This was honestly better than I expected. This series has random gems that are actually good and this is one of them.

2.5⭐️. Being generous because for some reason these predictable not very well written books help me get out of slumps. They require very little from the reader.

I rated this one lower than most of the others from this series because it was at least 200 pages too long. Very repetitive and little details were messed up. One chapter she was due in 6 weeks, then it said 7 weeks. She was driving herself home, then he was driving her home. This happened several times. Add that to how repetitive it was, and it was a bit of a slog.

DNF

I gave up at 30% through. There were several inconsistencies that should have been picked up by a content editor, and it got to be too distracting. I'm done with this series, period. The basic plot is the same throughout, and the titles feel like someone popped a handful of words into a random generator to see how many ways they could put those words together for titles. I liked the main characters, but the plot still felt like a regurgitation of the previous books in the series.

Better than most in this series

This had a good storyline, was written decently and had good characters. My only critique really was it was a bit too long. The first 13 chapters are nothing more than the MMC and FMC pining for each other. The rejected part was actually one of the best I’ve read - I understood why he did it, based on the facts he was given.

Great Banter, good grovel and an HEA

Well-written with a few inconsistencies and repetitions. Story is well done, banter is excellent. FMC is strong and smart and not the usual mess. Loved the side characters and Buddy the dog stole the show.

Where is the grovel? What is it with these books that the guys do horrible things to their "mates" and then barely apologise? It shows women as weak and emotional. Naive and stupid. I can't believe women write this crap about other women 🤦🏼‍♀️

AND the series has 72 books between 300-500 pages per book. The first book was released in September 2025. So, idk. Well, no. I know. If this is AI slop, 🖕.

That’s it. I’m done no more books from this series. I’ve hated more than I’ve liked. The MMC is the weakest Alpha King. The FMC forgives way too easily. Don’t get me started on the MMCs mother.

I’d give it a 5 but the authors were so good at making me dislike Mr. Kingsley that I just can’t, and 4.5 isn’t an option.
