I see the concept but this could have used a bit more flushing out so things weren’t overly repeated. Did enjoy the lunatic couple but they could have used more building and a better flush out of how they ended up where they did.
Trapped by a Twisted Maniac definitely kept me entertained from beginning to end. The suspense had me constantly guessing, and I never really knew what was going to happen next. Every time I thought I had the plot figured out, another twist came along and proved me wrong. That unpredictability is what kept me turning the pages. The chemistry between the main characters was intense, and if you're looking for a dark romance with plenty of spice, this book definitely delivers. The emotional tension and mystery balanced each other well enough to keep me invested. My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the spicy scenes felt a little over the top for me. There were moments where I found myself wishing the story would get back to the plot because the mystery and suspense were what really hooked me. Overall, if you enjoy dark romance, obsessive characters, shocking twists, and a story that keeps you guessing, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.
I wouldn’t characterize this book as erotica because there isn’t gratuitous spice, but when there is, it’s very explicit. So be forewarned.
Outside of the spice, the story is interesting but the author left me wanting to know more about the before part of this story. I wan to know more about the uncle and why he was obsessed. The FMC tells us why she did what she did to the MMC all those years ago but I kind of want to see it. Also there were a lot of side characters with very strong feelings about the FMC and it would have been nice to see why people felt so strongly about her instead of just being like I hate her LOL.
It was a quick enjoyable read that definitely scratched an itch. I probably won’t reread but I will revisit some highlights.
Listen idk what I was expecting but I can 1000% say I was not expecting any of that. When I say this book had me skressed. Yeah I spelled it right skressed. Idk who PMO more and im still mad that no one knew the real reason Paris had to marry Ian. It didn't indicate if Preach heard what she said to her dad about his role. Anyway im glad he decided to forgive her and his family came around. As a mother named Latoya it was really crazy but his mama is me. The difference is I would've knew something was up putting the pieces together. Paris could've handled it different yes but battling mental health threats a parent who sold her off and obsessive powerful man had her thinking she had to do what she did. Anyway this is worth the ride it takes you on.
This book was all over the place, but somehow in the best way. I never really knew what was coming next, which kept me hooked the entire time. My biggest complaint is that I wish the characters had been more developed. It felt like we only got to know them on a surface level, and I would’ve loved to dive deeper into who they were and what shaped them. Even with that, I really enjoyed the story and honestly wish it was the start of a series because I would’ve loved to spend more time in this world.
I got about 30% in before I had to DNF. Something about the dialogue wasn’t hitting and was just a little cringey for me. I still think others should read it to form their own opinions because the premise of the book is good. I just wasn’t the target audience for this and that’s okay.
I appreciated the author giving that Author's Note. Even though one of the tropes is not a fav of mine everything else tickled my fancy and had me interested. This book may not be for me but I plan to dive into the authors catalogue
This was my first book by this author. Interesting storyline. The main characters were cool. The sexy scenes were spicyyyy 🌶️. Some typos but able to push through and keep it moving
This story was well written. It sucks you and has you wondering what’s next. I would recommend for a spicy story with characters who love each other regardless.
This book was crazy and spicy 🌶️! That first interaction between Paris and Preach almost took me out. I have never read something where a male was so sexually free. Wow 🤯
Ms. Nubian you have a winner with this one! He did not play about his wife or family. I LOVED reading this book, and will definitely be buying it as stocking stuffers!
