God's Last Offer: Negotiating for a Sustainable Future

Rate this book
Monumental changes are occurring on the planet, yet most people are unaware of them. In God's Last Offer, environmentalist Ed Ayres paints a vivid "big picture" of where the world is headed. He identifies a lethal combination of events -- radical climate changes, increasing species extinction, unsustainable consumption, and exploding human populations -- and presents a blueprint for a radical shift of policies and priorities to avoid a cataclysm.

26 years, and whilst some progress has been made we are also making things so much worse. Thought provoking and potentially more topical than even when it was published in 2020. Certainly enables some new thought processes to be engaged. It took me so long to read because I kept having to check to see if things had got better or worse. Lots of questions answered we just need to be better and much much quicker.

More than 20 years since its publication, Ed Ayre's book is more relevant than ever.
If you have ever wondered why why people "don't do anything" for climate action, this book will give a good explanation why and what would make a difference.
