Wow. This story has had such an impact on me - the way Tina was able to reframe her thoughts, remain a huge support for the community and stay connected to her faith is so inspirational. Being from the same community I remember these events happening, but to read them be recounted by Tina with more details and understanding is so powerful. Such an emotional read.

This book was so beautifully written. There aren’t enough words to describe it. Everyone on PEI should read it. Every parent, every teenager, every person who has suffered a loss. Incredible.

Reading this book feels almost surreal—as if you’ve stepped into a deeply emotional work of fiction where the hardships seem too overwhelming to be real. You catch yourself thinking, no single family could possibly endure this much. And yet, that’s what makes this story so unforgettable: it’s true.

Tina tells her story with such raw honesty and vulnerability that you don’t just read it—you feel it. Every page pulls you deeper into their world, letting you experience the heartbreak, resilience, and love alongside them. It’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve finished the last chapter.

While it’s undeniably heartbreaking, it’s also incredibly important. This is a story that deserves to be read, shared, and remembered.

This book was an emotional read, where the Author has the true ability to be vulnerable with her inner thoughts and feelings. It’s heartbreaking to imagine living thru these tragic events, and there are honestly no words for that. Tina’s faith in God, her commitment to her marriage (finding & delivering strength) along with the way she gives back to her community, are all extremely inspirational to me. I pray that her, her husband Jason and their son Clay continue to heal.

If there was an infinite rating I would’ve rated this book as that. This is a book that I believe every single person should read. It’s heartbreaking yet powerful and I believe that every single person that reads this can take something from it. Tina showed so much bravery in writing and sharing her story and I can’t even begin to describe how much I admire her courage. She is a true inspiration.

I could not put this down from page one. A heartening story thru a mother’s eyes of their lives with their three sons. It’s a must read for anyone that has a family and also anyone who has experienced grief. My heart ached so wholly for her. Such a captivating well written book as a first book published by this author. Highly recommend !!!!

This story is personally touching to me because of where I grew up, but I think anyone would easily shed tears reading this. It’s been a while since a book has made me feel such raw, real emotion. For a first book, 10/10. Must read.
