Quick and Easy…..loved it!!!

I ate this one up. It was low angst and the transition from fiends to lovers was so smooth. Now Jamal was working my nerves but Daddy O let him know often what it was and what it wasn’t. Tanon never lets me down.

Keeping a baby with a man you don’t like, don’t wanna be in contact with will never make sense to me especially when it’s early enough to terminate. Great author good writing but in order for the feel good fluffs of a story to set in common sense has to be priority

Friends-to-lovers where everyone already knows y’all are basically a couple except y’all will always do it for me! There’s something about that seamless transition when there’s not any confusion or back-and-forth. Just “WHAT TOOK US SO LONG TO GET IT TOGETHER?!?”

Omar is the blueprint for book boyfriends! The way he catered to and anticipated McKenna’s needs was top tier. I loved how he balanced being gentle and attentive while still knowing when to lay down the law (because McKenna was giving just a little brat at times and I was here for it 😏).

What really worked for me was the security between them. McKenna never questioned whether Omar had her back, and I appreciated that she didn’t fight him on showing up for her. It made their connection feel easy in the best way.

This was a low-angst, genuinely enjoyable read that still kept just enough tension to stay engaging. Perfect for in between heavier books or when you just want to dive into something soft and full of secure love.

My only complaint is that I wanted an epilogue. I wasn’t ready to let them go yet😫

Cute lovers to friends story

I don’t know that I’ve read a lot of lovers to friends stories, but I did enjoy McKenna and Omar’s story. The plot twist was a good one too.

4.5 ⭐️ McKenna"Ken" Rogers and Omar Dixon were best friends growing up. Not wanting to give anything away, life events made Omar realize he needed to tell his friend his true feelings.
I love how the shift happened without any hesitation and it happened quickly in the book. This was a friends to lovers done right! This book was a really good, quick read and just what I needed after reading two heavy books.
