If you haven't read a novel by Iesha Bree, you can expect to read about bold independent women and Smooth, Charming Men ready to mend broken hearts. Each novel penned to heal and show each woman they're worthy of love.
I am an Indie Author! So be on the lookout for that!! Cover Designer, and reader. I have been reading all types of books by many different authors for years and I just love the idea of love so I decided I should share what I dream and hope to have someday! I'm also a military brat, so I always have this itch to travel to a new place that's another one of my passions. I have a book club if you're interested in getting sneak peeks to my new books, as well as participate in deep book discussions, and my character introductions to new series! lookup
(3.5) I liked the premise of this story. A fresh start for a Hollywood starlet and the head of a motorcycle club? Yes please.
Solana and Duke had an immediate attraction, and I enjoyed the slow build of their relationship. Their friend group was also a highlight! Julez was probably my favorite. I appreciated the intentional healing we got, especially with Duke and his parents, and seeing Solana take her power back in the stalking situation.
That said, I do wish some of those moments were more fleshed out on page. A few scenes felt like they could’ve gone deeper emotionally. The pacing also dragged a bit in places, and then the ending kind of did the opposite. There was a lot happening, not just with Solana but with some outside characters too. Some of it felt a little random and not fully explored, so I’m left with questions. I’m wondering if that was intentional and possibly setting up future books.
Overall, even with some of the more dramatic elements, this was still a generally light read with a strong focus on healing, found family, and living life on your own terms
3.5 stars interesting enough but not an overwhelming complex and riveting story. Happy it all worked out for duke and Solana but around the 60% mark it just began to drag for me.
Yes, Ms. Bree, you did your big one with this one. I felt like this series was going to be fire once the first book was released. Now all I need is for Mrs. Kimberly Brown to drop another installment in this series. It's most definitely more couples in the making. Let's discuss the star of this masterpiece. Duke and Solana started as a glance and ending with a dream come true. Solana made the right decision with starting over in Rose Haven. The cop that slipped her the note was an angel from above the clouds. Rose Haven brought more of her gifts to the forefront. Sugar Kissed was a grand slam in that small quaint town. Duke was the man she needed in her life. He didn't have a weak bone in his body. He was a hard-working leader who led the Thorns down the right path. He did have his own serious family issues, though. He went hard for the ones he loved. He loved his grandparents with all of his heart. He grew to love Solana as well. He went to bat for her each and every time. He had to because her ex-manager was loco. He became her lover, protector (bodyguard), and provider while she got her life back on track.
Ladies and gents get into this series for a few reasons. First and foremost, the covers are beautiful, and two these books touch on topics from family dynamics to stalking. You will be intrigued from the beginning to the end. I am anticipating the next one because it's some more couples in the making.
This book gave me all the feels. Duke and Solana? Whew. From the moment they met, it felt like an undeniable connection. That instant spark, that “this is it” kind of energy… yeah, it was giving love at first sight in the best way. Watching Solana leave everything behind and start over in a small South Carolina town took courage, and then here comes Duke. The way he helped quiet her thoughts and ease her fears? Pure poetry on a page. And I knew something was off with that manager from the jump. The second that press conference happened, I was side-eyeing hard like, “Yeah… something ain’t right.” Glad I wasn’t wrong. But what really made this story special was Rose Haven. When Solana arrived, the way the community embraced her and wrapped her in love and support just felt so real and comforting. It wasn’t just a romance, it was about healing, belonging, and finding peace where you least expect it. I loved every minute of this book. Honestly… just take me to Rose Haven already.
I loved the general storyline of the book - and I loved both characters Duke and Solana!
I did feel like it took some time to really get to Duke and Solana's path's crossing, but once the story started moving it really started moving! I also felt there were a few things that were repetitive and some topics that I wished we had more detailed information about.
Overall, I did enjoy this read and I would recommend it to others!
Do they have room for me in Rose Haven? 😮💨 I loved the chemistry between Solana and Duke and the way they slowly became a safe place for each other while danger was still lurking in the background.
I enjoyed Duke and Solana’s journey to their happily ever after. Solana left LA in fear for her life and found safe haven, love, friendship and family in a small town on the other side of the country. I loved that she was able to find all that she was missing by being in the spotlight and I enjoyed seeing her find herself and come into her own once she decided to leave the spotlight behind. I also loved that she found live with Duke. He was a protector in every sense of the word. He loved him some Solana and she felt the same. Their journey may have started a bit slow, but once it started, it was all gas and no breaks.
I couldn’t imagine going through all the things Solana went through before she ran from the threat to the assault to the stalking. One thing that kept baffling me in the beginning was the lack of security or body guards for Solana especially after all the threats, but I definitely understood her need to run and start a new life.
The story was enjoyable and I liked the secondary characters and I’m hoping for more on them in the future.
I knew this was gonna be good but dang sis you did your big one with this one here!!!! First off I love love love Solana and Duke! That’s that undeniable connection just from first look/encounter! Jess and Aubree are amazing friends and her support system in Rose Haven are everything a girl needs especially when she’s figuring out her new life! I wanna taste those sweet especially every time she has a new addition! I love the reappearance of our lovely Benny! Now I will say at first o was afraid of the officer but it didn’t last long. Henderson has always got on my nerves and I didn’t care for Desiree AT ALL!!! We have seen it before and said it before but your past will ALWAYS show up especially when you’re not living in full truth! You have to faces all your problem and Duke and Solana had to do it solo while at the same time supporting one another! I finished this read within 24hours! Oh and I got an advance copy!!!! You do NOT want to pass up this piece of art. Iesha never disappoints!!! 5 🌟 of course
Small-town romance will always have my heart, and my second trip to Rose Haven did not disappoint.
Solana and Duke had that instant, undeniable chemistry you could feel from the start that something about their connection was different. Solana came to Rose Haven looking to escape the chaos of Hollywood and find herself again, and what she found instead was peace, community, and the kind of love she didn’t even realize she needed.
The character development was on point, the pacing felt just right, and the supporting cast truly brought the story to life. Benny made a quick appearance (always a good time), the biker crew added that extra edge, and Ms. Lottie was as sweet and grounding. I felt her hugs jump off the damn page!
Duke… whew. A natural-born protector in every freaking way. The way he could command a room or Solana with just a look, a word, or even a gesture? Yeah… that man knew who he was, and he carried it well. Duke had BDE and we didn’t even need anyone to tell us !
This story was well written and has easily become one of my favorites. ❤️
Well, I always knew I would love me some Duke. The way he showed up for Solana was everything. I will say yes, I peeped, who this stalker was from jump. But I still was taken aback. How far he went, like damn psycho. I love that she really was able to find herself in what she really wanted to do with her life. Though that could not have been easy and im glad the chemistry was there with Duke. Duke was very much a complex character in his own right definite leader and protector and with what he was going through with his own parents. I was very happy when the situation reached a point where they were able to really talk out everything. An accountability grandparents, Thank you because I was waiting. But I definitely enjoy this story, and i'm kind of looking forward. If there's a book with like jessa and apollo, cause she is a bold one and I love that about her, and for that man to silence that spirit in a sexy way, i know there is a story there.
This was not a slow burn but a book of respect and protection. I loved Duke and the way he navigated all things for the club, this bar, and the community. He let people dispose themselves even when he has intuition. Now his red flags was his family. My boy had some deep routed abandonment issues. His respect for his biologicals were slim to none. I am happy the talk was had because although he loved his grandparents he side-eyed their behavior as well.
Now Solana, girl, you did the right thing until you didn't. I understood every move you made and even the decisions to stay close to the shadows. However, your face card was not going to decline. I am happy you let your friends in because they had your six. Your mother would have been proud. You are no longer alone.
This book was sensual with a lot of humping, support, and true friendship.
I had been sitting on this book for almost a month. I was so hyped about this book! I had almost forgot who Duke was till those Skittles were brought up. Then I was like OOOOHHHHH!! LOL. Just know I want to now go visit Rose Haven.
Solana and her past was sad and crazy! I picked up really quick who her stalker was but it did not change my mindset about the situation at all. I am happy she found peace, love, and family. Most importantly she found her voice!!!
Duke was A MAN!!! A protector, provider, safe space, and a lover! A true leader. Just wow! His family situation is so common but it doesn't feel any sadder. He had to show forgiveness to make sure he could really open his heart to Solana.
The people of Rose Haven are wonderful and funny and loving! I am hoping for more books from there!

I love this book. I went through many emotions while reading the book. I love Duke and Solana. It was beautiful how Duke was willing to protect Solana no matter what. I was glad Solana was able to release everything and find her peace. Sometimes, it takes you walking away from things to find what your calling is. Also, people who are in your lives can be jealous and worse people. You never know who is really in your corner. I was glad Rose Haven gave Solana a chance to be who she needed to be. Each person in this small town showed Solana that she was meant to be there. She found a family. I would recommend this book.
The story is everything love is about. Patience, kindness, genuine compassion, and willingness to fall and trust the person you fall for. Duke was a real certified boss and lover boy. Solana needed comfort, family, peace, and real love and Duke and Rose Haven provided her with all of that. She found family and built life long bonds with the people she’d only known a short while and they gave her everything she had been missing. They healed and loved each other in the healthiest ways. Easily a favorite love story forever for me. 10/10 hands down.
4.5 ⭐️. I enjoyed this storyline. Small town romance. Famous actress Amore’s life has been placed in danger and uncomfortable situations due to a deranged stalker. She finally decides enough is enough and moves to a small town called Rose Haven. While there, she really blossoms into her happiest. There’s new love, built bonds and found family. Duke got her just giggling all the time which I love for her. I hope to see more of these characters. Especially Casper.
Solana and Duke...these two gave me everything I needed! I kept thinking, I know Rose Haven and it clicked with Benny and Willow. Duke definitely was that man who could meet you wherever you were, and Solana had run enough til when Duke began his pursuit she didn't have a lot of running left in here which was perfect for me. The way Duke was stepping... she didn't need to run. I definitely hope to see us back in Rose Haven soon. Happy Reading Y'all!💋
Solana is one strong sista! Everything that tried to break her she crushed it. Her sudden move to Rose Haven was the best thing for her. Duke is a quiet force. He doesn't say much, but when he speaks it's powerful and he means business. The way the love was built between these two was so realistic it felt like a movie. I can't wait for the rest if the Rose Haven love stories. Especially playboy Juelz 😂 he needs to meet his match, or has he already🤔
When I think of a romance novel, this is what I want to feel while reading it. Such a beautiful love story. When both the FMC and MMC are trying to deal with experiences that could have broken them and they are trying to heal; my,my,my!
I had all the feels, all the emotion, all the love! Duke and Solana made me ride the roller coaster with them and I loved it!
such a cute read! Who doesn’t love a Black motorcycle crew with a little edge and a lot of heart? The vibe was fun, the romance hit just right, and Duke… yeah, we all need a Duke in our lives. Definitely an enjoyable, easy read if you’re into love stories with a little grit and charm.
This book was so good I usually don’t care for slow burns but from the beginning this book had me open.Duke babe definitely was giving all that BDE and I was here for all that he played no games about his Sweets🫠.Duke and Sweets is definitely on my tops of favorite book bae’s ❤️. Aubree and Janess definitely riders and Julez and Rico 😍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved these two main characters! From their meet cute, dates, and found family moments I loved their story.
Tropes:
Small town Fmc in hiding/danger Motorcycle club president mmc Secret identity (she's a Hollywood actress) Found family Ow/om drama Protective dirty talker mmc
3.5 stars! I’ve enjoyed my return to Rose Haven with Duke and Solana. Their story was funny, emotional, hot and a little suspenseful. I will always pick up a Black small-town romance where the friendships are plentiful and the nosey neighbors are spilling the towns tea. We had plenty of those moments here including some Biker gang business.
Iesha does it again! I am loving this Rose Haven series. It was such a warm feeling reading this book. I wondered about Duke in Until the Ink dries. He seemed mysterious so to see inside his life was nice. He stood 10 toes down for Solano and I just loved their dynamic. Great read!
I loved everything about this book!!! Even down to the conflict with the main characters and how it was resolved. Duke stood 10 toes for his sweets and I swooned from the moment they met through the epilogue. I also see a few spinoffs brewing…
Book 2 was just as good as book 1. I love the dedication of the men of Rose Haven. Sweets and Duke balanced she other. And I’m glad that they both sought out therapy to work through the trauma from their past. Healing together is beautiful in a relationship.
I love these characters so much! Duke and Solana were so easy to read about and love. This book had some drama but their love was so sweet, warm and healing. I smiled so much reading about Duke and Solana.
This book was like a Hallmark movie with a lot of spice added. I enjoyed reading this story. Duke wasn’t playing about Solana. It was nice to see the growth and healing between both of them! Hopefully Jessa and Aubree get their own story as well.
