"There was a fine line between crazy and brave."

I've been meaning to try a James Patterson book for a while, so I went into this one with pretty high expectations. The short chapters and casual writing style filled with cultural references made it an easy, fast-paced read. I also liked the constant twists and turns, although the story relies a bit too much on convenient moments. Plus, the key characters lacked much depth in both their internal and external struggles, so they didn't leave a lasting impression on me. As a result, this wasn't a particularly memorable read, but I can easily imagine it being adapted into a fun action movie.

Really quick and easy read. I have always been a fan of JP. I really enjoyed it. In my opinion not one of his best works, but still would absolutely recommend it. Some of the twists I saw coming, others I did not.

Enjoyable

I did like this book, but unlike a lot of JP books, I was able to put it down for a time then come back to it. Just read the previous two or three pages to remember where I was. It wasn’t as catching as others, where I could put it down, but I had to finish it to see how it panned out. It didn’t disappoint.

Halston Graham and her brother are trying to get their father released from prison and the only way to do it is through an elaborate con with multiple facets.

Well written, moves at a decent pace, with interesting and believable characters. One twist follows another, keeping you on your toes throughout and constantly wondering, is this actually happening or is it just another part of the master plan?

I don't know how he dose this but book after book what ever subjects they always come out like a master piece Patterson grabs your by the collar and drags you along through his books ?

Wow this book really did show how long Halston & Skip were willing to pay to save their father. I gave it 3 stars because it genuinely was boring to me only the last 100 pages were that exciting to me, those were real page turners.
