June literally runs away from her wedding and straight into the farm—and arms—of Jacob. It sounds like it could be a pretty standard romance setup, but the story actually feels quite different from the usual.

I read Dating the Cowboy right before this, and I really liked that Roping the Cowboy has the same storytelling style. The author takes what seems like an ordinary country life and gives it this soft, romantic, almost poetic atmosphere. The characters are surprisingly mature, thoughtful, and emotionally aware—not just about themselves, but about each other too. Honestly, they almost feel unrealistically in tune sometimes, but in a way that’s refreshing rather than unbelievable. It gives the whole story this calm, hopeful feeling that makes you wish real life worked a little more like this.

While working on a fence on Harlow Ranch, Jacob sees a beautiful, curvy woman in a wedding dress running towards him across the pasture. He helps her cross over the fence, and his life changes forever. June is in Whitetail Falls for her wedding, but had a change of heart and ran away, only to find a gorgeous cowboy and true love. This is a cowboy romance with a runaway bride twist. The writing is good, and the characters get their happily ever after. Roping the Cowboy is book five of the Whitetail Falls: Cowboys series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

“Roping the Cowboy” by Summer Rose
-A fun, flirty ranch romance packed with humor, chemistry, and effortless connection. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Jacob and June’s dynamic shines through teasing banter, quiet understanding, and bold attraction. With a runaway bride, age gap tension, and heartfelt moments, it’s a satisfying, steamy small-town read.

The author has given us an older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of June and Jacob. The heartwarming story keeps us turning the pages with a runaway ride, unexpected connection, acceptance and steam.

June and Jacob meet when she runs to his farm while running away from her wedding. These two are really in tune to the other even though there is an age gap. There’s heat, drama( even though he didn’t like it) and humor that draws you in and keeps you reading.

Deliberate

Jacob does everything for a reason, never hesitating only doing. Then June comes running in the pasture and she throws a wrench. She is unexpected, but also a deliberate choice.
This is a serious book, everything is straightforward, nothing by chance or feeling. You will not find warm and fuzzy in here.

The cowboy and the runaway bride - J really liked this shorty. Jacob and June are quietly attuned to each other, the age gap inconsequential as she is mature beyond her years. She found him on what should have been the happiest day of her life with another man. It was still a great day, though; she found the man she wanted to hold her heart forever. Great characters, main and extra, with a hint of passion.

Running to Not From

She came over the fence in a wedding dress, he helped her over and she took his apple. Fun, endearing story, family dynamics, interesting personal interactions and a melt your heart love. Awesome ending.
