Three Months Yesterday It took a little while to settle into for me. The first couple of chapters were difficult to get through, but I committed to it and sat with the story. Somewhere along the way, I found its rhythm, and after that, I enjoyed almost every bit of it.
What I didn't expect was how much this book would make me feel beyond the romance.
There were parts of Madison's story that brought me back to things from my own past—things I hadn't realised I still needed to process. Watching her experience difficult moments and, more importantly, watching the people around her show up for her gave me a kind of perspective and healing I wasn't expecting from this book. Chapter 28 especially stayed with me for that reason. It was painful, frustrating, and strangely therapeutic all at once.
I also really appreciated how much the book notices the little things. A glance, an ordinary conversation, a small gesture of affection—Erin Graves has a way of letting these mundane moments carry meaning. It made the romance feel lived-in rather than built entirely around grand declarations.
And the family was such an important part of why this worked for me. The protective brothers, the found-family feeling, and Beckett's steady presence all added so much warmth to the story. I particularly loved the kind of hero Beckett is: someone who doesn't need to constantly announce that he's there. He simply is. He makes space, protects without hovering, and has this quiet certainty about Madison that I found incredibly appealing. And watching him already be so soft with the baby before the baby is even born? Yeah. I was sold.
I also unexpectedly found myself rooting for Aiden, who we apparently get to see more of in the third book. I am already intrigued.
The only things that didn't quite work for me were certain overt physical-attraction thoughts that came in before a relationship or real understanding had developed. That's simply a personal reading preference, and it gives me an ick regardless of which character is experiencing it.
The other was the apology in Chapter 29. I found myself struggling with that resolution, but that's very much shaped by my own experiences with apologies that didn't lead to change. So this isn't a criticism of how the story handled it, but simply a moment that didn't fully resonate with me personally.
I went into this book specifically because I had been avoiding the not-his-baby trope, and I'm actually glad I gave it a chance. Sometimes a book doesn't just change your mind about a trope—it shows you why you were missing something by dismissing it altogether.
I loved the affection, the family, the emotional layers, the baby, the little everyday moments, and the way the characters learned to meet each other where they were.
And that epilogue? Exactly the kind of extra softness I wanted.

This is my first book by Erin Graves and I will definitely be reading more! It’s also the first in a new series for her and I am lucky enough to have read it as an ARC.
Madison owns/runs her family’s inn with cabins in a small town, Stonebridge Hollow. Beckett is a famous folk singer looking for a break and inspiration. A friend encourages him to take a long break at the inn, and when he does, he’s placed in a cabin next to Madison.
This is an incredibly sweet, touching story with a bit of spice. The budding relationship between Madison and Beckett is described so warmly and gently that it really grew on me and made the relationship seem all the more real. Both are clearly interested in each other from the start but given that Madison’s just ended a long relationship, she’s wary of starting something new so soon. Beckett, while fantasising (shown in the odd flash/sentence) about what could be with Madison, respects and waits for her. When they eventually do get together, it’s hot! I love ‘eyes on me’ scenes…
There’s an added twist related to Beckett’s fame which added a little bit of tension and mystery outside of the main story, which I really enjoyed. I also like that the characters aren’t all perfect (ref: Madison’s parents), and that those scenes aren’t left to fester as loose ends at the end of the story: while future books are teased a bit, this is clearly a standalone story. Madison’s pregnancy isn’t all super smooth sailing either.
I would perhaps have liked to read more about the practical running of the inn by Madison and Beckett’s career as a famous musician and how it is to be on the road, but this didn’t detract from the overall storyline for me.
Being the first in the series there’s a certain element of introductions going on, but this isn’t really an issue. Erin has also put in loads of effort to give the important characters distinct personalities, which really makes this story more interesting and engaging. Erin’s writing style flows well and there was absolutely nothing that jarred me out of the story. I particularly liked that Beckett and Madison communicate - this isn’t a story founded on miscommunication, which is refreshing.
All in all, if you like slow-burn love stories, with a surprise baby (not his baby but wanted and loved by both the FMC and MMC) with a bit of spice, this is the book for you!

Highlights: Three Months Yesterday is a very sweet slow-burn novel with many tropes I like a lot - “forced” proximity, surprise pregnancy (not his baby), small town local x out of towner. Character wise, Beckett and Madison are a great fit, and I love them together. They’re two very kind, thoughtful people both dealing with some difficult situations (more so on Beckett’s side of things) and even though they’re both attracted to each other on sight they take it slow and get to know one another. Beckett, especially in the last half, is a perfect book boyfriend; he takes care of Madison and respects her so completely it’s hard not to want a Beckett for yourself.
Lows: the pacing of this book is a little off; the first half is not just slow burn; it’s SLOW going. I loved the couple getting to know each other before the complications with Madison’s pregnancy are factored in, but even thought the pregnancy is very prominent in the promotions and summary, we don’t find out about it until halfway through the book. There is also a lot of telling not showing, especially in the first half, and some narration things that are perhaps not necessary and are part of what’s slowing down the beginning of the book.
My final thoughts are that I really enjoyed Madison and Beckett’s love story, and their romance is very much worth reading in spite of the pacing issues in the first half. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, as I do believe the further we get into this sweet small town the better it will get.

Madison’s life is already a bit of a mess when the story starts. Her long-term relationship ends, and she finds herself falling for the ridiculously attractive celebrity living next door. Then… she discovers she’s pregnant…
Because apparently life decided she needed all the complications at once!
I really liked Madison. She’s dealing with so much, but I loved that she had a strong support system around her. The close family relationships and the found-family aspect were definitely some of my favourite parts of the story. There’s something about a close-knit small-town community that just works for me.
Beckett was also a great hero. He’s dealing with his own issues, including a stalker and months of being unable to produce music, so I could understand why he was holding himself back. He’s instantly attracted to Madison, but he doesn't just rush into things, which made the romance feel more believable.
The tension between them was definitely a slow burn, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. There was attraction from the beginning, but there was also a lot of hesitation and uncertainty, especially with the differences in their lives and everything that came with it.
I also really liked seeing the softer side of Beckett. For someone who is a huge celebrity, he felt surprisingly down-to-earth, and I loved how comfortable he became with Madison and her family.
Overall, this was a sweet, emotional small-town romance with a good balance of family, found family, slow-burn tension and a hero who has his own baggage to work through.

WOW, just WOW. Beckett Stone is just perfection, so tender & sweet, kind, HOT... all the characteristic that we love. Even though he has his own demons and stalker, how he treats and loves Madison is beyond words. The way he feels for Madison and later her baby even though it is not his, how he claimed them both, made me swoon for him even more.
Madison has simple pleasures in that she loves her family inn, horses and the simple life. Even when she meets music legend Beckett Stone, she just learns more about him and not Googling him to find out all that has been reported on him.
I also loved the relationship that Madison has with her brothers, and Beckett has with his best friend Ryan. How Madisons brother accepted and formed a relationship with Beckett and supporting their relationship before they even became official.
Had my suspicions throughout about who the stalker was and my instincts where correct with the initial thoughts of Holly and also thinking that Adam had something to do with it…. Still left me shocked when the truth was revealed.
I am excited to read the other books in this series.

I am so obsessed with Beckett Stone!! This man is swoony and sweet and notices all the little things!
I love a man who steps up when doesn’t have to. The way he was automatically in for Madison and her baby was perfection. He even calls the baby nugget!!! I loved the underlying suspense with Beckett stalker and honestly had no idea who it could have been. It played out very well.
This story wrapped up so beautifully and had me with tears in my eyes at the end.
While I am a huge fan of not his baby, I almost gave up on this one. Madison doesn’t find out about the pregnancy until almost half way through the book. Making the second half move faster than the first half. However it did end up redeeming itself because of Beckett and his love for her! I would have liked to have seen a little more interaction with Beckett and Shep after he was born.
Overall I did enjoy this book and will definitely check out more from this author in the future.

The overall story is fine, and while you can smell the general plot from the first few pages, it’s still an enjoyable read. That said, I found myself wondering about quite a few things along the way. I wanted more details about what happened to her brother, and Beckett supposedly loved the cozy, homey feeling of the inn’s reception area, which is also such a big part of her life, but then it’s barely mentioned again. And the whole she doesn’t know his music thing? Okay, I can buy that… but she doesn’t even know his name? Pff.
The slow burn was really slow, perhaps a little too slow to get me hooked at the beginning. And, as it turns out, I’m not a huge fan of the “not his baby” trope either.
But all of this is definitely a matter of personal preference. Overall, I still enjoyed the read and had a good time with the story, even if a few things didn’t quite work for me.

Oh, such a heartwarming story! I loved it so much! The characters are real, loving and the story is what the doctor prescribed to settle the mind! For me, who had my 3 last books being very intense and psychologically intense, this is a breath of fresh air! It’s a story about a singer, very famous, and an Inn owner! How they get to know each other, especially being her almost the only human that didn’t know who he was, how stressful elements are dealt with (pregnancy, stalker, new love, past).
I greatly recommend this book!
Oh, such a heartwarming story! I loved it so much! The characters are real, loving and the story is what the doctor prescribed to settle the mind! For me, who had my 3 last books being very intense and psychologically intense, this is a breath of fresh air! It’s a story about a singer, very famous, and an Inn owner! How they get to know each other, especially being her almost the only human that didn’t know who he was, how stressful elements are dealt with (pregnancy, stalker, new love, past).
I greatly recommend this book!

Erin Graves starts off her new series, Forever in Stonebridge Hollow, with Three Months Yesterday. And may I just say, this book packs a punch!!
It’s one of those books you just don’t want to put down, yet you don’t want it to end either. Beckett is such a tender and loving MMC. He experienced not only loss, but all the things that may come with being in the public eye. However, this man is humble and absolutely gone for Madison.
Madison may be self described as an old soul, but she is truly one of the most well rounded FMc’s I’ve read in a while. A hard worker, a kind soul, and so so much more. This girl is authentically herself in a world where we try to fit in.
As these two navigate obstacles, their love for one another blossoms on page. It’s a beautiful read!
This is a slow burn you need to read!

This story was very well written and it’s was a cutesy small town romance. The MMC stepped up when the FMC found out about the pregnancy when it wasn’t his and I was here for it! We love a supportive man!
I felt it was a slight bit fast paced but not majorly, overall it was a good story and I did enjoy it, there was something about the story that made me drop my rating but I’m not quite sure as to what that was but regardless I would still recommend this story for small town romance lovers!

What I loved most about this book was how well the main characters were fleshed out. I felt for Madison and the discomfort she felt with her family. I felt for Beckett who seems to have everything in this world, but still feels lonely.
I also enjoyed seeing them fall in love gradually, and learning to build a life together, in this wonderful small town. This was an amazing start to the new series and I can’t wait for Wyatt’s book next.

This was such a delightful read! 😍 A charming celebrity small-town romance with a thrilling stalker twist, beautifully written and full of "awww" moments. The author perfectly balanced the relationship's pace with suspense, and the banter between Beckett and Madison was just adorable. So grateful for the ARC and eagerly awaiting book 2 ❤️
