Bear shifter Clover is steaming mad and ready to be fitted with a new pair of bear skin boots. How dare the sexy head of security for the McCoy clan forbid her younger sister from marrying his brother? His brother knocked the girl up and he’s going to do right by her, or her name isn’t Clover Lulabelle Movie Star Windwalker Jones – which, unfortunately, it is. (Her parents were hippies.) His. Clover is hotheaded, impulsive, demanding – and she’s his. Sam McCoy knows it the second he lays eyes on her. Sure, he’s arrested most of the members of her family at one time or another, and now she’s blaming him for ruining her younger sister’s life – details, right? Sam has a secret weapon – he gets her a marketing job at his family’s jelly and jam factory, which will help her retain custody of her brother and sisters. Late nights at the office and some sexy honey samplings lead to even sexier times, and the possibility of a future – until Clover’s past comes back to haunt her and threatens to tear apart the family she’s fought to save.
Georgette St. Clair writes hot, sexy romances starring Alpha heroes. The road to love may be rocky and fraught with peril (and humor and scorchtastic sex and healthy heapings of snark), but her shifters will stop at nothing to claim the women they love.
Georgette has worn many hats in life: newspaper reporter, EMT, internet marketer, cocktail waitress, temp, nurse’s aide (not in chronological order).
When she’s not rescuing fur-babies, she spends her days in a fantasy universe where she nudges her smart-mouthed, take-no-gruff heroines onto paths which will set them on a collision course with true love.
The plots of this series keep getting stronger, but being all about romance, I wish there was a bit more of it. Will definitely read any more that Georgette put out!
4 1/2 stars. I think this may be one of my favorite books I read from this author in a while. I really enjoyed the characters. The H was pretty much your basic alpha male, possessive type, but I felt the h and her family really stole the book. She was a good combination of sweet and strong, and her younger brother and sisters were very funny. I ended up really liking the couple together. I also thought it was interesting how not everything went smoothly between the h and all the members of her family--there were some twists I really was not expecting. Also, these was a nice balance of suspense and steam that kept the storyline going. The reason I could not give it a solid 5 stars was pretty much because I really wanted more. The timeline moved very fast in some spots, and I really wish it did not end so abruptly--maybe a tiny epilogue. I know this is the author's style, but I get so into the story, and she is so creative, I would like to see her books longer.
She said yes! While one shifter switched from wolf to bear...anyone interested finding out how
Never mess with a bear shifter on a mission to save her family. Clover dropped out of college to take care of her siblings when her parents got involved in some illegal activities. While going to help out one of her sisters she falls in love with Sam McCoy and the romance blossomed at first site. Autumn took after there father and was a wolf shifter but in the heat of saving her family she mutated and shifted into a bear and that was one angry bear. No one seen it coming and she kicked some serious bear butt. This is a must read. Read it in one sitting. Could not put it down. A must read. I love the Blue Moon Junction series.
This might just be my favorite story out of Blue Moon Junction! I absolutely loved the characters, yes even the kleptomaniac kids! Her alpha bear really got her, he understood what made her tick and was more than happy to experience the madness, and she was all family, but she was more about what her morals said were right and best for the children. The author took us on a wild adventure of love, life and family, on the way to a phenomenal HEA. I truly hope this is not the last story we see out of Blue Moon Junction.
Clover is now in charge of a tiny pack of felons in training. Well they are her siblings but still, they were little criminals. She had to take them somewhere and her sister, Starfire, being left pregnant at the alter by Jeremy McCade was not going to stand. Sam McCade was going to get a piece of her mind since he is the one who insisted Jeremy leave her poor sister.
Too bad Sam has other plans for the curvy little bear. She was going to be his if it was the last thing he would do. But he had to convince her to come around to seeing why he had not let his little brother marry her sister. And it had nothing to do with the fact that she was a Jones, a family of known criminals and low-lives.
Finally a story where you find out everything that you need to know with no need to look for another book in the series just to find out what is going to happen or where someone got to where they are. Given, I would like to strangle some of the Jones family members but having grown up in one of those families that all the cops in town knew your last name and all of your families very long rap sheets makes me sympathetic to Clover. Poor girl. Enjoy.
I didn't really like the narrator as she was terrible when it came to the male dialogue parts! She made him sound creepy, menacing and a-holey.
The book itself is not my fave shifter romance. It ends very suddenly and unsatisfactorily. Also, it just seemed so shallow and we never got to know much about Sam, he was a very surface character to me. I really liked The Billion-Were Claims His Mate by this author but it's the only book by her that I've really enjoyed so far...
I've read a tooonnn of PNR, Sci-Fi and every type of romance out there but this one falls short for me.
Great shifter story! Clover made the decision to take care of her four younger siblings when her hippie parents disappeared. But these siblings are very young and very smart criminals. Then Clover gives Sam McCoy a piece of her mind when she finds out he forbid his younger brother to marry her fifth sibling. The thing is she is very attracted to Sam but she is conflicted. How could she want Sam after the way he treated her sister? This is where the story gets spicy and unpredictable but ends happily for Clover and Sam.
Very enjoyable read. Clover is a bit blinded to the faults of her sister and parents at first but she does love her younger siblings something fierce. Her relationship with Sam is a bit wobbly but entertaining for the most part. Sam comes on strong in his pursuit of Clover but he does at least admit his feelings fairly quickly. Enjoyed the ending, well wrapped up and go Autumn. Read and reviewed years ago but review missing. No hardship to reread.
I really enjoyed this quick read/listen. It is well written and preformed. This book as well as the series as a whole were loosely connected and I would have had no problems starting with any of the 4 books. This series was my first time trying this author and I am very happy I did. I will continue to purchase her work.
Clover’s blind devotion to her family causes all sorts of problems when she becomes guardian of her younger siblings so her grifter parents can go on into hiding. Now she’ll do anything to save the kids... even turn her back on the man she loves.
Really good story and loved the younger siblings antics and criminal ways. Disappointed that the book finished so unexpectedly. All in all though a really good read.
I've read many of her books over the years and have enjoyed them and believe me when I say I went looking for a new one to read. Enjoy reading one for yourself.
I'm really enjoying the series and loved this book, a great addition to the series. Sad to see the series come to an end. It had me interested from start to finish. Great plot, great character building, great characters and well written.
Well what can I say that has not already been said. Georgette is an amazing writer, her stories are so go you can literally picture what is happening in your mind. She draws you in on that first page and then she has you, and you can not put down the book till the end. And even then your wanting it to not have ended. I love that feeling like I am in the story right with the characters and she dose just that to you. so much so you don't want to leave it. and your ready for the next book. Clover has to be my favorite Character right now. What a name her parents gave her Clover Lulabelle Movie Star Windwalker Jones. (Seriously what are parents who name their kids names like that. heck I went to school with Sterling Silver poor kid was always picked on ( I kid you not). But Clover is a strong proud curvy gal and not afraid to take on the big bad bear shifter Scott who wont let her sister marry his brother. Oh and when you find out why you will be just as ticked of as Clover was. not to ruin this but you have to lover her siblings and the criminal tendencies. I loved how turned those tendencies over for the good and not the bad.
I hope you enjoy this book as Much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do, they value your opinions too.
I love a feisty protective sister. Clover is all that and more as she collects her siblings closely and tries to protect and keep them safe. Clover is one of those women you admire and feel sorry for. Admire because she takes the worse aspects of her upbringing and diligently works to teach her siblings to be better people in spite of what her parents are teaching them. And sorry because sometimes she feels like a salmon swimming upstream and it’s hard not to lose hope in the constant battle.
Sam on the other hand has had a perfect childhood and wants what he wants. His character isn’t a snob like some of the others in town and he sees the wonderful person Clover is. He is quite humorous in this story as he works around Clover’s resistance as she constantly keeps shutting him down.
This story will have you laughing, feeling hot, hot, hot, and feeling sad for some losses and hard decisions. It’s is an enjoyable, draw you in read. I give it 4 hearts.
I WAS GIFTED THIS ARC BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST OPINION
I like Georgette St Clair books- they are short reads but never disappointing- unless, like me, you wished the story was longer; longer because you fall in love with the characters and wish there was more to read regarding them. The love scenes are mildly erotica - and appropriate in the sense that the heroine and hero don't get it on from chapter one- there is a build up so that the stories arent about only the sex. The plot and bad-guys are built up too - St Clair writes a great read! I'm never disappointed (just long for the story to be longer)
"3 out of 5 stars. Clover loves her family. She would do anything for them. Even if they are petty criminals kids who she's hoping to reform. Even if it means making an "enemy" of Sam--one of the nicest guys is town. But with a little luck Sam might "reform" her and her life instead...
This was a sweet novel and it has the typical banter sassiness that Ms. St. Clair likes to throw in."
Clover had the responsibility of watching after her siblings and had come down to Florida from New York because her sister said she was pregnant. She went to see Sam who she had a crush on when she was younger because he stopped his brother from marrying her sister. He had a good reason but would not tell Clover. This book was hilarious. I could not put it down it was great reading about all of her siblings. Loved this book. Read until it was finished in one sitting. A lot of tension between Clover and Sam and a wonderful love story.
I have to say that I found some editing errors. Wrong name usages. I found a Chloe in there somewhere and a Coral. Coral was used in the love scene and to be honest it kinda ruined it for me. LOL. It was shorter than some of her other work. I wont say I was disappointed with this book but it did seem not as detailed as the others. Character development with Sam and their relationship was fast and there wasn't much to it. Too many other things going on. So, not essentially my favorite but I did enjoy reading about Clover and her brother and sisters. They were a hoot.
When you struggle all your life to be true to yourself it's hard having to accept that some decisions you made may not have been the best. Clover made the decision to go to college and leave her younger siblings with her parents, but now her parents are on the run and she is responsible for 4 criminal-minded kids. And oh by the way, she has no job and no money, but very righteous anger. See how Clover helps teach the kids to do the right thing and save them at the same time.
This story is book four in a fabulous shifter series set up in the rural Florida. If you have already fall in love with the series, then this book will be another delight, but if you have yet to sample this shifter goodness – you can start with The Alpha Claims a Mate. St. Clair is well known for her big, beautiful, women focused stories, and has three series dealing with shifter romance. This was an easy four out of five rating for the feisty female lead, the determined male character, and the amusing support characters in an entertaining and action-packed story.
Short, quirky, fun. Strong young female lead( and I usually don't like to read about the younger twenty somethings but she was great) an awesome lead guy with the usual security background, but alpha in a not so obnoxious way, although arrogant as hell. A few erotic sex scenes for those that need them ( and yes, I do sometimes, lol) but they didn't even need them. Intrigue, family drama, and you have the story. A good read for a day at the beach, kids at the pool. Etc. :) I even would like to see a story about Autumn when she is older. She was a great kid.
This was an excellent story! I loved the dialogue between Clover and her younger siblings. The characters were fully realized, Sam and Clover have to work through things before any magic happen. The plot movement was steady and it was sweetly sexy as well as having an intriguing back story! This was a full novel, no cliffhanger, which I appreciate so much! Live reading more of Georgette St Clair's book for sure. I would highly anticipated recommend that you add this book to your " gotta read this" book list.
This was a great story with a very interesting storyline. The heroine was strong and faithful, as well as being a wonderful big sister to her siblings. Our hero was sexy, confident and a true alpha male. I do wish there could have been more interaction with the children and the hero (especially Autumn) she seems very interesting. Maybe a story of her own. I gave this story a solid 4 stars.
I Liked the lead characters and even the secondary ones as well. There was a bit of mystery and slight action. The eclectic personalities worked with the story. Even with the family dynamic being different from the norm there was still a good family bond with the siblings that were together. Saw a few familiar faces from previous books but they were just glimpses. Might be one of my favorite heroins from her series.
Great story. Loved the ending. The Blue Moon Junction series is fun, filled with shifters, crime sprees and general mayhem. Enjoyed the tension between Sam and Clover the only sane member of her criminally inclined family. Give this author a try you won't be disappointed.
I do love this Authors books and this one was no exception. it has a good storyline with lots going on and the excitement and intrigue keep you interested from beginning to end. The antics and attitude of Clover's brother and sisters add humour and when you throw in the heated attraction between Clover and Sam as well as some steamy love scenes and this story really does deliver it all.
