and Axel stopped the guy not only from taking advantage of her but from possible kidnapping her. However in the parking lot at school her best friends car tire was slashed, but after she also was ran over and put in the hospital. Needless to say Opal had to get out of town asap and be put into protective custody of who better than Axel, her crush of almost a year and the man of her dreams! This does come from a daddy kink Series and should be read as such. Steamy and hot scenes.

Axel: Devils’ Spawn Daddies By Victoria Saccenti
Axel: Devil’s Spawn Daddies is a MC Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This is one of my favorites genre to read because I can feel like a bad girl for a bit even if it’s in my head. This author is one of my favorites and I’ve read several books by them. The characters are creative, raw, developed and complex. They kept you turning the pages till the end. This is Axel and Opal's story . He’s kinda grumpy and closed off, rough and she’s sassy and has a stalker. Axel will keep her safe. These two have some serious chemistry between them. Will the stalker be caught? This is a must read I highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Nice and quick read. I LOVE Opal, she does not back down from what she wants, and what she wants is Axel to be her daddy. Seeing how daddies treat their littles, why wouldn’t everyone want a daddy? The chemistry and love between Axel and Opal is there, it just takes Opal being in danger to finally snap him out of his own mind and into making his move. My heart broke for Opal’s friend Angie and all she has to go through at the hands of some psychos, thankfully it seems like her weirdo radar went off but not soon enough for my liking. Axel and Opal are perfect for each other. I really enjoy seeing another MC stepping in to help when times got tough, the bond of MC brothers just warms the heart. This was my first read, and I look forward to going back and reading the other’s stories!

Axel (Devils' Spawn Daddies #5) by Victoria Saccenti
This is not the first book I've read by the author. This author is hands down one of my go to authors. Axel is the fifth book in the Devil Spawn Daddies Series but can be read as a standalone.
Axel is the one who has fallen in love and he doesn't want anything to do with it. Then comes along Opal and he isn't sure how to act. When she is in danger he says this to someone: “Dude is pushing margaritas on her. She’s on her third. I can tell she’s wasted.”
Opal has had her eyes set on Axel as her daddy. Then he goes and ignores her. When he gets back she doesn't even notice that he helps her in more than one way. She says this to her sister: “He saw me getting sick? I must’ve been disgusting.”

If you love MC Romance or Age Gap Romance, then this book/series is for you! I feel like it can be read as a stand alone tho. This is my first time reading a Daddy Kink, but I couldn’t put it down!
This book has the emotional tension, emotional connection and vulnerability connecting the two main Characters (Axel and Opal) These two are complete opposites, Axel is a major protector/ alpha and I really love that in a MC! I love how this book immediately starts with the drama and spice! The spice was top notch and I ate it up!!
This book is very well written, I enjoyed the Stalker kidnapper plot also.
I will be telling all my book girls about this book!!

Axel: Devils’ Spawn Daddies is part of the Devils’ Spawn Daddies series and can be read as a standalone. It is a contemporary MC romance with strong Daddy/middle dynamics, suspense, danger, and emotional tension. Main themes include protection, obsession, age gap attraction, vulnerability, and the push and pull between desire and restraint. The storyline follows Axel, a hardened, older biker who tries to avoid Opal, the sweet, sassy woman who has wanted him from the start, until a stalker forces him to step in and protect her. Axel is guarded, intense, and convinced he’s too damaged for love, while Opal is determined, warm, spirited, and unafraid to fight for what she wants.

Axel has closed himself off to finding love after his past relationship messed him up. Opal knows what she wants and that is Axel since the first time she met him. Axel tries his best to stay away because in his mind Opal is too young and innocent for him. Axel admits to himself how really feels about Opal once he finds out she is in danger. As soon as these two start spending time together their chemistry is strong. This story contains romance, danger, suspense, family, and steamy moments. This was a quick, spicy and fun read for me. If this is your kind of genre then I think you will thoroughly enjoy reading this. I recommend this book.

Axel is a wild and addictive age-gap romance that perfectly balances the gritty world of a motorcycle club with an intense, protective DDLG dynamic. The chemistry between Axel, a guarded and grumpy alpha, and Opal, a sweet but spirited firecracker, creates a captivating push-and-pull energy that keeps the pages turning. Beyond the high-heat steam, the story offers surprising emotional depth as Axel’s rough exterior slowly unravels while he works to protect Opal from a dangerous stalker. It is a thrilling, messy, and heartfelt read that is a must for anyone who loves an alpha-protector hero and a high-stakes story.

Axel notices Opal right away and decides he must stay far away since there is a large age gap between them. Opal has been waiting for Axel to be her daddy for ages. I felt like there was a lot of lead up for the plot. Axel steps in to protect Opal when she is in danger from a stalker so there is the forced proximity there. The spicy scenes are extremely well written but I wish there were more! It also takes till halfway through the book to get the first one but it is a short book. I do love the dynamic between Axel and Opal and the chemistry they share. It's worth the read if you love age gap romance.
May 3, 2026
Axel is intense in all the best ways—dark, possessive, and layered with just enough edge to keep things interesting without tipping into chaos. The chemistry is immediate and heavy, and the dynamic hits that perfect balance of tension and heat that keeps you flipping pages way past when you planned to stop.
What I liked most is that it doesn’t try too hard. The story knows exactly what it is—dark romance with attitude—and leans into it. The pacing moves well, the emotions feel real enough to stay grounded, and the spice? Let’s just say it delivers without hesitation.

This is book 9 of this series, Devil Spawn Daddies. I feel like I am missing out on some information because this is book 9 of this series and I haven’t read all of the previous books for this series. I love reading about how each couple comes together, you know “Their Story” so this story is about Axel and Opal. I honestly didn’t expect the book to go the way it did but I am glad that it did. I don’t want to give up anything about this book, but I can guarantee that you will read it with in at least two days if you don’t go to work. I will say that there is more than just Axel and Opal’s story but I feel like it was trying to lead in to their storyline.

This is the 9th book in the Devils' Spawn Daddies series. The sub-genres for this book are DD/Lg; age-gap; MC. This is a well written book that just touches on the DD/Lg dynamic and the steamy scenes are well written. The stalker/kidnapper plot will keep you turning the pages to find out if they discover who the person is that is doing these things. Quick page turner. I really enjoyed this book. Was a great choice for a rainy day.

Wow I was in absolute little heaven. I have read many books by this author and was not disappointed by this one. As I am guilty of reading books outta series order again I am starting this series with book 5. I have to say this didnt effect my enjoyment any. I definately fed my daddy kink and will read the rest of this series. The book has a well balanced romance and drama with an engaging storyline. I have definately found another series to get lost in.

Axel is convinced that Opal is all wrong for him. He thinks of a few reasons why, such as being too old, and being a daughter of a friend. But he wants her! Opal on the otherhand has known from first sight that Axel is the man for her. She can’t understand why he’s avoiding her. When these two finally get together it is explosive. Their story is filled with action adventure and love!! Such a great book!! Don't forget to check out the others in the series too!!
