Normally I love James Patterson books, but I have to admit that this story, it was slow, ponderous, entirely predictable and none of the twists were in the least surprising, I predicted them all from the beginning. The main story is about a girl called Halston, so American then eh? Who else would call a girl by such a silly name? Who has a brother she calls Skip and between them they are trying to get their father out of jail, because although he was guilty of a crime, they think he is not at fault and want to get the person and people who were at fault. The story was not that good, it was not that well written and frankly quite boring really, which is a surprise, because I like most of his books, the Alex Cross and the Private books. This one just didn't really cut it. This is one I even read the actual printed book and not a e-book. I kept having to read another book in between, less boring and it still only took me about three hours in total to read it.
