Another good storyline. A good mix of crime and family drama. A good read.

Matt Brolly does it again!
The Correction is a chilling and troubling story of revenge. Set in the current day but with its links firmly rooted in the past of dreadful institutionalised abuse and cruelty.
Whilst this is the latest fictional tale for DCI Louise Blackwell to get stuck into, it raises some really pertinent questions about how children in care could easily be exploited for nefarious ends and even more easily become forgotten by the system designed to support them.
It's hard not to empathise with some of the characters seeking to redress and 'correct' the ills done to them many years before and even harder to realise that those whose role it is to bring justice to such people can dismiss the evidence even when it's put in front of them.
A compelling and well written read. 5 stars.

Read and enjoyed this whole series
I have read and enjoyed this entire Detective Louise Blackwell series. Read them in order if you can to understand the references throughout each subsequent book. However, each is easily followed as a standalone.
Louise Blackwell is a strong character who is surrounded by interesting key coworkers. Her villians provide stories that keep the pages flipping.
Highly recommended for British police procedural fans.

Another great read
Once again I really enjoyed this series. The police procedural always reads really fast like I'm each my it before my very eyes. I like that just when you think the story is going one way and then you get hit with a grittier aspect that turns it all around. Love the characters too. Can't wait for the next one

A real page turner...
The usual Matt Brolly high standard novel. Louise is my favourite of his characters, the authors insights into the difficulties of mothering and high stress occupations is excellent.

Another great installment!
I love the Louise Blackwell series! This one certainly did not disappoint. I only wish that it would had been available as an audiobook. I hope they decide to record one soon, and that Matt Brolly keeps releasing more great novels and audiobooks!

Well worth the read
Matt writes so really interesting books. I like the way it kept bouncing around making you think who did it, how and why. Great reading to the end. Well worth the read.

Another great DCI Blackwell adventure
I read this as soon as I got it. Lived the plot line and am eagerly awaiting another. I think it is time for Miles to get his own series.

BRILLIANT
I read all the books by Matt Brolly and this is probably one of my favourites. I love the Louise Blackwell character and how she handles everything. Highly recommended.

Blimey, what do I say about Matt Brollys story telling. It was a great read and I finished it in a couple of days, lazily sitting reading in the garden. Keep them coming Matt but I really should get some housework done.

Another excellent plot line which twists and turns of the story which keeps you guessing. Good interaction with main players and some sad news regarding her parents.
