I was very disappointed by the lower marks that this children's book received, for being a chapter book meant for younger children I thought is was very well done. Clifford can sometimes be vague and not well put together, but this short novel was very well done in this reader's opinion.

"Clifford Finds a Clue" is all about Clifford working very hard to clear Emily Elizabeth's good name. If your children enjoy being a detective or a crime fighter, please read this story to them. They will hopefully enjoy trying to solve this mystery as my young ones did.

It was very cute as a read aloud with my 3 year old! He liked being able to solve the problem!

Chapter book

Great for beginning readers

Not high quality literature

But a great extension to the younger versions children should have grown up reading or having been read to

My daugther loves Clifford The Red Dog, so I wasn't all that surprised when she brought home this book, from her school library. I believe all of Clifford's books teaches our children about everyday life events in such a fun creative way. In this particular book Clifford Finds A Clue,I think it teaches our youngsters a very good lesson. Don't go around accusing others of stealing unless you know for sure that they were the actual one who stole it. Not only is it mean but it actually hurts the other person feelings. So unless you want it done to you don't do it to others....
