This started off pretty good, like I was genuinely engaged especially because this is a saphic romance but around the 40ish% mark, it started getting redundant. Like certain sentences, frases, and descriptions were being reused word for word MULTIPLE times and it felt like it was just going in circles. I just kind of ended up getting bored with it because the main chunk of the entire book was just looping around and around Eve trying to keep her spot on the team and it was just unproductive and empty.

I was hoping that as I got closer to the ending that perhaps I would get some substance and or maybe a little more excitement but it waa just as flat and totally underwhelming.
Another thing that really really really bother me was the cover... I'm not acusing the author of anything but there was something about the cover that just seemed off and I felt that it looked like maybe AI was used. I couldn't put my finger on it til I was on the last 2 chapters that I took a closer look at the cover and noticed that there is a hand against the locker behind Riley that is most definitely NOT attached to any body in the image. Its just a random ghost hand I guess and Eve clearly has her hands down at her side. So that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth and leaves me questioning if AI was used to create the story itself in any way.

The Goal was somewhat of a slow burn hockey romance that turned into an instant page turner. I didn’t realize it was a hockey romance til I started reading and laughed out loud at myself.
Riley is tall, loud, and kinda obnoxious on the ice where Eve is quieter and tries to hide herself. What a pair of opposites that just work beautifully together while bringing the high heat of tension.
I was totally blown away when getting near the end, and Riley makes a startlingly profound realization about herself that is just deliciously obvious at that point about Eve and what Eve brings to Riley’s life.
Reading The Goal That Got Me was an absolutely gratifying story that was a delight to devour as fast as possible. Thank you Aurora North.

Loved the characters and the plot but the details of the characters were starting to get mixed up. So made repetitive details you have to power through the last half.

I love everything by this author. It's laugh out loud funny, heartfelt, and relatable. The characters are amazing. Can't wait to read all of her books.

Why are sport romances literally just the best. The one liners and chemistry between the characters were great. Loved it!
