Zatanna does not simply “apply for a job.” No. She launches herself into corporate life like a woman who has been personally victimized by capitalism and is one missed bill away from screaming into the void. She sees a job listing with a suspiciously large salary and instead of questioning it like a sane person, she fires off her resume… except she doesn’t. She sends a voice recording. A very personal voice recording. The kind of recording that should never see daylight, let alone land in the inbox of a Bratva king.

Enter Aleksei Vasiliev.
Silver‑haired CEO.
Billionaire pakhan.
A man who looks like he was carved out of marble and stress.
The kind of boss who doesn’t need to raise his voice because the air pressure changes when he walks into a room.

Zatanna becomes his assistant not because she’s qualified, but because fate has a sense of humor and Aleksei has the emotional subtlety of a thunderstorm. She’s trying to survive her first day, and he’s out here sending her “demands” like he’s ordering the universe to rearrange itself. She’s flustered, overwhelmed, and operating on the kind of chaotic energy that makes you want to hug her and smack her gently with a pillow at the same time.

And then she walks into his office at the worst possible moment. The kind of moment that makes you want to close the book, stare at the wall, and whisper, “Girl… GIRL.” Zatanna freezes like a deer in headlights, Aleksei freezes like a man caught in a moment he absolutely did not plan to share, and the tension becomes so thick you could slice it with a butter knife.

Zatanna tries to pretend she’s fine. She is not fine. She is one more Aleksei stare away from short‑circuiting. And Aleksei? He’s out here being calm, controlled, and devastatingly intense, the kind of man who could make a grocery list sound like a threat. He claims her innocence with this quiet certainty that knocks the wind out of her, and suddenly the entire dynamic shifts.

Then she discovers she’s pregnant.
And not just pregnant — pregnant with the pakhan’s baby.
The universe is laughing. Aleksei is not.

Zatanna spirals. Aleksei recalibrates like a man who has just been handed a new mission. The emotional chaos ramps up, the stakes get higher, and suddenly this isn’t just a job — it’s a collision course between a woman who never meant to fall into this world and a man who refuses to let her walk back out of it.

This book is pure Archer madness: dramatic, addictive, emotionally messy, and absolutely drenched in that “I didn’t ask for this chaos but I’m invested now” energy. Zatanna is a lovable disaster, Aleksei is a silver‑fox menace with a CEO title, and together they create the kind of tension that makes you want to pace the room.

A wild, dramatic, corporate‑mafia roller coaster where Zatanna tries to stay sane, Aleksei tries to claim everything in sight, and the universe sits back with popcorn watching the chaos unfold.

Dirty Demands was like my side door mudroom. Mostly AI with promising story strewn about. Dark and smutty enough to disguise the lack of plot, repetitive hollow characters without speech patterns that match their life. the best part was Zatanna’s side job as an erotica narrator. Billionaire bratva Alexei finds out and has his IT guy download her entire catalog. He then starts a spank wank a thon in his office. Proceeds to steam up windows and does not notice Zatanna peeping on him at first. it was cheezy but memorable.

Dirty Demands!

Overall plot of story, I liked. But there were so many things that kept changing that just became harder to overlook. Earlier stuff that I found annoying whilst reading and overlooked it. For example in one scene at the office in the break room Zatanna is sitting on a sofa, it clearly makes mention of this twice, and then all of a sudden she’s sliding down off a counter. What counter? When did she get up from the sofa it mentioned she was sitting on twice and get on a counter??? Also, I swear in the beginning when he finds out that if he fails to marry and have an heir within the year, then everything goes to his cousin. A cousin was never mentioned again after that! Then his father enters and suddenly the will has been changed so if Aleski fails to marry and produce an heir within a year, then his father inherits everything. Okay, I went along with that, because it did also say that his father had the will changed. But the one thing that I couldn’t just overlook and what made me drop it down to a 2 star rating, was that the book went away from the whole point of the book completely! Time and time again, it was mentioned that Aleski had to marry and produce an heir within a year. Then everything was I have to have a bride in a week! Then there is a part in the book where it jumps ahead to 8 months later. Still not married! But not a big deal as there’s still 4 months left. But then the book jumps ahead 2 years later…still not married!!! But never any mention again of him having to be married or lose everything he inherited from his grandfather! I mean, hello, that was the entire plot of this book!!! But that all just completely disappeared from the storyline!

Like I started with, overall I liked the idea of this book and the majority of the story, but I couldn’t rate it any higher than a 2. I was also, really looking forward to reading more from this series, but I don’t know that I can get through another one if everything keeps changing in it. So, I can’t fully recommend this book and I really wanted to!

Dirty Demands is a Contemporary billionaire romance with Bratva undertones that delivered an intensely good narrative, and whose FMC Zatanna DeLaurentis is currently scraping the bottom of the barrel of life. Overdue bills, late rent, the list goes on.
The only thing giving her some small relief financially was the audio erotica she records.
One of those recordings she accidentally attaches to an email job application and the rest is going to be history when CEO of Vasiliev Holdings listens to it and she is hired as his personal assistant.
Aleksei Vasiliev has his own problems after finding out his grandfather’s estate will not go to him if he hasn’t married and had a child within twelve months.
Aleksei is a stubborn Pakhan though and has Zatanna looking up possible society women as prospective wife material for him even as he keeps denying how much the voice he first heard has taken residence in his head along with how he is physically attracted to Zatanna. Hello…perfect wife material right in front of you!
Loved the story but it could have been a lot shorter and retained the same intensity, danger, humor, family/Bratva dynamics, angst, surprises, emotion, passion, and spice.
The writing was good, the characters nicely crafted and I wish I could have seen the look on Aleksei’s face when FINALLY they do the deed and he discovers his recorder of erotica is a virgin…priceless.
The story gets five stars from me because it entertained, and kept me engaged despite its length, and some inconsistencies, but I did get that HEA I so desperately needed but not before an OMG twist I kind of saw coming!.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Aleksei sexy as all get out grumpy extremely complex with demands of marriage, a child on his shoulders ordered by his grandfather or he will lose everything, he is dangerous, ruthless, on a good day deadly every day and knows he has to find a women that can accept all his different faces that he present to the world. Zatanna, an erotic recorder just trying to make enough to live applies for a job as an assistant to a large company but accidentally attaches an erotic recording. Aleksei received her application and of course he offers her job, but her job is to find him a wife which she finds is difficult but they both found out is the more time they spent together the closer they grew to each other also throw in attempted shootings, attempted kidnappings of Zatanna. Aleksei wants his girl but he knows bringing her fully into his world means she would become his weakness for all enemies so pushing her away is his only option but when a erotic recording is found and those she work with and of course she resigns leaving him but he wasn’t going to let her leave like that so he sets out to find her but will he find her in time, will she be okay, will she understand or go back to work for him, and will they find happiness?

Aleksei is a complex man who per his Grandfather’s will has to find be wedded and have a child within a year or lose his assets. Zatanna, is employed as an erotic recorder and is barely scraping by. She applies for a job as an assistant for a large company and accidentally attaches an erotic recording. When Aleksei listens to the recording, he definitely has a reaction and Zatanna is offered the job. Zatanna is the opposite of her recordings and Alesksei is intrigued. Zatanna’s job is to find Aleksei a wife, which proves difficult when they develop feelings for each other. There are shootings, and attempted kidnappings of Zatanna. Aleksei wants Zatanna, but knows she will be his weakness for his enemies and tries to push her away to keep her safe, especially from his father who wants Aleksei’s assets. Zatanna makes friends at her job, however someone releases her erotic recordings to the staff, and she is humiliated and resigns immediately. Aleksei spends 8 months trying to find her and does in the nick of time, while 2 men attempt to take her. There is a surprising twist towards the end of the book.
Aleksei and Zatanna get the HEA and the epilogue was great.

Liz came out with another great book that I was hooked on from the start until I finished the story. I instantly loved the twist in this forced marriage romance. Aleksei has a year to find a wife, so he hires the woman he can't resist to do it for him... Sounds like a solid plan to me until it wasn't. Aleksei is a hard one to crack; I found him very hot and cold and exasperating, just like Zaranna did. Zaranna was very relatable—barely making ends meet and doing anything to stay afloat. She seemed like the sweet girl-next-door that you want as a best friend. Their connection was instant and sizzling hot, but Aleksei would pull back just as quickly. Their tension kept me on the edge of my seat with the will-they-won't-they energy. The high suspense, shocking betrayal, the push-and-pull, and extremely steamy moments made this book irresistible. Dirty Demands delivers exactly what you hope for in a steamy, emotionally charged romance — sizzling chemistry, high heat, and plenty of tension to keep you turning pages. The dynamic between the characters feels genuine and electric, making both the intimate and dramatic moments stand out beautifully. The plot has strong intrigue, blending passion and power in a way that hooks you right from the start.

My only issue was with the storyline’s timeline. The first half of the book centers around the MMC needing to marry and produce an heir within a year to secure his inheritance, but when the FMC leaves, the story skips ahead eight months and that entire plot point seems forgotten. The timeline never really gets resolved, which felt a bit strange considering how central it was earlier. Still, despite that hiccup, I really enjoyed the heat, the emotions, and the overall chemistry between the leads — it’s definitely a steamy read worth picking up.

This steamy billionaire romance with Bratva vibes kicks off when broke and desperate Zatanna accidentally sends a dirty voice recording to powerful CEO Aleksei Vasiliev instead of her résumé… and somehow lands the job as his assistant. Meanwhile, Aleksei must marry and produce an heir within a year or lose his inheritance — talk about pressure.
I loved the chaotic meet-cute, the sizzling tension, and the irony of Zatanna being hired to find Aleksei a wife while clearly being perfect for the role herself. The danger, twists, surprise pregnancy, and workplace drama kept things intense, and the final reunion had me grinning. It could’ve been slightly tighter, but the spice, angst, and emotional payoff more than made up for it.
Liz Archer delivers bold chemistry, strong characters, and a satisfying HEA. Entertaining, dramatic, and deliciously messy — five stars from me!.

Started out good but...

The story was a little different and the author had very descriptive writing so it drew me in. However it went down the rabbit hole fast. The storyline was just Preposterous as it went on especially when she saw him in the shower taking care of his self both main characters were ridiculous. He needs a wife and an heir he likes her she likes him. He refuses her she sets him up with other dates. When they finally get intimate and she loses her anti-climatic and unrealistic. I lost interest after that and started scrolling I thought it would get better it didn't. The MFC got attacked several times. The MNC did nothing, he was very wimpy and naive. I'm sure it had a happily ever after but I couldn't deal with any more of this book.

When she accidentally sends an erotic recording instead of her resume and it opens her path with Aleksei. She is hired as his assistant and her job is to find him a wife, but close proximity has feelings growing between them along with the chaos and danger surrounding him. It is an action-packed book filled with drama that kept me glued to the main characters from start to finish.

Zatanna has been working making erotic recordings but is looking for a better paying job to help pay the rent and bills she is behind on. She applies and gets a job that has no clear requirements. Aleksei, the boss finally tells her job is to find him a wife/bride in a week. His grandfather's will requires him to marry and have a child in one year or lose his inheritance. When she accidentally walks in on him in his office shower things turn steamy. How will things turn out in this exciting Bratva romance?

You are going to be asking yourself why you didn’t read this book sooner.
Here is what I loved about reading this book:
1. The spice OMG it is definitely spicy.
2. The character development. Holy smokes Zatanna and Aleksei are both going to have your heart racing.
3. The suspense, there was A LOT and I mean A LOT. I was constantly gasping for air while I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I read this 20-star book. The suspense is definitely intense and kept me hooked.
4. The overall story is PHENOMENAL. Just when you think you have everything figured out another twist comes into the picture.
I LOVED EVERYTHING about this book, and I can see it becoming a best seller.

She needs a real job and quickly when she accidentally send a voice clip form her current job along with her resume, she figures that there no chance to get the job. So when she receives the email with the information about her new job she is unsure. Things get interesting quickly between her new boss and her, then the rumors start and she goes in to hiding. When he finally finds her again things are a lot different.

This was so boring slow and too long, I kept hoping this book was going to get better but it didn't 40% through and he was still going on dates with other woman. I ended up skimming the rest of the book because I was so bored with it. should have just given up on it.
It starts with him being told he has to find a wife in a week, yet that doesn't happen. It got confusing over that.
Needs editing as there were a few errors.

It’s amazing how much can be said when saying very little. These characters absolutely prove that. The inner monologue makes the story and allows them to say so much while saying almost nothing. I enjoyed that short banter between them.
A very intense story with a very intense Aleksei and surprisingly strong Zantanna. Love her name by the way.
And the bad guy in it all, complete surprise.
Long story, but well worth it.

One of the better ones of the genre…

Rest assured there’s a HEA but unlike many of the genre, it doesn’t come easily. I very much appreciated that I didn’t have to read too many pages of how Zatanna struggled when away from Aleksei or too many lines of male angst. The characters were likable, had chemistry and acted true to themselves. The twist was easy to see coming but that fact did not ruin the story. There is lively banter, some laugh out loud moments, and a strong story arc - all of which makes this immensely readable.

Zatanna comes to work for Alexsei and help him find a wife to maintain his empire. However, one of her recordings from her other job is accidentally sent to him, which peaks his interest in ways that he shouldn't consider. What develops is an intriguing story full of spice, secrets and betrayal. It was entertaining and definitely worth a read.

Well, I guess if you send a naughty text you’re going to get a job as an assistant to a guy that needs to get married and get his wife pregnant ASAP. Just so happened that it turned out to be her. This was wire the steamy story. I can say I didn’t see things going the way they did. But it was a great read nonetheless.

Loved it

Loved it, the story, all the tension, the heat, the twist near the end, all of it made the book excellent. Only problem I had with it is the will. It stopped being part of the story, it just disappeared from the narrative. Is it because Aleksei did not full-fill the criteria? The rest is worth reading, highly recommended.

Zatanna does what she must to take care of herself, with one mistake it all takes a great turn for her. So also starts Zatanna and Aleksei's story. I liked the story, and could have been a little shorter. You will find danger, humor, emotion, and spice and a HEA.

Zatanna is a beautiful broke woman. Aleksei is a sexy Pakhan. He needs to find a wife per his grandfather rules. Zatanna fills out a resume to Aleksei but leaves a sexy message. He hires her on the spot. They spend time together to find his wife but they have major chemistry. They are perfect together. Great book.

She never meant to send the recording, just the resume. He only wanted her for one job to find him a wife. When he meets her everything changes for both of them. What neither of them know is how much they will be going thru and who is behind it.

Great love always prevails!

He hires her to find him a bride. Yet he can’t stop thinking about her. She is setting up dates for him to take out, see who could become his wife. Yet she can’t stop thinking about him. The little glances, hungry eyes, words not said, are making it impossible for them to stay away from each other. The sparks ignite and the burn is so much more than either of them could imagine.

The romance of Zatanna & Aleksei has many things against them.. social standing being the biggest obstacle. They find common ground in their ongoing “sex” life but everything else gets in the way. Zatanna is attacked multiple times .. and although it seemed like the most obvious choice to go with an “ex” .. there is more to the story. This one was easy to get attached to the characters.

painfully naive

Z was painfully naive. From the first incident. No survival instincts. Turning down security. Going back to her place. Then inquiring about A with the employees.

HEA was expected and I liked that he waited to propose again.

Honestly, this book gave me the ick 90% of the time. The man was making her set up dates with other women to intentionally hurt her. And then when he decided that he couldn’t stay away from her, would pursue her and proceed to immediately push her away. Then was shocked when she left him. 🤷🏽‍♀️
