It’s not easy being a Woman of the Multiverse, but Kitty’s definitely the Megalomaniac Girl for the job.

After a mad dash around the galaxy, saving the day in various important ways and expanding the Annocusal Empire left and right, all Kitty & Company want to do is go home. But that’s not in the particular hand they’ve been dealt. On their way to Alpha Four to make Emperor Alexander feel like he hasn’t been left out, Kitty and eleven others are tossed into a different universe at the snap of some very powerful fingers.

They’re not sent to just any universe, either. They’re in the Steampunk Universe and things are very different there – and not just due to the technological divergence between Kitty’s universe and this one. Starting with them being surrounded by ships that are redefining the term “unfriendly” – because this universe has been embroiled in galactic war for centuries.

Friends are enemies, enemies are friends, people alive in one universe are dead in this one and vice versa is old news for Kitty, but new news for everyone else with her. The Victorian Era still reigns supreme here, meaning everyone’s attitudes are a lot less free and easy than Kitty’s used to.

But the biggest discovery is the worst one – instead of being Kitty’s husband and a total hero, the Jeff Martini in this universe is an evil murderer who’s aligned his entire empire with the Z’porrah, and that means the good guys are losing...

Gini Koch started writing in the American Southwest as something to do in between staring at pictures of good-looking leading men, but now sweats out the words, both literally and figuratively, in Hotlanta and dreams of dry heat.

She’s best known for her award-winning Alien/Katherine “Kitty” Katt series formerly from DAW Books and now with Ginger Blue Publishing, which started with Touched by an Alien and has seventeen books and one collection out currently, with eighteen through twenty-two on the way.

Gini’s made the most of multiple personality disorder by writing under a variety of other pen names as well, including G.J. Koch (the Alexander Outland series), Anita Ensal (The Belters Series, A Cup of Joe), Jemma Chase (The Disciple and Other Stories of the Paranormal), A.E. Stanton (the New West Series and the Legend of Belladonna series), and J.C. Koch, all with stories featured in excellent anthologies, available now and upcoming. She’s expanded the fun by writing mysteries with co-writer Bebe Bayliss (the Fall’s Girl Mysteries and the Santa Paloma Mysteries).

No matter what length – from science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, space opera, urban fantasy, horror, mystery, thriller, dystopian, Westerns, romantic suspense, and more – if it’s genre, she writes it.

She’s an avid follower of pop culture, comics, and anything and everything animated. She’s still inspired mostly by good-looking leading men (particularly her husband) and driven to keep her Canine Death Squad and Killer Kitties in kibble and treats.

I looked in store last week and they looked up the release date. It's 2080. I'm 72 and won't last that long. How about an almost good enough book in a sooner time line?

Kitty and co. are back and more intergalactic than ever!

Gini Koch’s Alien Series (aka Katherine “Kitty” Katt-Martini Series) has been in a long hiatus, but we finally got our favorite adventurers back in action.

After the cliffhanger we found ourselves in Alien Abroad, things looked quite dire, but as usual Gini and Kitty deliver an astounding interstellar and multiverse journey in Aliens Like Us, that will leave you breathless from start to finish.

I have to say that, Marvel Studios could learn a thing or a thousand about how Gini writes multiverse stories. The way the characters are so well written, interconnected and also so different, makes for superb storytelling.

I really don’t want to spoil a second of Aliens Like Us to any of you, however I will say I was worried that it would feel a bit like a filler since it became two books. I should have trusted Gini, because as usual she delivers everything we might in spades. Action, turmoil, relationships, superpowers, intrigue, intergalactic politics, love and so much more!

Aliens Like Us is everything I could have hoped for, and despite it owing sort of a parte one, it does not leave you with a bad taste in your mouth, but it does leave you hoping December was already here :)

Yes, this is part of an amazing series that I love and I do recommend reading it all, including Alien Collection. Despite that, I feel that Gini does a great job in immersing her audience, so you can quite enjoy this novel without the rest, though be warned: you will be consumed and run to get the rest of the series!

Finally! After 6 or so years I finally have the book in my hot little hands (well, my iPad) and was able to continue on with the adventure of Kitty & Co. as they deal with finding themselves in a different reality - gotta love the multiverse - where loved ones are now enemies, and some enemies might not be that bad at all. Flew through this in under 5hrs, and while the beginning was a bit slow (all that talking with the doubles, and other non-action related things), but once we got going it was great. Watching Kitty do what she does best is so entertaining. However, once I noticed I was getting closer to the end I realised that this book was not going to end as books in this series have previously. We weren’t getting this adventure/battle wrapped up while still dealing with the overarching plots, but instead after the characters have a massive WTF moment, we are left dangling… 😱 how could the author do that to us now! 😵… but thankfully book 18 should be out this year, so I guess we won’t have to wait too long to see how this all shakes out.

Definitely a series to read from book one, but can’t recommend this series highly enough 🥰

Gini koch has done it again! This book was well worth the very long wait we had for it & like all the books in this series the ending left ne going “seriously?!” I need the next book asap!

What I liked was that I didn’t re-read any of the books before starting this one, and had no trouble picking up the plot and didn’t feel lost at all. It was like welcoming back old friends you hadn’t seen in awhile.

I really liked that we had more involvement with the kids in this one & I think Kristie is my new favorite secondary character. :)

Worth the wait!

I've waited so long for Kitty's next adventure, thinking before it comes out I'll reread her earlier books to catch up. Finished all of them and just finished her latest. Kitty continues to rule, just as kickass with help from Jamie and Charlie. If you have never read an Aliens book you don't know what you are missing. Lots of action, romance and did I mention Action! Only complaint is the cliffhanger, hope it isn't a long wait.

Hooray for more Kitty Adventures

Kitty and Friends are sucked into another Parallel Universe containing a Evil King Jeff amongst other problems. In addition they based their technology on steam and mechanics instead of Oil and self combustion engineering. In other words this is a Steampunk Universe but are they ready for our Kitty Katt? Lots of fun as usual but beware this is going to be a two parter. Now need book 18.

I've been waiting for another Kitty book for years. I always enjoy how she thinks and acts and lives large. However I feel like far too much space was given to things like which side characters lived in the steampunk universe and where everyone was sitting on the spaceship and what each pet (there are a lot of pets) was doing, which dragged down the pacing a lot. To the point where after 61 chapters the book came to a To Be Continued ending.

I am happy to finally get this book

I absolutely 💯 love this book I can’t wait until the next one comes out. This book will give us the opportunity to understand how another universe works.

Losing the love I had for this series. Instead of being episodic it's become a soap opera with seemingly random breaks. Second book in a row where the primary story is To Be Continued

Emotionally resonant and deeply satisfying. The author handles complex themes with nuance and care. You’ll laugh, you’ll reflect, and you might even cry. A standout.

Massive fan of the series. Love alternate realities, what ifs, this book is all that. Alternate versions of the favorite characters. Steampunk, which I’m new to but really enjoyed. So happy to have this book, definite recommend the book, and the entire series, to all
