This was easily a five star read for me. Loved the characters. Out of the entire Simon family, I think Teague is my favorite, although Maverick comes close. Teague was a wounded warrior and he had the scars inside and out to prove it. Now, struggling with the demons that remain from an op gone bad, he's come home to the family cabin where he just wants to be left alone. Avoiding his family is difficult enough but when he finds his next door neighbor is a beautiful widow with two little kids who, for some reason, have taken a shine to him, Teague has his hands full. He's never had much to do with kids and while he finds Morgan and Harry cute, he doesn't appreciate their waking him up or appearing on his dock early in the morning while their mother is still asleep. However, they prove hard to resist once he gets to know them as does Sabrina, said mom. In spite of all his warnings to himself to stay away, he finds himself instead spending time with them.

I loved his interaction with the kids and the way he quickly got attached to them. Although Sabrina is still sad over her husband's passing, she can't deny her attraction to Teague. Although her best friend urges her to have fun, to let herself go a little and get involved with her handsome neighbor, Sabrina knows he's not there to stay. In fact, he never remains in one place very long.

The love story between these two was so touching. It left me sighing. I hurt for Sabrina when Teague told her he was leaving, wanted to slap him for doing so. Her too for letting him go. However, she understood his need to put to rest some of his ghosts and while it wasn't easy saying goodbye, she somehow found the strength to do so. It came as no surprise when he didn't find his return to Syria as satisfying as he thought it would be and while he got closure for that part of his life, it wasn't as rewarding as being with Sabrina was for him.

It took him awhile to get his head on straight but their reunion was worth the wait. Would definitely recommend this one if you're looking for a feel-good type of romance with a happy ever after at the end. Another winner from this author. Can't wait until the next Simon gets a crack at love.

REVIEW: TEAGUE is the fourth installment in Juliana Stone’s adult, contemporary The Family Simon romance series focusing on the Simon Family. This is US soldier Teague Simon, and widow/single mother Sabrina Campbell’s storyline. TEAGUE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Several of the characters from the previous storylines as well as Teague’s family play cameo roles throughout the story.

Told from dual third person perspectives TEAGUE follows the building relationship between two broken souls. Sabrina is a young widow with six year old twins Morgan and Harry, whose husband passed away from cancer: Teague is a soldier whose PTSD and injuries from his time in Syria, finds our hero lost in a world of nightmares and grief, with the death of a friend weighing heavily on his mind. While on R&R at his family cottage in Muskoka/Gravenhurst, Ontario, Canada, Teague will reconnect with childhood friend Sabrina Campbell while reconsidering another assignment that will take him away from his family and friends.

The storyline focuses on the rekindling of a friendship between Teague and Sabrina, and the growing bond between Teague, and Sabrina’s twins. Teague is a man whose demons ride fairly close to the surface, and he believes he is not capable of love or understanding with all that he has had to endure. His goal is to escape the nightmares and ghosts by embarking on another mission. At times, his attitude and patience push away the people he loves.

The relationship between our couple is slow to build as Teague tends to keep to himself a good portion of the storyline but as children always do, Morgan and Harry worm their way into Teague’s heart, opening a path for Sabrina and her love. The $ex scenes are intimate and romantic, without the over the top erotic factor.

Many of Teague’s family are present, some by way of mention, while others take an active role in Teague’s life. We are introduced to townie Josiah Duff whose interest in Sabrina catches Teague off his game.

The world building brings together the Simon’s and their extended family reminiscent of the Kennedy clan with their money, power and political aspirations. Teague is the war veteran who has seen too many deaths, and in this, the Simon family are concerned about their son, and sibling’s emotional recovery.

TEAGUE is a story with family and friends; romance and love; recovery and grief. It is also a story about two friends who reconnect at a time when both are in need of physical and emotional support. Juliana Stone’s THE FAMILY SIMON is a series about family, relationships and love, and in this, TEAGUE sees another Simon family member finding his happily ever after.

Good solid read. The heroine is a widowed single mom who apparently has been left well enough off that she doesn't have to work. The hero is staying in the cottage next to theirs on a lake apparently in eastern Canada. He's American, she's not. I think. Doesn't matter to the story. The hero is recovering from a fact-finding mission gone wrong. He has nightmares and drinks a lot, but it goes away pretty quick and easy when the heroine's almost 6-year-old twins start showing up and acting like really outgoing, inquisitive, borderline obnoxious kids. You know, regular run-of-the-mill kids. Since he can't make himself be mean enough to run them off, of course they and their pretty mom begin to bring him out of his shell. The heroine is still grieving her dead husband, and they're both reluctant but the chemistry between them is irresistible. No real surprises in this story, but it's well done and an emotional treat. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm sure I've said this before, but as with most of Juliana Stone's books this started well and then fizzled out for me. I always seem to enjoy the meeting of the h and H and their relationship development, but then around 2/3 of the way through the storyline seems to be clichéd and I lose interest. Sad because I like her writing.

Love this series but this story could have been a little fuller which would have added more emotion and allowed the reader to feel more connected to the characters. There were quite a few grammatical errors and I feel a professional editor would have fixed both these problems.

Well this series just gets better, not only does it change for each Simon family member but you get to see them all as a family. Teague has had a mention in previous books but we’ve finally got him in one place, after the events in Syria, Teague needs time to get over things but that’s easier said than done. Sabrina is still trying to get over the loss of her husband Brett, but with twins to care for she doesn’t get much time, so the summer is the perfect opportunity to get some clarity, but peace and quiet is not on the cards as both Teague and Sabrina discover, but will it be the best thing that could happen to either? Will their pain bring them together, or tear them apart?
Loved the story, plot, writing, and characters. Some grammatical errors but nothing to cause issue, some very sweet moments, lots of angst, misunderstandings, and hurt but some great scenes, and the sex was romantic. Would recommend.

Great Character!

Thoroughly enjoyed Book 4 of the Simon Family saga and absolutely love Teague.......he is portrayed magnificently with all the foibles, fears and determination of a man looking for himself after the ravages of war. Sabrina and her children,Harry and Morgan, add to this terrific story with its HEA. Each book is a stand alone however I think you will get far more pleasure if you read them in chronological order. This is 5 Stars all the way!

I loved this book and couldn’t stop reading. It’s my favorite in this series so far. Loved how Teague is so distant but can’t help falling for Sabrina and her kids. It’s so cute. It’s such a fun book but a bit of a slow burn too. Loved the chemistry between them too. But he messes up and I really felt the heartbreak. Loved how hard he works at being forgiven. Loved their happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.

I went into this book with zero expectations but knew it was going to be angsty. And wow, Sabrina and Teague blew me away. I loved every single second of this book. The characters and interactions kept me glued to the story and I never wanted to put it down! Teague and Bree are my favorites of all of the Simons!!

Two heartbroken souls that help each other find their way. I loved how this story came together & we are reintroduced to Sabrina, Harry & Morgan. Teagues character was such a different character to read about with all he went through also. So delighted with the ending & the effort taken to get a HEA.

This book I felt was the best one in the series! I love the characters and the storyline was gripping, it had me from the very first page. The editing was so much better there were not the errors that there were in the previous books . I have really enjoyed this series .

Good storyline, strong characters who have struggles but don’t do drama or angst. Two really likable families. The twins brought so much life to the book and I loved the way the author wrote them.

I again enjoyed another book of The Family Simon. This one had some darkness to it with Teague. But like the others in the series it ended in happiness.

I couldn’t wait to devour Teague’s story because this wounded, towering, larger than life hero’s emotional and physical scars grabbed my heart and wouldn’t let go. Equally compelling was the heartbreaking loss of Sabrina’s husband to cancer earlier in the series and the emotional devastation she feels while she struggles with her grief while trying to raise their precious twins. Teague doesn’t stand a chance of remaining aloof when the rambunctious six year old duo are around and his growing relationship with feisty Morgan and adventurous Harry added comedic relief and charm that was absolutely adorable. I was especially drawn to Sabrina’s pain, loneliness and sorrow as she tries to hold it together for her children while she deals with her capricious memories of the husband she loved so much. The emotional intimacy, growing affection and love between this couple was compelling as were the emotional demons Teague fights so hard to reconcile and I absolutely loved their story.

Perfectly awww! and I couldn't be sure, with a war-torn warrior and a young recent widow, this could have been a sob-fest, but, while there were some sad moments, they weren't overwhelming

Firstly, Morgan and Harry, we met them in other books, but here, they are just the perfect foil. Sad things are all around, but the honesty they present, it brings you to the now and all that is here now. Yes, there are children in the book, and yes, their dad has died. Oh, and they have a puppy, so yup, small children and a puppy to melt your heart

Secondly, this isn't instant attraction. Teague is not in a good place when they meet, and is kind of a dick to Sabrina. She is still recovering from her loss, and while she has her head on straight, she is still a little lost. Over time, they start to notice each other. Don't get me wrong, the book is basically over a couple of weeks, so not a lot of time, but still time

Thirdly, and finally, once they notice each other, it is super-sweet, extra hot and completely ga-ga. There is a separation, and it caused me more tears than any other part of the book. Teague pulls out all the stops to get, and keep, his woman. She doesn't go down without a fight, she isn't a pushover, so he has his work cut out for him

Overall, this was one of my favourites in the whole series, because both people had been knocked around by life but still wanted to keep living. And, of course, kids and puppies, you can't lose!

I got the pre-ordered edition on the day of release and the formatting of chapters ten to fifteen was missing.

Didn't quite live up to my expectations. Teague is living in the Simon family cottage. After an incident in Syria he has become a recluse, drinking heavily and washing infrequently. He can't sleep at night for the nightmares about Syria.

Sabrina and her two children holiday in the cottage next door. From previous books we know Sabrina and her kids, her husband Brent died about a year ago and she is having a hard time coping. She can't sleep at night from grief.

In some ways this story reminds me of the start of the Cary Grant Father Goose. Sabrina's adorable twins (and their puppy) insist on being friends with Teague despite his attempts to get rid of them.

Slowly Sabrina and Teague become friends and then lovers - but when Teague gets news from Syria he leaves.

I liked most of the book (despite the lack of formatting) but the last bit, Syria and the aftermath, seemed a bit perfunctory and almost as if the author thought "hm, how do I get out of this? I know a big gesture and brush it under the carpet."

Don't think I'll be pre-ordering the next one.

I enjoyed this cute, but emotionally charged book. I loved the kids in this book, Harry & Morgan, twins with no filters & looking for the attention of Teague. Sabrina & Teague are both characters holding on by a string. They've both had to deal with death & try to move on. Sabrina's husband died a yr ago from cancer while they were at their cottage & now she's trying to move on as a single mother with 2 very active children. Teague is back from the middle east & a blown op. They left behind someone & he had to do something that has haunted him. Teague is just looking to recover & get some peace & quiet from his family at their vacation cottage. Harry & Morgan keep him busy & in a way start the healing process that had been eluding Teague. I laughed so much in this book, but I also cried & wanted to shake Teague a few times to get his head back in the game. The phrase out of the mouths of babes is perfect for this book because every time one of the twins opened their mouths you just wondered where did that come from or wow how do they see that so perfect. REALLY good, definite recommend.

4.5⭐️ ... as a fan of this series I have waited patiently for the mysterious Teague and while I wasn't disappointed I really wanted more depth when he finally realized his feelings and decided to act on them. He was so easy to love, I just wanted more... As for Sabrina, my heart broke for her in the last books, seeing her loose her hubby and deal with her children in such a loving way really spoke of her true nature and she so deserved a total hot guy to adore her and her kiddos, so glad Tigger could fill that order. Loved this story!

The getting to know one another of the hero and heroine is always good then the story seems fizzle with unexpected scenarios that take the hero and heroine away from each other. Somehow they realise that they love one another and the getting back together are a little slapdash and perfunctory. Still wonder how Teague heard Sabrina's cry for help when she fell in the lake especially as he was in the boat house and weather conditions weren’t optimal. The grammatical and spelling don't do the novel any good and clearly means the editor did not do a good job. Otherwise not a bad read.

Perfect Story

I love Juliana Stone's books. I love the stories. I love the characters. I love the settings. I love the family ties.
Teague's book is no exception to this. He and Sabrina and her children are people you fall in love with. The lake cottage makes perfect backdrop to present the story. His family and her friends are the best supporting characters.
If you love a good family story with hot men and strong women, this story is for you.

I'm so glad this author did mason off series from the Barker sisters. This is one of my favorite series. Lots of love and emotions and steamy goodness. Teague and Sabrina are a perfect fit. Both of them needing help,to go on with life after tragedy hits them. I love stories that have children as important characters. Both kids were great parts to this story

I love catching up with the Simon Family. Great to see Teague's story and even better that an old family friend heals him as much as he heals her. I would have liked to know more about what he does when he disappears and felt increasingly frustrated with his stupidity of going off to Paris instead of coming home. The twins however are adorable!
